The other reviews I read were spot-on. Good hotel for the price - location is great. Food options nearby were good, and it was nice to be in a neighborhood rather than downtown OC. Very close to the beach - a very short block. The view of the bay from the fitness center is lovely. Very tastefully appointed. But one big minus - the common areas are way too small for a hotel with this number of rooms - resulting in elbow-jostling to get through even the small lobby, never mind the breakfast room. And the elevators were a nightmare - slow and always overcrowded. As reported in other reviews, we had stray hairs in our bathroom and the sink was slow-draining. I would nonetheless stay again, largely for the views and proximity to a lovely beach and a few good food options (tavern next door and Mediterranean across the street very good).

Stay was comfortable. We were concerned with the room being so close to the elevator but to our surprise, it wasn’t that loud. Indoor pool and hot tub were great! Being so close to the beach was a bonus

Perfect place for a weekend getaway. Room was spacious, breakfast was decent for being included in the stay. Really enjoyed having a indoor pool/spa/splash pad during the off season.

The Fenwick Inn is good hotel in a great location. The staff is very friendly and responsive to any requests. The pool and facilities are clean and fun. I really liked the fact they give two courtesy beach chairs. They also have a shuttle bus you can take to certain events and locations. We really had a good time.

It was very comfortable, recently renovated and clean! The staff were very nice and accommodating. Very large pool and hot tub and our 4 year old loved the splash pad! Would definitely stay again!

Pros: This is my go to place for my annual ocmd visits. Prime location for enjoying Delaware and Maryland. Walking distance to the beach. Love the free beach chair option and shuttle service. Cons: pool area was quite crowded all the time. Breakfast area is quite cramped. Possibly remove some of the seating options for more space. Was roomed at the back of the hotel next to the outdoor seating area was noisy at night when we were attempting to rest. But overall a great stay! Overall

The amenities alone are a big win!!! Don't lug your beach chairs, as the hotel allows two complimentary chairs at the beach stand!! Pool, hot tub, breakfast, workout room, arcade, wifi, the list goes on!! The rooms were clean and large!! Loved every min!!

Overall it was a good stay. There were several times we needed towels and none were available. Also our room floors were filthy. Like they haven't been scrubbed in a while. Other that that, the stay was pleasant.

The rooms are spacious, nicely updated, and a comfortable bed. Close to a beach. However, my bed linen was not clean and the cleanliness of the room was questionable. I ended up purchasing my own bed linen. I found sand everywhere: under the chair cushions, sofa cushions, and bathroom floor. The breakfast was sub par. More than likely would not revisit.

Rooms are updated. Bed was comfortable. The room had plenty of space however it could have been cleaned a little better. The only real issue was that the ac unit smelled of mildew but when we cleaned it with a Clorox wipe it was better. Overall, room is pet friendly and we were not expecting a perfect room. We will return.

Poor cleanliness—hair on the sheets, ants on the floor, stained towels, did not refill shampoo dispenser. Concerns expressed to front desk were ignored. Breakfast was poorly managed—grab and go products were not replenished, box of sandwiches were left on the floor for hours and forgotten about, broken pancake machine, tables were messy and attendant refused to wipe them down. During checkout front desk refused to acknowledge concerns insisting receipt would be emailed Location was perfect but would not stay here again

Our first room had old toothpaste stains and other stains crusted on the comforter and the bathroom smelled like someone threw up in. It smelled rancid. We ended up changing rooms after maintenence came up. Our second room was better. There were giant water stains on the wall. The shower doors were dirty and the lights did not work. So we were in the dark. It was quite upsetting that even after moving rooms after our complaints, no one checked in on us. A simple check in from the front desk would have made a big difference. I let them know when we checked out but the lady did not seem to care. I would not recommend this hotel to others. We try to give the benefit of the doubt. One room didnt work out, but two rooms. And just the simple fact of a courtesy call or check in to make sure things were okay would have gone a long way to us.

I wish they had an outdoor pool, the pool area is all indoors and the outside area is very small. Loud can hear people from Hallways and in your room there is a big gap under the door, other wise everything else was good. Close to the beach

Ac unit had mold all over the vents. Made the room smell of mold and mildew. Called down about to and they sent someone up. He took the vent and cleaned it off and then wiped down the unit. It only helped for a little while.

