Lobby area of hotel was nice enough, restaurant was ok. Staff was friendly. Once on the hotel room floor, the carpet was stained and disgusting and in obviously need of replacing. There was an unpleasant odor whenever we opened the door and entered the room despite the bedding being clean. Floor in the pool area was dangerously slippery, bars on the steps into pool and hot tub were loose. Hot tub had dirt and hair floating in the bubbles and needed cleaning. I would not go back here.

I loved how close we were to everything . Would have been nice if our AC worked better, the hot tub looked like someone dumped bubbles in it and the restaurant was good but service took forever!!!!!!! Also their system went down twice while there so we had to pay with cash.

Convenient location to downtown. Both elevators not working so had to go through a dirty employee hall way and use the freight elevators. Causing the staff a lot of inconvenience as well. But this will be fixed soon. The bathroom was so small!! The desk arraignment was also painful as the chair had to be stored against the wall. Maybe if i got a king bed that would have given more room to the shower and desk area. Bedding comfortable Breakfast was the best part!

We enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Grand Rapids Downtown by IHG. Our room was comfortable and clean, with a great view overlooking the city. It was a nice walk across the Blue (pedestrian) Bridge to an event at DeVos Place. And breakfast the next morning was delicious!

My son and I stayed for three days/two nights. It is conveniently located as the museums and downtown area are within walking distance. The hotel staff were helpful and pleasant. The hotel restaurant served delicious meals and the waitstaff was friendly. I highly recommend staying here. My only complaint is that the freeway is right next to the hotel and was a bit noisy at night.

My check in with the front desk staff was amazing. The hot tub was filthy and full of scuzzy foam. We were shouted at in the hot tub because we had cups of water with us. The room was clean, but the vanity and sink are outside of the bathroom, making it difficult for people to have privacy while getting ready. I usually look forward to the continental breakfast at a Holiday Inn, but there wasn’t one due to there being a restaurant. It wasn’t bad, but it certainly wasn’t great.

I would have given 5 stars because literally everything was fantastic EXCEPT the room was VERY loud. We were right on the highway and i swear it was like a window was open. Also alot of loud banging from the hallways too. Overall thought great staff, easy check in and out, clean room it even smelled good, cozy bed and a convenient snack area for late night snacking.

I stayed here with a family member for one night passing through Grand Rapids and it was overall pretty nice aside from the noise. The staff were kind upon check in and the room was very clean. The selection of different kinds of firm or soft pillows made the stay more comfortable. The only thing that made the stay uncomfortable was the location and how loud the highway was throughout the night. We were on the 7th floor facing the oncoming traffic so maybe it made a difference but it was a little rough. The TV doesn’t allow for screen mirroring but it has cable and movies to purchase for about $22. Very nice hotel but I would not stay again considering just how close you are to the freeway.

Worst room layout we have EVER had! Nothing made sense, bright lights, sink was completely removed from toilet, unnecessary “counter” near bed and a lounge chair that was inaccessible. If you want to wash your hands after using the bathroom you have to turn on bright lights disturbing anyone sleeping! Ridiculous!

The staff was SO nice, from check-in to everytime we walked through the door. Always someone at the desk area with welcoming smile and hello. Received a text from the Kandice asking how check in went, and the next day to see how our stay was going. Very nice touch, thank you Kandice. There is a Burger Theory on property. Nice to not have to find somewhere to eat after a long day on the road, and the Bartenders are so friendly. We had 2 dogs with us, (only a $25/dog charge - very reasonable) and they got little welcome bags, and a cute Bark Bar in the lobby. Our reason for GR was President Ford Presidential Library, it is right across the street. We stay at IHG properties often, *because pet friendly) this is the BEST one so far.

Very pleasant stay for a conference at DeVos across the river and just across the street from the Ford presidential museum. Clearly had a recent refresh so everthing was modern and in good condition. Staff was very friendly as well. I recommend the $10 breakfast pre-purchase which is both a bargain in itself but is very nicely prepared from menu selections (not just a buffet).

The front desk staff was wonderful, however, the restaurant staff was quite possibly the worst I have ever encountered. The bartender/server was absolutely rude--not only to us, but to all customers. Several people left complaining. It took 30 minutes to even be greeted at our table and 53 minutes to get waters. We wont be back.

I enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn, It is located in the downtown area, with in walking distance to the river and museums .You have the option of paying $5 for breakfast at check in, It is worth it. They have a restaurant, so everything is made to order .Their selection is very good, I had french toast, bacon ( 4 slices ) and a drink for $5. And the food was really good.

Great location clean rooms the staff were friendly. Downfalls were our window leaked and during the day we felt safe but around 130am there was large groups in the parking lot partying and seemed to be dealing drugs. The police were called by hotel staff but we did feel like we should go out and check our vehicle. Staff also told us that the city shuts the blue bridge down at night so people congregate in other areas.
