The hotel is conveniently located near Butternut Ski Mountain. The breakfast had several options. I had to wipe down the bathroom because it was not cleaned well before we got there. They need more lighting in the parking lot. It’s very dark and was icy.

Quickly becoming one of our fav places to stay - my daughter and I love stopping overnight here - the clean rooms, friendly staff, and warm pool are what keep us coming back! Wish that there were lists of local places that deliver food, that would help as doordash wasn't delivering much when we stayed. Didn't try the breakfast but nice to know its there. We just enjoyed the pool so much (it could use a paintjob and reglazing maybe) please don't change that!

We love staying here in transit to and from Maine and New York every summer. Such a pleasure to know that there are great staff and a great pool! (thank you for always keeping it warm and clean) I'm sure the pool will need to be repainted/resurfaced soon (maybe wait until winter!), but it is always a joy after a long stressful drive. The only anxiety producer in town is that doordash is limited and EVERYTHING around shuts down SUPER early. Beware of that and order early, arrive early, or bring your own food. that is a bummer (and totally not the fault of the Holiday Inn!) Thanks for another great stopover.

They need to bite the bullet and just update the hotel because it's just, I didn't want to touch anything really, and I definitely wasn't going to touch the microwave. The couch needs to be tossed too. No cushion anymore, and filthy too.

The room was very clean, spacious, good water pressure in shower and sink and I. Particular their were no issues with water drainage in sink or shower which we can not say about the Marriott chain and most other hotels we’ve stayed at. As a family we’ve gotten into the habit of running shower and sinks before we settle on to our room and oftentimes we need to switch to a room that has no plumbing issues. The beds and linens at Holiday Inn Express were extremely comfortable. The amenities are bare-bones but our priorities are on cleanliness, comfort, safety, and exceptional hotel staff of which this Holiday Inn Express in Great Barrington delivered. Note: this particular hotel chain is very popular with families and during the breakfast “crush” the dining area can get quite crowded. Having said that, we were amazed by the dining staff who always has replenished coffee and we’re attending to the multiple requests of other guests.

The room was extremely clean, nice staff. Only complaint, a huge bunch of senior citizen bikers (peddle bikes) constantly slammed their doors. And talking very loudly. The couple next door had their tv so loud, I could even hear their show. Don't know why this bunch were so rude!

We have stayed at thisn property several years ago and it was very nice, clean and well kept. That’s why we returned. Unfortunately the property has gone in to decline. The exterior is overgrown w/ weeds and the concrete is broken. The exterior outside side door lock was broken leaving the building unsecured. The room was OK, but everything is so tired and uninviting. The tub wouldn’t drain propery so it made showering a problem. You just expect more from a.Holiday Inn Express bjt don’t see it here.

I liked the many options available for the continental breakfast, the 24 hour tea and coffee bar and the bright clean common areas. The only thing i did not like is the fact that the matresses were very uncomfortable and the pillows too soft.

My plans unavoidably changed twice. I had to reduce my original reservation by one day. Later, I had to request a second day be removed. The hotel’s management refused and maintained charging me for the additional day that I would not be at the hotel. It was a graduation weekend so the hotel was full and surely they booked the room that I’d already paid for after I checked out. Also, the HVAC in the room was making a lot of noise. So much that maintenance had to come change out the entire unit. Lastly, there was a stale smell in the hotel room. I would not recommend.

I had a smooth check in. A little later I went back to the front desk to get an extra key, was asked my room number and last name. The associate, knew that I had asked for extra pillows when I made the reservation. I don't think he was even on my reservation on the computer yet to see the note. Asked if I had the extra pillows in the room and were they ok! Often hotels don't even notice this request, never mind remember it or ask about it. Great attention to details!

Extremely clean and quiet hotel. Restaurants and shopping center nearby… great Barrington is right down the road for even more shopping and restaurants. This hotel was better than the Swan hotel in Lee we stayed at for the majority of our stay in the Berkshires… wish we stayed here instead!

Door to our room was so sticky you had to bang into it shoulder first. Toilet seat and shower bar were broken. Pool paint was peeling and we had to go to the front desk to request towels. Trash on the pool deck. Breakfast was “not cooked” per my husband. One toaster that appeared to be powered by a single candle. My husband took a shower and reported that “you could tell when others started showering because the water pressure went down to nothing “. So glad that we only stayed for one night!

The hotel was very nice. Our TV didn't work when we turned it on, but the manager came right up and after 15 minutes or so was able to get it functioning. The breakfast was very nice and all the staff friendly. We found it pricey, but probably right for the area.
