gym door was locked had get front desk to open door! front desk line was busy so i cancelled work out.

Hot tub had dirty scum on the tiles. It should be scoured daily. They have sprays for that.

The pool and hot area was very nice. Breakfast was always kept full. Quiet location.

Loved that they had an EV plug ins available. Thank you

The pool area was not very clean. There was a dark blob of something/ possibly hair, floating in the main pool . It was so obvious my two year old granddaughter pointed it out. The hot tub needs a good scrub. Yellow/ green algae is growing on the walks, steps, really everywhere. The whole pool deck needs to be washed down

Pros: - Large hot tub - Long pool hours (7am- midnight, no kids after 10pm) - Clean - Large hotel room with couch/sitting area - Next to a Walmart Cons - Side and rear entrances do not have a sidewalk, had to walk through snow/ice with my luggage - Did not keep pool towels stocked, had to walk through the lobby to front desk freezing cold and wet. No apology from staff. - Kids were in the pool being loud and splashing til midnight, no quiet relaxation time for adults

Parking was easy; room access was easy as well.

Pool and hot tub being open until midnight for adults was really nice. Pool was a nice temp. Room was in pretty good shape. You can tell it’s an older and popular hotel as room seemed a little dated and well used. But, we also went on a very very busy weekend. Beds were comfortable. People at front desk were very nice. Good variety at free breakfast. Overall a good stay. Fair price.

The hotel was very clean. It looked recently upgraded. The thing that struck me first was how white the bathroom was with fresh grout, and new shower head. The pool was clean, and the hot breakfast was hot and good with many choices. Would love to stay again.

It was good the only thing I would complain about is the stain on the top sheet and the curtains.

Overall it served its purpose, however there were ants in the room all over the night stand between the two beds. I reported it to the front desk clerk who acted surprised, but no one came to inspect. We were checking our belongings before we left and that was a swift exit once my son (we were in town for college visit) was ready to go!

We had an extremely comfortable stay, beginning with the polite young woman at the front desk. Comfortable bed, everything very clean, good breakfast the next morning. I left my purse there accidentally and didn't realize it until 2-1/2 hours later. It was turned in and was waiting for me when I hurried back. Kudos to a very honest staff!! We would definitely stay here again! [Just one little note: if you want quiet so you can go to bed early, request that you not be put in room 109, which is just on the other side of the wall from the pool which stays open until midnight/10 pm for kids]

Everything about the hotel was perfect except the cleanliness. You could tell they didn’t change the bedding. There were stains and crumps from the headboard to the foot of the bed. The floors in our room were super dirty and dark. Greasy finger marks on everything. The bathtub was probably the cleanest thing in that room. Besides that everything else was good.

Very clean room and hotel, with comfortable beds and friendly staff. Area outside is well maintained and has ample parking, and it's in a safe location. Decent breakfast with a variety of options. The indoor pool and hot tub were also very clean and a nice way to unwind. A Walmart is right next door.

This hotel was clean on the surface but I had to do some physical therapy exercises that meant I had to be down on the floor. The carpets were very dusty under beds and around furniture.

The room was just ok. The bed was very comfortable. The carpet was very dirty. Hated to walk on it without shoes. The bathtub did not drain very well. I removed hair and a small hair tie on my own, which should have been done prior to opening the room to someone. It still did not drain properly. The bathtub itself also could have been scrubbed better. It had a dirt ring. I did like the size of the room for four of us (two adults, two kids). The refrigerator and microwave were clean and worked well. We had a seven and a nine year old with us, so they did not care that the pool water was extremely cool. However, my husband and I could not stay in it long enough to enjoy it. The pool room itself was warm but the water was so cold. Also, the window in our room (301) was so dirty. All of the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was adequate. For being included, I should not complain, but the hot items were not very hot. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the hotel was very conveniently located for us.

Check in was easy and fast got to put room and check beds and linen they in good shape, but left to go the lantern festival found ants in the bathroom so we spray but throughout the night keep seeing them. The hot tub can use s cleaning water looked sorry pool was good....

Spacious room, good breakfast, and convenient location.

Hotel was within a 10 minute drive to Grand Rapids. Check in was very smooth and gentleman provided excellent service! 3 of us stayed in Queen Room w/sofa bed, all beds were comfortable. Plenty of plugs for chargers and counter space. Super convenient with Walmart next door. Room was on first floor by after hour entrance door, yet super quiet. Price was alot lower than Grand Rapids downtown area but still so close. Highly Recommend

Free breakfast was good, but hours were not posted and we were not told hours were different between the two mornings we were there, so we missed it by 15 minutes the second morning.

