It was a nice place but the hole reason I booked it was for the hot tub but it has been down for a few weeks. And the onsite restaurants and bar closed at 8 pm to wasn't able to get food or drinks like advertised. But other than that it was nice and quiet. Breakfast wasn't wasn't good only had granola bar or a muffin they had cereal but no milk so I wouldn't plan on the Continental breakfast.

The pool was GREAT for my family. We really enjoyed the heated indoor/outdoor element, the size, and the multiple depths of the pool! The pool made up for all the other disappointments related to the stay though. Very rundown, not an actual restaurant there, just a lounge/bar with not very good food, room was very outdated and no working phone, no fridge, no microwave, super old beds, etc. Staff was very friendly but overall would not recommend for any purpose other than the pool.

Pulled in to begin our stay while 6 police officers drug some sobbing lady out of there. The property was probably awesome, along time ago. They havent updated much! The room didnt have a fridge, micro or coffee maker and was not nice! The swimming pool/spa area was in shambles and the stuff floating in pool, gross! The hotel gave us stained pool towels after they were able to track some down. The Bay Valley Resort needs so serious updating, now!

Found 2 bugs in the bed. Carpets are very dirty. TV didn't work. I asked them to fix it the 2nd day, and they never did. They had only 1 luggage cart in the lobby, and it had flat tires. I will never stay here again. I would advise anyone else to stay away from here.

The building and grounds are gorgeous. The carpets and mattresses seem to be incredibly old. They are beyond filthy. The mattress and box springs are beyond yellowing. There are no mattress protectors either. Our socks were black from the carpet. Everything had a smell and had to be washed again. I think it's in the materials from when smoking was allowed indoors to be honest. It ruined the whole experience. It seems like it's closing. The pro shop staff was great. Office staff too. Pool is great! But it was so gross we couldn't sleep. I hope someone fixes it up because it could be stunning. The pro shop and deck are literally falling apart. Many things seem to require repair.

I won’t stay here again. Other than the old furniture the bed didn’t have a cover sheet and the blanket was tattered. One of the two white bath towels had a dark brown stain and the other one was old and very rough texture.

Carpets were filthy. No refrigerator or coffemaker in room. Had to drive to find a cup of coffee. Hastily made up bedding with sheets untucked. Pool area not accessible due to several flights of stairs. Would not recommend.

What a beautiful place! Our room was nice and quiet. We quite enjoyed the pool and hot tub even though there were unsupervised kids running amok. The sound of live music was so nice even though we didn’t get to stop to enjoy. We didn’t use the shower because that was the only thing that didn’t look clean. There was hair in the bottom. Other than that I’d completely recommend this place. We would visit again!

Room wasn’t the cleanest, hair in the shower, in the bed, garbage under the beds, items left behind from previous guests. Pool/spa is nice. Front desk person was “be back in 15 minutes” every time we went to the lobby. Doesn’t seem like there is a lot of staff nowadays.

Did not get the room that was booked, and the bathroom do not look like anyone cleaned it at all other people's not head hairs all over the shower, sink had brown(may have been pop) in it...10 out of 10 would not recommend....paid cash for my room and they still tried running my card 3 different times to pay for the room....😔 I wish it was as nice as it looked

The rooms were a little dated, but the room was clean and comfortable. They’re in the middle of a major renovation, which bodes well. While I didn’t dine in the restaurant, the food smelled amazing, and the staff was terrific. I’ll definitely stay again in the future.

The room had the bare basics, 1 tv and 2 lamps. No fridge, no microwave, no clock etc. The room had a distinct odor from past smokers. But it was fairly clean, and quiet. Hopefully the renovations bring all rooms up to current expectations. The staff is great!

We had a lot of fun in the pool. The pool is in fair condition, but the indoor outdoor aspect of it was fantastic. My kids had a blast as far as the rooms we didn’t receive very good directions to the room and when we went to find the rooms all the hallways were dark with no lighting and we wandered armed for about 10 minutes before we found where our room was at. There’s not any amenities in the room no microwave no refrigerator. We knew about that beforehand, but it’s still would be nice to have that stuff as far as the room the room was average. It was generally clean and the bed were comfortable. The shower was good hot water, and good pressure

This place was awesome! The only thing i didn't expect was not being able to watch anything on tv and we didnt have a fridge or microwave.That was the only bummer. Other than that it was nice!

This is an established golf/event resort that has fallen upon a rough time and has recently gone under an ownership change. Our room was recently repainted/refreshed and was comfortable save for one thing - no microwave! Yes, they have a nice restaurant on site, but, really? We stayed two nights, and it really does come in handy... A few things about the building/property. Parking lot needs some work. Door #2 needs to be replaced ASAP. My wife was a little put off by the corner of the door. Otherwise nice overall. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Brunch begins at 11... Brand new offering, but smells at 930 were wonderful!

The 2 queen size stand size rooms are not queen sized they are actually full sized beds, even the bed comforters say full sized. If i could show a pitcure i would. The hotel is dirty, the ice bucket lid is dirty, the one bed had no bed skirt, no fitted sheets on either bed. Probley because it would say a full size bed like the comforter does. I pool was dirty, the one glass door leading out on the patio only one side opened but had to be manually pushed opened. No vending machines, no coffe marker in the lobby or in the room. So no coffe for any coffee lovers. You only get two towels and have to wait for more towels to be done if they have them available, so if u have more then 2 people with u not count on everyone being able to shower. Towels are really small. No balcony in the queen size rooms. False advertisement, all the way aroung. Dont ho here.

Clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food from bar resturant was goid and enjoyed a band while eating the first night the 2nd night they had a bigger named band from the area and used the ballroom. That was a lot of fun also. But a huge shout out to all the staff at the front desk and bar restaurant. You all was awesome!!

I checked in the staff was very rude I didn't seem to want to be there. I had asked to have a room near the door because my mother is handicapped and the gentleman did not want to do that he did anyways but he huffed at me when I said it then when he gave me my card he sied. The room only had one outlet for us to use to charge our devices there was no refrigerator or microwave I had to use an ice bucket to keep my medicine cold. After one use our cards wouldn't open the door when I asked them to be redone the gentleman made rude comments to us I would never recommend this place to anybody.

Employees went out of their way to make sure my needs were taken care of. New ownership company and the entire resort is under a major remodel and renovation, so things were a little of sorts. I am extremely excited to see the changes over the next year or so. Room was clean, bed and pillows were very comfortable along with phenomenal water pressure in the shower. Staff that cares about customers and money to invest into the property, is Bay Valley making a Rocky Balboa like return?? Only time will tell.

I really liked that the property was quiet, but the website pictures didn't quite match the room. It appeared there were some renovations that were going on 9r had been done on a couple of the floors, our floor just wasn't one of them. Hpwever, the room was spacious and affordable and the staff was amazing!!!!

It was clear there was no training or policies in place as simple things were missed. Staff continued their text conversation while attempting to check me in. While being checked in, I was given the key packet and told “here.” No information on breakfast, check out times, wifi, or room location. When asked about breakfast neither the front desk employee nor another employee that happened to come up to the desk knew the answer. The room had a ball of long dark hair in the shower and this was discovered along with the fact that no bath towels were provided (I had to use a hand towel and wash cloth to dry off). Finally, even though it was noted I paid with Expedia, they still double charged my credit card for the night’s stay. The morning front desk attendant was a bright spot, with a great demeanor and quickly reversed the charge. Any one of these things by itself could be a mistake, but in concert with one another, they point to a lack of policies/procedures and training.

This may have been a Hotels.com problem, but when I arrived I was told there were no rooms. The clerk was not super compassionate, but at least put me in what was maybe a room under repair. The door would not shut properly and there was no mini refrigerator, which I was really planning on. Room was comfortable enough. But my experience this time was a 2- or 3- Star at best.

Very large property with tons of potentials needs a lot of updating and tax- staff at check in was great - we used the hot tub and pool area was clean - while there were no pool towels available in the room the front desk offered us two extra towels to use - the area is really nice - close to town but far enough away enough to feel you have some peace and quiet . The breakfast was not complimentary so we ate after we left the property in the morning - checkout staff Phyllis is a wonderful addition to your staff she’s very sweet and spent time letting us know more about the property and new ownership it would be under - we can’t wait to come back and see the renovations

This hotel had wonderful potential. It is out dated and a little run down. The first room we got, the housekeeper took the sheets off the bed and that is as far as they got. Not cleaned, vacuumed, or beds made. We were then moved and the other room was clean and neat. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and was going to even make the bed for us but there was more that the housekeeper left undone so we were moved. The breakfast was nothing more that some breads, yogurt, coffee, tea, and all sweet sugar cereals. For a quick stop while on the road it wasnt bad and the kids did enjoy the pool. I would like to come back and stay to try out the golf course but the hotel needs a little more to make it worth that trip.

Great expectations that fell short. The attraction of a pool, hot tub, restaurant and bar, and included breakfast were the attraction. However, the breakfast arrangements were very poor. Unworkable microwave and toaster. Inadequate supplies of food and very low quality products. Breakfast was a shocking experience; very poor standard. Food in restaurant was excellent. Staff great. Pool and hot tub; welcome facilities but changing rooms very worn condition. Lighting in many areas poor.

We had to pay $2 for coffee. Most rooms that you pay over $100 a night will atleast have a small coffee pot, Microwave, and/or a mini fridg. This hotel had none of those things in our room but had coffee in the lobby and then was asked for $2 per cup. We felt that is was a very cheap thing to do by management/ownership.

We just needed to get away ..... the restaurant/bar is only open on the weekend so it wasn't open there was NO breakfast and i know that was included in the price of the room...... no coffee maker, microwave, or fridge in the room and no vending machines anywhere so we really had to fend to find food..... other than that it was a pleasant stay

The building exterior needs to be updated. The front desk person when we checked in seemed disinterested in helping us. The front desk person at checkout was much better. The breakfast was really poor with few choices and no fresh fruit.

Bay Valley Golf Resort is a beautiful facility currently in a state of decline. The rooms are spacious and clean. Everything works. However there is a general shabbiness about the lobby and public spaces - torn and stained carpeting, worn and dated wallpaper and furnishings. We ate a few meals in the Players Lounge and they were good. But when I ordered an Old Fashioned from the bar, the server apologetically explained that their resources were limited, basically cold bottled beer, some wine choices and some spirits straight or over ice. It is too bad because the facilities were clearly grand at one time, but no more. The staff were all friendly and accommodating - but more staff are needed for a facility this size.

This is a beautiful resort but is understaffed. Our first room didn’t have a workable phone and tv and no internet. We then were transferred to a newer section where the room was beautiful. But no housekeeper service so the dirty towels piled up. The continental breakfast was cereal, instant oatmeal and small pastries. My first pastry had mold on the inside. The next day they were ok. There was a band on Friday night that was great! This is again a beautiful place but sorely unstaffed.
