I booked because they have sauna however the Sauna wasn’t working but they only said it when I didn't say anything about. I had to stay there anyway. Next time post it then I can make a decision where I would stay for my whole weekend.

The place was beautiful! The staff was great! They had 2 ice machines in the hotel and both were broken and we were told that they had been broken all week. My husband had to walk downstairs to the bar/ restaurant to get ice. We were traveling from Maine back to Pennsylvania and with a cooler of drinks and food. For the price we paid for the room we expected working ice machines!

A beautiful, quaint hotel. The room was very clean. The hotel lobby was tastefully decorated and I was happy to see the Christmas decorations. The restaurant was great although service slow due to the lack of help. It is open on a limited basis. The pool area and hot tub seemed outdated and small. Nonetheless fun as well as the small arcade. The fitness area was good and more spacious.

Parking is convenient and free. Staff were friendly. My room was clean and comfortable. The pool and fitness area were clean and well kept. There's also a mini arcade area with air hockey and a few games. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and look forward to my next visit.

We saw beautiful photos of the pool, so when we arrived we decided to take a dip. What a mistake! The whole pool area smelt of very strong cholrine. Anyway we went into the "hot tub" and a drop of water touched my eye; afterwards my eyes burned for over an hour. It seemed the amount of chlorine well exceeded the required amount.

Beds and pillows were comfortable, bathroom door slid open by itself and lock was installed backwards so it would not lock. Bathtub did not drain. Lobby stairs carpet was dirty, needed a good vacuuming, but restaurant dinner food was good!

We found a brown-colored bodily fluid stain on one of our sheets. Staff moved us to another room. The lobby is beautiful; the rest of the hotel looks like a very ordinary, bland hotel. Amenities are nice, but all come with an extra price tag, from the games in the game room to the coffee in the lobby. Overall, this is a reasonable stay for the $140 price point, but with just a little extra work, it could have been so much lovelier. And I mean... the discovery in our bed didn't help.

Room was noisy at times. Not sure if it was bad luck but we could hear the people upstairs at all hours of the night. Things kept rattling on our room every time they walked. Also, we were at the end of a corridor where it seemed everyone came to talk on the phone... it was also near an exit door and often the smell of cigarette smoke would seep in through the door. The heat/cool unit in the room was also not very good. It either burned hot or was freezing cold even when we tried to adjust, it onlt seemed to work on 2 settings. It's really unfortunate because the hotel was actually pretty nice, the amenities were great but the room was below average.

TV didn't work had to move rooms 3 times still no TV . Was inconvenienced, frustrated moving belongings from one room to the next. Staff pleasant enough. But after working all day just wanted to relax and watch TV

I do realize that the Colonial Hotel has been around for a long time, so I think the floors need to be updated. Very noisy while walking and the floor in our room, it seemed as though the plywood under the carpet was not attached. Otherwise, it was a very nice stay.

It’s an overall nice place. The bed in my room was rickety. When you moved it creaked. And the pillows where awful. Hard to get comfy. Used the pillows from the couch too.

Check in was horrible because they did not know how to access the reservation page. After a very long drive we had to stand in the front desk for half an hour. Check out was even worse because the ladies at the front desk were saying we were undercharged. But we paid the full amount at the time of reservation. They were very rude and barely acknowledged us. I was trying to show my payment receipt but they barely looked my way and as they said did not want to deal with “it” as in me. I am a person not an it. This is the first and last time my family and I will be staying here.

Very rude staff at check in. The lady seemed very irritated and was very short with us. We were just arriving and apparently there had been a lot of kids at the pool and it needed to be closed. There were a lot of little ones present in the lobby area but they all seemed well behaved. It just rubbed off on us when we arrived I guess. Maybe the front desk is understaffed.

We were greeted upon arrival in the evening and were in a room within minutes. When we left the following morning a hearing aid charger was left and the hotel graciously mailed it priority to my sister. We are very grateful.

I reached out to this property a couple days in advance. Because I was going to be arriving quite late, and wanted to make sure that check in at that time of night was alright. I also inquired about a late check out. The property management responded to me within 24 hours and were able to to accommodate me smoothly. Very kind and friendly staff. Room was clean and spacious. I did not access this for my own needs, but I saw that there were beautiful grounds outside too- very well taken care of.

I love this place! I've stayed here twice to break up a long trip. It's the perfect place to relax. It's not within walking distance of anything, but you don't need to leave the hotel - the bar and restaurant in the hotel are perfect. I highly recommend this place.

The room was large and comfortable. The bathroom was small, but the shower was excellent. The service in the restaurant was very slow and the meal was just OK. There was no complementary coffee in the lobby. The only choice for breakfast was a continental breakfast for $19.95.

The hotel was very nice outside and inside. I only stayed 1 night and we got in late. They did allow me to have a late checkout time at noon. (we did leave well before that) We had drinks and nachos in the Gardner grill. Very good drinks and the nachos were also very good. I do wish they provided complimentary coffee for guests in the morning. Instead , you can buy coffee pods for the coffee pot in the hotel room for a couple of dollars each. Overall it was a comfortable night's stay.

The experience was very good with the exception of the restaurant on the premises. Dinner menu was average and so was the food. The Sunday brunch was below average. Not worth the price charged. I would stay here again, just find other places to eat.

The Colonial is great and has served me and my extended family well over the years. Only complaint, and not sure there is a way to fix it due to occupancy volume or lack there of, but the bar and kitchen being open later than 9pm on a week day would be very beneficial for people with late flights and late arrivals to the hotel.

Front desk staff was wonderful and able to check us in early. The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent- something that lacks frequently today. And the attached restaurant had wonderful food and service. We will definitely stay there again.
