Holiday Inn Express Biddeford by IHG

Clean, spacious rooms. Was a little disappointed the indoor pool was not heated. The kids couldn’t tolerate it for more than 10 minutes. We were able to check in early which was appreciated. Especially for the price point, we were extremely satisfied with this hotel.

Good stay and good breakfast. A lot of renovations going on though. Fitness center could use an upgrade!

The staff was so super helpful. I needed some requests (emergency printing at midnight, because there is no business center) that were not typical, and they were so responsive without delay. I love staying at Holiday Inn Express, and have for years. My favorite part is actually the pancake maker :) (I told my husband over and over that I wished one, but now he's an Ex. I guess some wishes do come true.) HIE is definitely a great place to stay!

Breakfast needed some healthy options. Staff seemed busy, but also not sure what they were busy doing. Tv lacked good kid friendly shows. Fitness center small. Housekeeping never came even though it was requested twice. On a positive note- the bed was comfy.

I enjoy the hotel and how convenient it is. I like the pool but this time the water was cold. I enjoyed the breakfast it was delicious and had a variety of food choices.

THE PARKING WAS TIGHT. OUR ROOM WAS NEXT TO POOL. BASEBALL TEAM WAS THERE AND THROWING BASEBALLS AGAINST THE WALL TO OUR ROOM. We had the front desk go and have the kids stop throwing the balls against the wall. The room smelled and the smell came from a bottle of cleaning the maid left in the room. The AC was off and had to have the front desk turn on the AC as it was off in the middle of the summer. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Pool is too cold and needs to be heated but other than that perfectly fine place to stay

The room was ok. Location was good. The pool was closed for part of our stay which is the whole reason I chose this place. Breakfast was fair. I likely would not stay here again.

The only issue was the pool was very cool and unable to take a swim. It something I enjoy doing during my stay.

I have stayed at this Holiday Inn Express multiple times and it has always been clean and has everything I need.

Stayed here for an overnight stay and unfortunately had so many issues with the following: 1. There’s no one on the reception to received or help the guests 2. The carpets especially in the lift are soiled up. 3. Chairs have stains 4. Water has some smell on it 5. Bed sheets including the pillow covers appeared not to be fresh as they have smell. I think this hotel needs to take sanitation and cleanliness seriously.

The fridge had old food in it, room was not vacuumed, wallpaper was falling off, door handle was loose, and bathroom was falling apart. Not worth what we paid.

There was mold in our restroom on the ceiling. When asked to switch rooms, there were none available. When asked for a discount, partial refund, compensation; it was declined. I will be reporting our findings to the health department.

This is an older hotel. When we stayed, they were remodeling a lot of the hotel so there was very limited rooms available. We got a room with 2 double beds which was fine. It was clean. The bathroom needed repairs. The sink had no drain stop (we could look right down the hole), and the shower had mold in all the tile grout. The door of the bathroom was visibly water damaged from the shower. The bathroom was very tiny. The elevator had blankets lining the walls (I assume for the construction crews so they would not mark up the walls). The hotel was very quiet which we liked. Breakfast was very good with lots of options. Overall I would say this hotel is a 3/5. It was clean and quiet, good breakfast, easy parking.

It was late when I arrived to the hotel but nobody was at the front desk for at least 10 minutes. Guests in the lobby told me that he went to bed! I called 3 hours prior to let them know I was arriving at 11pm and there was no answer. Didn’t even go to a voicemail. I got to the room and it smelled but I let it slide because it was so late. We weren’t going to be there very long and the bed was clean. I Had to leave at 8:30am the next day. I could see some mold in the bathroom on the ceiling. My daughter and I woke up all congested with a headache. The room had tons of mold in it! I couldn’t see it in the dark but could in the morning in the light. It was gross! I took photos and showed the employee at the front desk who wasn’t there again for 5 minutes! He said a manager would call me when they came in. Nobody ever called me! I emailed the hotel. Still no response! I would never stay there again! It was convenient to where I had to be and the room itself was mostly clean but nobody should stay in a room full of mold! I paid $274 on Expedia for the room and they wanted $395 on their website. Ridiculous! Still waiting for my phone call and/or email from the manager.

