Horrible! Several suspicious looking characters loitering around outside. Non smoking room reeked of smoke. Cigarette butts and beer caps all over the walkway. Mattress was filthy. No ice in the ice machine. Had to walk around a "lady" who looked like she was under the influence of probably more than alcohol and sitting in a near comatose state on the steps the next morning. Lesson learned..... heed to advice of the reviews before booking.

Was a cheap stay. Room was somewhat clean. The bathroom was rhe worst part. Toliet was not secured. We had the room next to the check in office. Was very loud.

Comfortable temperature, no bath towel just two hand towels and two wash cloths, room was next to breeze way and trash can was next to my door so I was kept awake till 1:00am with people dropping in trash and talking. A lot of horn honking in the parking lot till midnight. Very little soap available. My first time at any Red Roof Inn, probably my last. Tv worked well, the shower worked well and fridge. Freezer was frozen over so I could not put my freezer packs in to re-freeze. Microwave was good. A can of soda had been left inside the freezer and was ready to explode from expansion, I threw it out. Check in was pleasant and courteous.

The nightly rate was very reasonable. And using the idea that you get what you pay for, is very applicable here. The Pillows were old and yellow showed through the pillow cases. The coffee machine provided in the room did not have all the parts necessary to actually brew the coffee (missing tray). When asked if the front desk had any plastic flatware for takeout, the man said let me check, and less than 2 seconds later replied that they are "fresh out". He did not seem to care. Man walking around the rooms in the morning yelled "Hey" to get my attention as I was leaving. He asked if he could use my room key to take a shower and nap for the remaining time until my checkout.....not a great indicator of the safety of the area. No smoking signs posted everywhere on the premises but people were allowed to smoke right outside the lobby doors, making the lobby smell horribly of smoke. The room smelled much the same. When the heater in the room was turned on, it had a musty/mold smell and was so unbearable that I turned it off and accepted the colder temperature. I would only suggest this hotel to someone who is purely cost conscious and not someone who wants to enjoy their stay.

Full of roaches. Doesn't enforce no smoking policy, doesn't offer compensation for illness due to allowing smokers in adjacent rooms. Gen'l manager doesn't return calls. No seals around any adjacent room doors nor entrance doors between room and parking lot.

We stayed in room 204 and 208 and they were DISGUSTING. Super dirty, damaged door frame, smoked in heavily even though its a "Non smoking" hotel. The sheets and pillows were soaked with cigarette smoke. There was kids crayons on the walls. The floors were sticky, and filthy. The door did not seal all the way. The mattresses are well used. Better sleeping on the floor. The lights did not work. This place needs a major renovation in order to live up to the reviews that drove us here. Stay elsewhere.

Don’t waste your money, hotel is gross and dirty. Bedding was all stained, found pieces of glass and hair in bed, rooms smell like cigarette smoke, shower is dirty and towels have blood stains on them.

Unclean room, broken porcelin in sink and shower. Old vomit on the floor and two molding by the toilet in the bathroom. Dogs barking in the middle of the night and conversations outside my room late at night. The faint smell of smoke in the room and heavy marijuana smell in the morning. Oh, and only one towel available. Disgusting all around. I would never stay in a Red Roof in again.

I was looking forward to my stay here after seeing so many 5 star reviews, but I was sorely disappointed. First off, we killed 3 roaches in the bathroom. Despite it being a smoke free room, it reaked of cigarette smoke. Lots of cosmetic damage, most notably the toilet paper holder broken off the wall and hook for clothes in the bathroom pulled off the door. The mattresses had plastic on them, so whenever you shifted in bed it sounded like you were rolling around on a pile of grocery bags, and the pillows were hard and flat. There were 3 of us in the room, but they only gave us 2 towels, and when we asked for another they weren't friendly about it. There were shampoo and shower gel dispensers in the shower but they were empty, no small ones anywhere either, we ended up having to go buy our own shampoo and soap at Walmart. Not a great experience whatsoever.

The first room smells like smoke. They sent us to another room that wasn't cleaned & the bed wasn't made. The third room was in an area that was noisy. The metal lock that was like a bar was broken. To many things wrong for the price we had to pay!

It was OK. About what I expected for the money, which I like saving. It was just me so I can make it work for me. The big exception was the mattress. Absolutely the worst most worn out thing I've ever slept on. I told the front desk and they said upgrades are coming. I did say that don't remake the bed--take it straight to the landfill!!

DO NOT STAY at this property. Room was freezing cold at 59 degrees. Front desk refuses to help ultimately had to rush to Meijer at 11 in the night to buy an area heater. Rooms STINK BADLY of smoke and had weird smell. Property very unsafe, no safety bolt inside the room. NEVER EVER STAY AT THIS PROPERTY.

The security latch on the door was inoperable. It was there but just barely hanging off the door jamb. It appeared to have been previously broken by force. Security is the most important thing to me especially when traveling alone. Sure, the rates are great, but not worth sacrificing one’s safety.

I booked three rooms. 1 person had to wait over a half hour for room and manager had to let her in due to card machine not working. One room had issues with lights, my room had small stain on bed sheet and blanket. The smell in the room was terrible and the whole place needed a thorough cleaning, plus a fresh paint, new carpets. There were people in the lobby that had been waiting for 1-2 hours for a room. I felt bad for the lady/manager that was working as she was under staffed but she was working very hard to help everyone out.

Fantastic as always, I like the relaxed atmosphere, and the room is always clean enough for me. I always tip the housekeepers, because I can tell how hard they work and I’ve stayed there a few times and have seen that they have dealt with a lot of crazy stuff. They are always very accommodating to my dog, and I often strike up a pleasant conversation with the front desk staff. Lastly, this time in particular, I woke up late and they did not seem to have a problem with my late check out whatsoever. That’s what keeps customers coming back in my opinion .

Awful absolutely awful the lady in the office Mia who gave us the name Tam when we asked for her name was rude and cussing out customers. We were locked out of our room. The room itself was dirty there were wads of toilet paper covering the smoke detectors. Blankets had huge visible yellow stains on both beds 10/10 would never recommend!!!

I came in late after some stock car races. Drove up an hour after races to make the drive home a little shorter. Tried to check in and was told my reservation had been cancelled because after 8:00 pm all Expedia reservations are cancelled. Had to drive another 21/2 hours to find a room

It did not appear to be a family friendly place. I was afraid my car was going to get broken into while we were there. We got into the room and then heard pounding on the door next to ours saying sheriff department. We got our stuff and got out. There were cops all outside. We turned in our keys and left. This is not recommended for anyone that has kids or a single female.

I chose the Red Roof because it was the closest to another hotel where we were going to an event, which hotel was sold out. The bargain price should have warned me. The sign at the driveway, "Low weekly rates" was another caution. And several dilapidated cars. The room itself was immaculate and we dropped off our bags and changed for the event. We got back about 10 PM and there were a number of men standing around in the parking lot smoking and talking loudly. This continued until about 2AM. The smoke filtered into our room. A car alarm went off but I didn't want to risk going out and possibly confronting someone. After a few hours of restless sleep we checked out at 6 AM. The management did refund our payment for the second night, which I appreciate.

For a hotel on the cheaper end it wasn’t too bad. It was close to shopping areas and dining and easy to get to from the highway. Staff was friendly and professional and pleasant. Room needed some work though. Table was worn down and stained in areas and bath tub was stained and dirty looking and the toilet paper roll holder didn’t even fit in the holder so it flew off when you tried to use it. Bed was comfy and looked clean and the free Wi-Fi had great signal. I would stay again for sure.
