Holiday Inn - Terre Haute by IHG

It has been nice it is quiet and the availability is great for the price, the only down fall is that the hot tub wasn't open and the bathroom mirror was a bit dirty other that that it has been a nice stay

Pool closed without notice, hot tub not working, no hot water

Unfortunately one of the several rooms we reserved for New Years Eve was infested with cockroaches. The pool was filthy the water very murky. The hottub water turned BROWN mid evening. No towels were available in swim area. Very disappointing.

Very nice hotel,but I only booked it because it had a hot tub,but it was broken,so I was not happy!!

My room had garbage under the bed mirror was so streaks no pool towels on one side of hotel elevator didn’t work. Ice makers didn’t work. There was a side door broken. The staff at the front desk didn’t seem to care about any of my issues. I have been coming there for several years and staying at this location. Maybe I need to change it.

Hot tub broken. It was the reason why I chose this place. But I do have to say the hotel had clean room and staff was exceptional.

The stay at this hotel overall was just okay. I'm sure you can get more for your money staying elsewhere. The room was very dusty and just showing some wear and tear in the bathroom. The pool was nice but so busy that they couldnt keep up with all the towels that were needed. Breakfast was not ready at 6:30 as the confirmation email had stated. The staff said that was the weekday time and its at 7:00 on the weekends.

In my honest opinion, and because I choose hotels based on reviews left (within reason), I was completely disappointed with IHG on this location. They jacked up the price during an event weekend. I mean who spends over $250 on a basic 2queen room in Terra Haute?! (I used my rewards for this stay) & chose it based on high reviews. We stayed here for the Ride Across Indiana (well over 600 + people) event- they start early so we all have to leave by 5:30/6:00. We asked what time breakfast would be put out- “7:00am” okay- we leave early- can we have a grab and go option? - “ no, we don’t do that”. Bummer. How about coffee and tea? “No. But I will see what we can do.” I just visited over 10 hotels in the past two weeks on a road trip. Every single one offered, coffee, tea, and water in the lobby at all times. There was none here. Every ice machine on every floor was out of service. Front desk women were inconsiderate & not welcoming. No hospitality. Not enough towels or coffee for room occupancy. AC broken. 1 pillow per person - first time for that one. In the am they were setting up breakfast and had some fruit and muffins out (but lights were still off) I attempted to grab some and was told they are closed and not to go past her barrier (as she walked outside for her break) Yikes! Thankful- no bed bugs, and room seemed to be clean enough. Would not choose this hotel again. Dinner at steakhouse was wonderful but found out I could have shown rm key for discount.

Very satisfied with the room and amenities provided. Friendly staff and good check in experience. My only criticism involves parking. They seem to be a strange arrangement of disabled parking and some of the spaces are further away from the door than normal spaces. My biggest criticism is there is only one way in to the hotel. Most places I have stayed at have multiple entrances and exits to accommodate the need to park in different areas of the lot. Also, when I did leave through an exit only door, I found it was not latched and closed properly. It was during the day but had it remained that way anyone could have entered without a key and not in view of the front desk.

Very clean and much more modern and updated from most other hotel chains. Excellent pool/hot tub area layout.

The room was really clean and comfy. Breakfast was really great. There is Also Longhorn restaurant attached to the hotel, you just need to walk in through the hotel lobby. I really liked everything there.

We had to switch rooms because the rooms heat and ac wasn't working. Then in the second room we found a bed bug on the bed. We let the hotel staff know and told them that we wanted a refund but they said that we had to request a refund through expedia since thats where we booked it. Was also told that the manager would call monday to discuss the bed bug problem, but never received a phone call. We would like a full refund on our stay due to all of our troubles.

As a housekeeper myself, I had higher expectations for the cleanliness of the accommodations. In particular, I noticed that the bathroom could have benefited from a more thorough cleaning. There was a noticeable amount of soap scum buildup in the shower, which detracted from the overall impression of cleanliness. However, I must say that the bedroom was satisfactory; it appeared tidy and well-organized.