Really did not like the loud heating/cooling fan and the walls must be too thin as we heard what sounded like a tv nearby for a long time in the middle of the night!

Room was dated but clean. Air conditioner worked well .

The property was clean and well taken care of. The bed was very hard and the pillows were small and soft.

Noisy! It was way louder than a normal hotel experience.

Only complaint were the pillows no substance. Flat made sleeping uncomfortable

Mini fridge was Loud. Hard to keep room temperature controlled. Room was out of hair conditioner. Otherwise everything was fine. Yes, I would return.

I liked everything about my stay except: randomly there was a loud rumbling/vibration toward the front (west) side of the building. It proved to be quite distracting while trying to relax in bed or have a conversation.

For the price and service I thought this was an excellent hotel. We had a hair dryer fault out in the room and it was replaced promptly, much to my wife’s approval. Breakfast was free and coffee was very good.

Very clean and in nice area. Walmart directly behind if you forgot anything. Receptionist was extremely nice and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Had a little difficulty with checking in; it was late, the family was tired and it took far too long to get the keys. Rooms were clean and beds were great! Overall impressed with the options for the breakfast!

They triple charged us, couldn’t fix it, and housekeeping never came. I even set my trash outside the door. I literally had to dispute with my bank to get the extra charges off my account. I don’t know who is out here rating them 5 stars but it’s not me.

This morning (12-13-25) housekeeping attempted to walk into my room without knocking and I was completely naked. It was 9:58am (before checkout- which is 11a). Luckily I had the extra lock on so it stopped her. I won't ever stay here again. That was scary and very invasive

The afternoon clerk at our check in was fabulous. We were a family hoping to have 3 rooms near each other. She got that for us. She also was super friendly and kind.

I was very upset with staff. I checked in on a Friday evening and had everything paid for and got the room key no problem. Next morning at 8am we had someone from the front desk banging at our door and tried using his key to barge in on us. Luckily we had the lock on the door from stopping him to come in. When we answered the door the gentleman was very rude and only wanted to talk to my husband as if he was the one who made the reservation, when I in fact did and everything was under my name. Stated that no one was registered under this room and we needed to come down to the front desk immediately to provide ID. Once I got down to the front desk the receptionist stated that no one checked in to that room and it wasn’t paid for. I clearly stated that if I didn’t check in I wouldn’t have gotten a key card and I in fact had a bank statement that shows I paid in full for the stay. He argued with me and tried to make me pay again for the stay. When I showed him the confirmation number and my bank statement he “apologized” for waking us up. The very next morning again at 8am we had housekeeping do the same exact thing, didn’t knock at the door just used their key card to get in and was trying to barge their way through the door. We again had the lock on the door so it stopped them. We figured they would get the hint that we were still in their and we didn’t need any cleaning, but they did it again at 8:30am and then again and again. Check out wasn’t until 11am

They let me check in early, which was awesome. Staff was very helpful when we misplaced a key and the tv stopped working.

Perfect place to stay for the night while our son was at his college orientation. Easy 15 minute drive to GVSU.

Loved staying at this hotel! Room was clean and well appointed. Nice pool and hot tub! Breakfast room has the usual fare-waffles, cereal, yogurt… Situated next to Walmart and across the street from Panera. You are within 10 mins to even more restaurants, the highway, and Costco. We would not hesitate to stay at this Comfort Suites again!

Nice and easy location. Cheap rates. Just stayed the night to get a good night sleep on the way home. Didnt go swimming but was told it was VERY cold so didnt even try. Walmart is right in the back yard.

There’s a Walmart behind the building. We walked over for snacks in the evening It’s right off the highway and close to a gas station and restaurants

Our room was clean and comfortable, the pool was nice and the breakfast decent. For the price and proximity to our destination (the zoo), this was a great stay.

The property is next to a Walmart and in a quiet area with lots of trees. Very nice for our GVSU stop.

This location was perfect. It was conveniently located near shopping shopping areas and not far from my son’s school.

This was a perfect place for our family to stay while in town visiting family. Comfortable, clean, quiet and we loved the pool. Our only complaints were that the coffee was pretty weak and many of the amenities are single-use plastic such as shampoo, soap, cups. We hope the Comfort Inn chain can consider using more sustainable packaging for their items.

We loved almost everything about this hotel and will likely make this our new place to stay when visiting our family. The breakfast was awesome. Everytime we saw an employee they were always working hard.
