Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham New Iberia

The hotel smelt of urine and smoke. The pool was green and had trash all over it. The hotel room smelt and had holes in the wall. We went down stairs for breakfast at 6:30. Breakfast starts at 6. The whole breakfast area was black. No food. Rang the bell hard to a guy who walked out of a back room, he was sleeping. I asked him if he was doing breakfast and he said yah. Well is started 30 minutes ago. He just looked at me. I said I need to checkout and he walked off. Like literally walked off. He came back after I said aren't you going to check me out. He looked and me and said your checked out. Didn't even check to see what room number I was. This hotel was so disgusting I have no words. Had to hold our breath down the hotel hallway to our room. We usually do bad hotels when we just need to crash but this was insanely bad.

Rooms are dirty, left my socks black, room smelled like someone was living there. Locks on door broken. No hot breakfast, only cereal. No late check out don’t know why anyone would want to stay there. Pool is green! Vending machines broken. Slums living there.

This hotel was just average. No pool, no elevator and breakfast was very minimum. On the second floor, very strong odor of weed.

Decent beds place to stay be didnt perform housekeeping 2 days in a row and couldn't tell me why besides he's not sure because he doesnt work there. Breakfast drink machine wasnt working. Breakfast only have ceral and hunnybuns. Pool wasn't available.

Need to take pool off of features, secondtime we have stayed at this location and pool still broken.

The location was convenient. The price wouldn't be bad if the room & hotel were up to par. The carpet in the hallway was threadbare & the hallway smelled awful. Some of that smell carried over into the room but I had room & linen spray, which helped. The sheets/towels were clean, thankfully, but I wiped down the surfaces in the room & some of those were pretty dusty. The website shows there is a fitness center. I never saw one. There is a business center, but it is crammed full of boxes (they appear to be making improvements--hopefully it will get better soon?). The breakfast consisted of coffee, juices, bananas, packaged muffins & 2 kinds of cereal (corn flakes, raisin bran). The air conditioner worked. The room included a small fridge & microwave, which was convenient. Most of the plugs in the room need to be replaced and there were no USB outlets. We had charge blocks with us, but the lack of USB could be helpful info to other guests. There was an iron & ironing board, as well as a wall-mounted hair dryer. The tissue dispenser was empty (thankfully I had some). There was no spare roll of toilet paper provided--only the partial roll that was a little over half full. It was not replaced when they came in to clean, but thankfully since we were out running around a lot that partial roll lasted us! A small bottle of shampoo, lotion, and one small bar or soap was provided. Glad we brought our own. The hotel's ice machine was out of order. The place needs TLC!

Dirty the carpet was disgusting I think drunks go in at night by the door at the pool and sleep in the hall cus 1 man said he key wasn’t working an we used ours . I asked about the pool it was the most disgusting pool I ever seen it smelled like mildew. I even took pictures but can’t seem to retrieve them on here . Totally not worth what I paid .

This is an older property. The pool is very dilapidated and the fence around it is damaged. The rooms are nice.

I had roach dropping in my room and the ac didn’t work well

Where do I start? Check in was hard as the manager did not speak very good English. Got to the room and stool was full of S**t. No phone in room so had to go to desk. Manager could not understand what I was saying. Finally sent maintenance but could not unclog stool. Moved to another room at the far end of the building. It didn't get any better from their.

Was extremely dirty, had to pick up. Stains everywhere and feel disgusting sleeping in such a filthy place. Never expected anything so gross

The bed was dirty with hair in it. One of the dresser drawers had ramen noodles and seasoning sitting in it. The tv had food on it and the lock on the door didn't work.

This place was nasty and a very terrible experience my family had We booked one thing and they change it when we get there, they never cleaned the room. When we got there trash from the last person was there. Didn’t want to give us extra towels or even get new towels until we gave them our dirty towels. Very disappointed

Room was clean and comfortable. Walls are thin and so noisy in the morning. Room service knocked on our door at 8:30! Then continued to talk loudly in the corridor. Breakfast was minimal.

Got what we paid for, however it could use some upgrading. One bed worn out, like a hole in middle. Breakfast choices (the one morning we were there) cereal, muffin, banana. But overall, it satisfied our needs for the night.

This hotel is very clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The owner and his family are very nice and helpful. The ice machines are out of order, but they told us to come to the desk with bucket and they got us ice from the kitchen. So, no complaint even about that! The niceness and willingness to help is more important to me than the convenience of an ice machine. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The good: inexpensive, easy check-in / check-out, room has good amenities (couch, cupboards, microwave, refrigerator) The bad: not well cleaned/laundered (found a used tissue in the bedding), building has lingering odor of smoking, wifi is not secured, TV and several lights didn't work, breakfast was minimalist

Firstly, the first room we checked in smelled horrible. Almost like the clothes you accidentally left in the washer a few days after you washed them. It was apparent that maybe the carpet was the source of the smell because it was buckled. We got to the next room. The smell was better, but there still was a smell. Went to take a shower, the hot water was not working. Had to call the front desk & it was working after about 30 minutes. The curtain in the bathroom was wayyyyy too short so by the end of my shower, water was everywhere on the floor. The curtain didn’t even touch the tub. Also, we got a room with 2 queen beds. One of the beds had blood stains on the white sheets, so we had to move to the other bed. Of course we inspected & disinfected the other bed & it seemed fine. Won’t be returning!

Very clean and safe. The staff was very nice and friendly

Attendant was unfriendly and seemed genuinely bothered to assist us at all. The area was dark and dirty.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Had an issue after check in and they took care of it right away.

They charge for early check in, $10hr. No coffee in room or at breakfast. Staff is NEVER at the counter.

My room didn’t have face towels, had to use dry towel as face towel, because front desk just had return soon sign but no person after many attempts to retrieve. The rooms and lobby had a real stale, old odor and dirty carpet. I think I made a bad choice and should have went next door to LaQuinta…, :( needs a makeover, renovations and please pull that carpet and go with tile or wood floors would get rid of that smell. Had to throw my mask away the smell was trapped in it..

Breakfast was included . But only cupcakes available . Staff said more was not requested by days inn. All other days inn breakfast was very good . That is one of the reasons we did book this hotel. Lobby was dirty . Hallway to room was dirty . Room was dated but clean and ok . Bed was good .
