Very nice customer service. They have a voupke outdoor seating areas with gazebos and bbq grills. A small swing set for the kiddos. Comfy beds! Pillows could use some upgrading. Also could use some paint in the rooms. Really quiet and cozy.

I liked the suite having 2 doors. One from parking to load in and another leads to the pool. I disliked that the property actively offers an outdoor pool on their signs from the street which was green and not open.

Asked for a” Queen “size bed. BUT I swear it was a “Full/Standered” size bed. We made do. The bathtub faucet and shower head was loose from the wall. Other than that, everything in the room was clean. The room itself was very roomy. To get to the lobby for breakfast, there is NO ENTRANCE from inside the hallway of the hotel, you HAVE TO GO OUTSIDE and walk around to the front entrance to get to the dining lobby.

The employee stopped checking me in when the phone rang even though we were almost finished with check in. The room smelled like a dog. Breakfast was included in the stay but they fail to mention you have to leave the building you’re staying in to go to another building to get breakfast. Numerous light didn’t work in the room. No way to quietly open or shut doors so you literally hear every door open and close. Definitely won’t be back.

Was charged $100 (without notice, I found out by scrolling through my bank statement) for a broken ironing board. Problem is, I didn't use the ironing board. Property refused to resolve the issue and refund me. Front desk staff was extremely ill-rehearsed in hotel policies, and refused to use any idea of general customer service or professionalism. Property is expensive considering the surrounding area, and the fact that half of it is an outdoor motel. Additionally, the pool was out of service and the property did not notify us prior to the stay, nor compensate for the inconvenience. Property's exterior doors were not locked through the night, anyone could get into the hotel hallways.

Terrible parking lot with not great lighting. The place is not well kept. The first room we were placed in had bugs along with a bent out screen with a non functioning window lock. The place seemed like it was “picked up” but not clean. Clearly they had someone break into the room (squatters??). The second room was better but as soon as we turned the heat on the place stunk of mold and mildew. We just kind of sucked it up and dealt with it since we weren’t going to be physically at the hotel very much during our stay. It’s kind of a noisy hotel with not much sound deadening, I had trouble sleeping and I’m not usually bothered. My advise stay elsewhere if your budget can handle it….. We sure wish we would’ve been elsewhere.

The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The Continental Breakfast was amazing! Eggs, potatoes, sausage AND pancakes?!? Cereal, coffee and juices, we expected but not this! The next time we need to stay in Big Rapids, we'll be back!

We arrived late and the room had a terrible smell. We turned on the ac hoping that would help. After unpacking we got ready for bed and discovered that the carpet was drenched. The next morning we told the front desk clerk that the floor was soaked and were told that all the rooms were like that because of the air conditioning. We had a second stay scheduled on our return trip and tried to cancel it but the hotel wouldn't cancel our second stay. They lied and blamed hotels.com for not allowing the cancelation. Hotels.com spent three days trying to convince the property to cancel our next reservation, but they refused.

We stayed this past Saturday in a room with a jet tub. After 20 mins of the jets not working i called room service. After some back and forth, someone came to look at the tub and when he took the cover off you could smell it burning. The motor was melting stuff because it was so hot. He told us wait 10 mins, if it works great if not he would move us to a different room. After 10 mins we are told there are no other rooms with a jet tub and theyll give us a discount because we got a "regular room" instead of a jet tub room. The lousy $26 discount (off $146) was charged to us instead of taken off, and then they refunded $52 ( the original refund plus the "accidental" charge) and charged us 52 the same day. So still made it nowehere. Stay elsewhere. Do yourself a favor.

I liked the price, location and staff. The food was good too. The doors are a little wore out and they slam shut. Can here when someone closes their door down the hall, and no matter how hard you try not making noise, it slammed shut. I would recommend this place to others. Not everyone goes out at 3am like me

The price was great for just needing a place to crash for one night. The hotel is a little run down and in need of some repairs. The seal on the bottom of the door to my room was missing so there was a 1/4" gap open to the outside.

For a jacuzzi suite condition was not nice. Paint on bathroom floor, car scent hanger was on ceiling in bathroom, room was cold from time of arrival until almost 3 am. Window leaks air when closed. Could be a nice room if those things repaired.

The cleanliness was good. The worker that helped me check in brushed of my request of adding a night to my stay. He stated I needed to go to the front desk at 11 the next day to add an extra day. I talked to a different worker and she was great and actually helped me out instead of being lazy and dismissive. I was woken up to the worker banging on my door accusing me of not paying for another night. I tried to explain to the worker that I had already worked it out with his coworker. He kept insisting that I was wrong and I needed to book another night. Eventually he found out he was wrong. Will definitely not be staying at this big rapids quality inn location again.

I needed to cancel my stay few days prior to my arrival, every time I called they said the manager is not there to refund my money. They also said the manager would call me back, they never did. They kept giving me excuses the the manager is out of town. Two weeks later I’m still working on receiving my refund. Apparently there is no management, and the customer service is terrible. If they cannot handle a simple cancellation, I cannot imagine the hotel is maintained properly.

Clerk tried to double charge me upon arrival for a stay that had been paid for in advance. Although I had the printed receipt with me he continued to try to argue and charge me. I had to call my boss who had booked the business trip, and he had to call his manager to straighten everything out. When I fonally got checked in to the room it had not been thoroughly cleaned. A previous visitor's dirty sock was left under the edge of the bed, and there was a kleenex stuffed in the peephole of the door. The bathroom smelled like mildew, and the "free continental breakfast" that was included was just mini boxed cereal, cold scrambled eggs, and stale bagels. Overall I would not recommend staying here to anyone, and I certainly won't be staying here ever again.

I arrived late, aftera 5 hour drive. I lugged my stuff up to my room, which was a dirty room that never got cleaned from the previous guest. The bed was stripped, and all blankets and sheets were on the couch (kinda gross). There was garbage and towels, etc. When I contacted the front desk, I was asked to come back down and get new keys. He was a nice guy, and it wasn\'t his fault. My new room was freezing. It was an upgraded suite, but there was mold in the bathroom, the mirrors had finger prints, and I coupd see the wipe pattern of the rag on the furniture, from their "cleaning". I was exhausted and crashed out. The following day, I left early for an event nearby. I returned at about 9pm to my room the same as when I left. The bed wasnt made, and no towels were replaced. I called the front asking for towels, and was asked to come to the front desk to get them. When I arrived, she didnt have towels, and I had to wait for her to go and get some from a closet. Overall, the staff was friendly, but this hotel seems to be having an issue with their housekeeping crew and operations

The hotel was on the outskirts of town making it a quiet place to stay. The continental breakfast was satisfactory. Very nice staff greeted me when I checked in and out. Would highly recommend this hotel. Will stay here again when Im i town.

The hotel was clean, the breakfast was very good. This hotel perfect location if you are visiting a student staying in a dorm on the south side of the campus. The big complaint we had is one of the outside door’s latch was taped open. Anyone get in the hotel and walk around the hallways. Not a very safe feeling!!

I wish I could say something nice about this hotel. This property really has to step it up. The bathroom was not cleaned properly. We had to purchase cleaning products and clean it ourselves before using it. There were hairs left in the tub. One good thing was that we didn't find evidence of bedbugs. If I wouldn't have gotten penalized we would have left there and found another place to stay. But we were only there for one night so we decided to make the best of it. If you do stay here, skip the free breakfast. It was terrible. I personally would never stay here again. If you are thinking about it, I would seriously consider other options.
