Best Western Rayne Inn

Owner laughed when calling ahead asking about an early check in. Turned the air conditioning off in our room when they came in to clean. We spent 14 hours outside in the heat playing softball tournaments to come back to a 80 degree room. Chlorine in the pool was way over the recommended amount.

There is only 2 hotels to pick from. This one seemed nicer so we picked it. Got to the hotel a little early and they said i had to wait to check in. Finally got to check in and the room had black mold growing in the bathroom, the shower leaks out of the bottom of the shower head. The pool was dirty my husband had to clean it so the kids could swim. Asked for coffee in the lobby and they took the coffee pot out instead of making some. There are no amenities here either. The beds hurt so bad my back is shot. Had some guys smokong weed right outside the door and they wouldn't do anything about it. The owners dont speak or understand english very well either.

Property is a bit run down and the elevators were broke. The stairwell was like a sauna. The rooms were ok but more like a motel 6 without the reduced price. Convenient to I-10.

Our room was clean however the door didn’t have a security latch on the door. Felt unsafe. The pool was dirty. The property needs an undate.

I booked a non-smoking room, but the first room we were given reeked of cigarette smoke the moment we opened the door. The second room was even more unacceptable: stained bed sheets, a used lollipop stick left on the nightstand, and a strong smell of mold throughout. The overall cleanliness and condition were far below basic standards. We felt so uncomfortable that we decided to leave the hotel entirely and find another place to stay. I would strongly caution others against booking here until serious improvements are made.

Sheets were stained. Property was in run down condition. It hard to believe Best Western Corporate allows franchise holders to represent them like this. Im not sure where the picture of the property was taken. It must have been years ago. I mean, its okay for the price. But Im a HOG member and always use BW when Im on the road. This one missed the mark.

An older property in a nonpriority location, with the expected low shower water pressure, poor Internet bandwidth and mold in the bathroom tile, but friendly, excellent service offsets the limitations.

They used a paper towel to stuff in the area where the phone connection was. The floors and rugs where so dirty if you went bare foot your feet where black.

The hotel was old. Behind the nightstand was splattered dirt(?) on the wall. The room had been sprayed down with deodorizing spray just before we walked in. But when it wore off , it was musty smelling. The one bed was lumpy and old. No microwave. Bathtub shower safety bar was bent, the tub needs non slip stickers.

I enjoyed my stay room was clean and comfortable.

Conveniently located and the staff was nice. The linens had stains but seemed freshly laundered. The toilet was functional but had a crack down the center of the porcelain. There were cracks in the walls and what looked like mold in the shower. They offer a continental breakfast with minimal & stale offers. Overall, a fairly safe place to use a bed for the night, with friendly staff, but definitely overpriced for the offers.

I didn't like that the Wifi did not work on the second floor due to lack of repeaters at the end of the hall. I did not like that when i flushed the toilet it make a loud 18 Wheeler sound thru the pipes.

Took for ever to check in and my room was so hot and stagnant the AC was off it was like walking into a home with no Electricity.

It was ok for just one night. The room smelled like a wet dog, the TV didn’t work. I had to undo the cable box and plug it back in. The bed was springy and lots of traffic noise on the road side. Check in was fast.

Sandwiched between freeway and a rest area for hundreds of idling semis. Why would you build here? Trucks also make noise coming and going and beeping while backing up. I also feel weird. Mold? Pet dander? ALso hard to find. Poor signage. Gross town. Barking dogs. My worst choice of new year so far. Stained towels. Gaps in door frame. Tv keeps defaulting to no reception setting. Avoid.

The property, staff, and breakfast were OK but what was not OK was the temperature control in the room. The AC unit was not client adjustable, but adjustable by management only from some remote location. The management's choice for appropriate temperature was not compatible with ours for proper sleeping. We had very poor sleep due to the excessive warm temperatures -- not what was expected after a very long day when checking into a facility at the rate charged. We will not make this mistake again, since we will not patronize this property again. Too many other facilities to choose from that recognize a clients needs.

I recently stayed at the Best Western hotel in Rayne, Louisiana, and it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the pervasive smell of cigarette smoke that seemed to permeate every corner of the hotel. Despite it being a non-smoking room, the odor was inescapable and very unpleasant. The air conditioning barely worked, making my room uncomfortably hot and difficult to relax in. It felt like the room was stuck in a perpetual state of muggy discomfort, which made sleeping nearly impossible. To make matters worse, the television remote was broken, rendering the TV useless unless I wanted to stand up every time I needed to change the channel. Some of the lights in the room were also broken, adding to the sense of neglect and lack of maintenance. Overall, my stay at the Best Western in Rayne was far below acceptable standards. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Nice and clean, friendly staff easy check in

Staff is great

Entire place smelt like cigarette smoke and air freshener. Front desk staff hardly spoke to us and was not helpful. Very noisy as it is by the interstate. Run down and not well maintained.

So greatful for the gentleman at the front for allowing us to check in early. We arrived in town for an event several hours before check in and he was very helpful. The room was a basic room but perfect. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and we slept great.

I have nothing bad to say, it was quiet and clean. The only thing I didn’t like, which had nothing to do with the hotel, was it only had fast food restaurants nearby. You had to go to another town to get to a restaurant!

I really enjoyed myself. Very clean. Breakfast was great too!

Had a good experience at this best western hotel. Stay friendly & breakfast included However I excepted it to be a nicer hotel because I paid extra to go there. No fault of management just think it’s in a lower class neighbor hood. Other that I had a great stay

Good hotel for the night. After reading other reviews, was kind of on the fence, but everything was fine or better. Good water pressure, ac worked fine, tv worked. They do have more truckers than personal vehicles staying, but didn't hear anything or even interstate noise. Breakfast had scrambled eggs and sausage, and a waffle iron hot and ready, and the coffee was great.