We stayed Friday-Sunday, we got a handicap room which was fine. However the hair dryer did not work, our tv was glitchy, and there was no microwave or fridge in the room. When we walked in the room smelt very strongly of perfume

The room had very thin walls the people next too us were very loud till 1:00am and Bobby seemed to care they were disturbing other quests and the breakfast looked good until you tried it the eggs were cold and the bacon was hard as a rock the only good part of the stay was I was able to make coffee that tasted good and that was only after I found someone to fill the empty coffee dispenser the room was clean is the only plus to this stay

Would have been great just wasn't happy to check into a 54 degree room at 9pm on a cold night which then took hours to heat up. Also door was unlocked and cracked open which made me feel uneasy.

Waited at the counter for almost 10 minutes before the reception person to show up. TV program is provided by directv. It was horrible. Pixelated in and out. Couldn't watch any channels because they kept freezing. The room however was very nice.

On main floor, windows didn’t have locks. I had to put hangers in rails to keep shut. My door handle was broken and it was difficult to get into room. No phone lines. Went to desk about broken items and was told it was onsite about REMODELING. NOT ON THIS SITE…. It’s on the H inn site

The room key wouldn’t work every time even after going to have them reprogram it each time.

Never anyone at the front desk. I am diabetic and use insulin-no refrigerator in the room. Remote control only worked occasionally. They put me in a handicapped room which was awkward with zero counter space in the bathroom. Very dated.

Everything was fine. The only concern was the fan in the heater was very very loud

Guy at the front desk was incredibly rude

Staff was pleasant, room was perfect, great location, good selections for breakfast, pool clean and kept my son busy for hours.

I was not happy when I arrived and they said our room was on the second floor. I had asked specifically on the Expedia app for first floor , due to some mobility issues. The gentleman at the counter quickly found a room on the first floor. He was pleasant and very apologetic. The price was a little higher than I wanted. Hard to pay that much when you don’t use the pool, or eat the breakfast.

Benson at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Even offered my 2 yr old a treat when he saw he was wondering away during the check in process.

There is NEVER anyone at the front desk. Actually there is a sign at the check in counter that states they have stepped away from the desk and will return shortly. That sign stays up 24/7. So when you need to check in or need assistance be prepared to wait

Staff extremely friendly and helpful

We checked in at 6PM and our room had not been cleaned yet and because we were there for 3 nights didn’t have another room available to give us. The wait was going to be 45 minutes so we checked in and then left and came back later.

Great staff were there in a flash at check in! Thanks for the great service and comfy clean room!

This was a comfortable hotel that gave us easy access to University of New England for a college tour. It seemed overpriced for the type of hotel room, but it is summer in Maine. Room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast was good -- but crowded at the time we went.

Great location

I stay here often. Great location and superb staff. Rooms are comfortable. Some construction going on with makeover, but noise was minimal. Still can't figure out the TV channels but I can live with that. I'll be back again.

Front desk staff was rude and not friendly upon check in and throughout stay. Breakfast was disgusting with cold eggs and rubbery bacon.

Friendly service, very clean and decent value for this chain hotel - especially in a location near the ocean during summer season. As usual the free breakfast is nothing great (good coffee though) - kind of a bummer they only serve breakfast until 9:30am on Saturdays and Sundays. Fortunately there were a number of very good breakfast spots nearby.

Nice quiet room. Easy check in. Breakfast was served about 6:45 but was warm. Good coffee. Would stay their again.

We were unaware the hotel was under construction. The entire breakfast area was blocked off, leaving a limited breakfast offering next to the front desk. The signage was taken down near the guest rooms, with just handwritten numbers taped to the room doors. Overall the hotel was quiet, with no construction happening overnight. The parking lot was easy to get in and out of.