For the price, this hotel was fine, but I wouldn’t stay again. The floor was dirty despite multiple requests to have it cleaned, and housekeeping often left supplies behind. The rooms were comfortable but didn’t look newly renovated as advertised, there were cracks and stains. Any requests (like towels) required going down to the desk ourselves, which isn’t typical hotel service. I also paid for an upgrade through Expedia but was given the original room since the hotel claimed they never received it. Overall, just okay but disappointing.

The staff and service at the Fenwick Inn was perfect, the room was clean and well laid out with lots of USB and regular outlets. When we checked in, we noticed that our refrigerator wasn't working and that we would like a microwave oven (no additional charge, you just have to request it). I told the front desk staff and within minutes, a maintenance person and the front desk person delivered the microwave and looked at the fridge. They replaced it with another one that was already cold. The Fenwick Inn is pet friendly and the staff love dogs. My major complaint was the poor WiFi in the room, which was mostly unusable (0.1 Mbps upload & download during the evening). I put my laptop in the bathroom and let it sit for hours during the day, it eventually uploaded my pictures. I brought a Roku, but that barely connected and I couldn't use it due to low bandwidth. I reported that, but there wasn't anything they could do, but they should have WiFi access points in every room. The lobby had good WiFi (100Mbps down/38Mbps up). The cable TV was missing channels, but I didn't report that until after we checked out.

Room was clean. Recent remodel updates to the room. The junior suite was very large. Definitely worth the extra for anyone with a family. Bed was comfortable, nice topper. A little noisey on Saturday night..still going till about 4:00am...can hear the doors slamming down the hall. All in all a very nice hotel for the area. Coffee and creamer in the room. Some of the doors around pool area are dated, rusty. Could use some updating to the facilites and parking area, could use lightingvin the parking area, water standing in the walkway to get in at the back of the hotel.

The room was nice. They charge $100 for early check in but aren’t prepared when it’s 4pm and there’s a huge line and wait for check ins. I would think you would check in a few people a few minutes early just so you can manage the line. It’s high season so I would expect them To be better prepared.

The hotel is very nice, the rooftop bar is great, rooms modern. However they have a hard check-in that everyone has to check in at 4:00. We waited 40 minutes to check in and there were still vacationers in line. At 3:00 we were told for an extra $100 early check in was available. Stupid policy needs change

The rooftop restaurant was great! The room was huge. The free chairs at the beach were nice. The breakfast was okay not much to it but it’s great just to grab something small. You need more than one person at the front desk. Lines were too long! Overall, a nice place and I would stay again!

The property was great check in and out was great I asked multiple laundry staff for extra towels every day and never did receive any,they just didn't care, but when check out day came they hovered from 845a - until we left the room all that time doing nothing but waiting for use to leave. I booked 2 rooms it was the same for both.

Property was ok. The air conditioning broke one afternoon and the we came back to a roaster of a room late in the evening. There was only one staff person on scene and he could not get maintenance as it was Sunday night. He quickly moved us to a new room and we were good to go. So that staff person was helpful and cooperative.

We really enjoyed our stay. They had free parking, walking distance to the beach and they provide complimentary chairs at the beach. The free breakfast was great, so many options and they continually refilled the items so no one missed out. We were able to walk to the shops and activities from the hotel. The area around the hotel was very nice and we took walks around the area.

I love the renovation of the hotel. The price is very reasonable and the shuttle service to the beach and back was clutch. The driver was mad cool! The rooftop restaurant has excellent food and service. My only pet peeve was the shower curtain in the bathroom smelled very sour and badly.

I liked that the hotel was two blocks from the beach. The hotel gave us wristbands to pick up two beach chairs at the beach. The only thing I didn't like was the breakfast, as there was no eggs as an option and it was barely supplied with what they did offer which was muffins, mini cereal, and bagels with cream cheese. Please improve your breakfast and have enough for everyone!

Everything was great, except for The pancake machine was not working wish they replaced it or had something in place of it like a waffle maker or something. They were completely out off hard boiled eggs. They Need to add more rugs from the pool doors to the elevators, due to puddles of water just sitting on the floor causing a slipping hazard. Absolutely loved the 2 beach chairs we got as a complementary and the shuttle that takes you to and from the beach was wonderful(they take you and all your beach stuff starting at 10:30ish-5pm) the shuttle runs every 30 mins back and forth.

All was good, except coffee. Only one non-decaf k cup provided. Coffee maker made weak cold coffee. Terrible! No decent coffee available at hotel. Only single serve in breakfast area for 25+ people. Not efficient
