Clarion Pointe South Portland

The walls had a lot of damage there is no maintenance up keep the only thing that seemed clean was the bed sheets and comforter but the floors desks and drawers were all covered in some for of dust or stains. The lights in the bathroom did not work. There was a very weird odor through out the hotel especially the room. The window had no screen and opened completely and we were on the third floor obviously a major safety hazard. And to top it off we booked that hotel because it had a pool but when we arrived the pool was “out of maintenance” and there was no mention of that and we booked a week prior. Front desk never answers the phone. Over all the place had a very terrible vibe to it. And if you are looking for some place kid friendly don’t bring kids there it’s at a bad part of town I guess so a lot of homelesss and tweakers were in the parking lot and even in the hotel. Very sketchy.

The bed was very comfortable

First Impression was not good. I entered the lobby and approach the front desk, but there were no employee's present. I called out and waited for 15 mins and I had go searching the property for an employee. !st room I got, I was hit with overwhelming tobacco odor. Changed for room next door. Furniture was new and updated the room was not cleaned and items used coffee maker shampoo towels, bath, tissue, etc. 3am I was woke by a very loud domestic violence in another rm, I could hear the furniture breaking and screaming. I called desk 3 times before someone answered. Desk sent cops to my room instead of finding the other rm wake me again. Overall employee do not have any training in CS not but rude, but lack personable, no smiles, they don't seem to care about anything and it shows throughout the property. Lack of of cleanliness although under construction it could be much better. The hotel is going through renovations but it has a long way to. The breakfast was non existent coffee left over from prior day "not kidding". For the price I paid I didn't complain but I would not return, I'd forgo the budget savings and go elsewhere. I hope things improve in the future to void this review!