I am not one to typically leave reviews, but my stay at the Holiday Inn Terre Haute was certainly the worst hotel experience I've ever had. It began with trying to check in. No one was at the front desk, I waited and called for more than half an hour - nothing. Then when someone finally showed up, she checked me in, and let me know that the other employee onsite had quit. I felt this was weird considering there were papers strewn across the desk, cash laying near the computer, and a half eaten pizza near the front desk. Why is there only one employee on the premises anyway? The woman told me she would be giving me a discount due to the long wait and inconvenience - which did not happen. The condition of the room itself was unacceptable. Dirty bed, dirty bathroom, and it had a sour dingy smell. When trying to take a shower there was absolutely zero hot water, I let the water run for a bit, hoping it just needed a moment - no hot water AT ALL. Went to sleep feeling absolutely defeated. I reached out online to the hotel to discuss my experience and was told someone would reach out - they never did. Do not recommend staying here, just an overall unacceptable experience for $160 a night.

I’ve stayed here twice now. Very clean. Pool was well cared for. Friendly staff. Best continental breakfast of any hotel I’ve stayed at in the past decade or so. Quiet. Close to restaurants/stores. Definitely a repeatable road trip layover spot.

Very clean and convenient to anything needed in town.

Booked this hotel online for Mothers day weekend to take the misses for a relaxing night in a hottub and the pictures show a nice hottub online but the hotel has no hottub. Also requested and paid for a room with two queen beds, got a king, with blood on the sheets! Im not kidding!!! The room dont even have a bathtub. Hands down the worst experience Ive ever paid for and now my girlfriend is breaking up with me.

Worst holiday inn. Room was dirty, carpets looks like they were not cleaned in years and it smelled really bad.

The breakfast was great. A lot to offer. Very clean. Staff was nice. Room was clean.

Didn’t have our room ready when we arrived at 5pm even though check in started at 3pm. Put us in another room with an uncomfortable bed , neither of us could sleep so we left at 4am . Won’t stay there again.

Room had broken door latches to the bathroom and just beat up in general. Had a musty smell to it also.....

Smoke alarm chirped all night

Stayed two nights. Bed was comfortable. TV had over 70 channels to choice from. Restaurant attached to hotel is a nice convenience.

Comfortable and quiet

Spacious room and bathroom. Breakfast was included and very good.

My water pressure in my room was not up to par. Specially at the sink. The water came out very slow. Overall stay was good.

Unabke to pull drapes across window to block the outside lights. Luckily i brought a sleeping mask

Rooms are nice size and beds are comfortable. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Breakfast was very good. But the hotel is so big that it runs out of hot water in the morning.

The staff was amazing and very helpful

Waited 20 min for someone to show up at check in desk. Manager tried, didn’t know how to book someone in. Desk person really not interested in helping a customer. Walk in rate offered was far higher than Expedia, desk person didn’t offer any solution and said just book on Expedia… so I did.

The staff was so RUDE!

Staff was accommodating when we arrived, our room was next to a very noisy neighbor and we requested a changed immediately. We were put into a different room with zero problems. Both staff and guests were friendly at all hours and areas of the hotel when our 3 year old wanted to run into the elevator or have fun in the halls. We were greeted with all smiles, this hotel will be our preferred stay when we are in the area!

Had to wait to check in, no one managing the front desk. Maybe I have been spoiled by staying at newer facilities across the county.

We waited 3 hours to check in. Waiting 3 hours with two little kids .

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean. Breakfast was very good with a variety of hot and cold foods.

This was the night we had the tornado warning in the area at 3:00am. Brittany and Nick did a great job calmly directing people where to go and seeing if they needed anything, including making a fresh batch of coffee.

It was conveniently located near the interstate highway. Good breakfast with friendly staff.

Safe area. Good breakfast spread and maintained property. Room had a piece of licorice on the floor and an old key card. Wasn’t the cleanest. Overall good stay.

Clean room, everything was fine. The breakfast choices were amazing. Real plates and silverware, very environmentally friendly, and right next to a Texas Roadhouse.
