The whole building was way too strong smelling of chemicals. The chlorine in the pool was so high it was burning my eyes the moment I stepped foot on the first floor of the building. And the towels were not always stocked in the pool room. I had a sore throat and sore eyes and headaches after my stay due to the high levels of chemicals in the building most likely the chlorine

One of the largest hotel rooms we’ve ever had! Plenty of space everywhere! Clean. Ironically the bathroom was small for such a large room. Great stay. Only downside was elevator was broken and we were on the second floor. Stayed 3 nights. I’m sure all the exercise was good for me but stairs are hard on my knees.

The size of the room was excellent; with outlets and charging ports easily accessible. The kitchen area was sufficient and well stocked. I did notice that common areas, particularly stairwells, needed cleaning, and the fitness room needs updating and better machines.

The room was literally falling apart the windowsill was crumbled up in pieces the tile right by the entrance wiggled when you moved on it the beds were not clean and the pool and the hot tub were disgusting there was no filter in the hot tub the staff was okay but just not ideal definitely was expecting a better experience

Comfy bed, and our king size bed room was huuuuuge!!! It has a mini fridge and microwave AND kitchen cupboard space. Our room had not one, but two desks! The big downfall is that the room does not have blackout curtains or privacy curtains (We were on the 4th floor, but still...) so the flood light shone in our room. For breakfast, the choices were fantastic! The eggs and the waffle were delicious! I wish I had a chance to enjoy the pool and hot tub. Maybe next time!

overall, the property was in good shape. Looked like some new paint work had been done. Breakfast was hot and was as good as a hotel CB can get. The only downside was the amount of noise we could hear from the upstairs room when they walked around. Thankfully it was not during quiet hours.

Elevator was next to our room, elevator was very squeaky and loud. Room was smelly of what my wife thought was cigarettes. On headboard my wife wiped off a white substance near her pillows. Microwave dirty. Very dated and paint in room peeling from patches. Pulling in we thought we had the wrong place. Looked to be an abandoned building. No cars in lot. Realized we were at the right place after entering. Only there for one night, no intentions of using bath as we were just there for concert. Bedding was clean so instead of arguing for money back we decided to hell with it knowing not to book there again for future trips.

We stayed here for the first time to attend a local concert. While the hotel was well-equipped to handle our needs for one night it is a somewhat tired property in need of a renovation/update. The rooms are super spacious, which is a nice surprise these days, but the beds were much less comfortable than hoped for. The bathroom is not as spacious as the room and the door is heavy and closes automatically with no way to leave it open. It was a nice amenity to have a kitchenette in the room but with no cookware/glassware/dishes it seems a waste of space. The one area that caught our eye was the pool, we didn't use it but it looked very inviting and well maintained. We missed breakfast but it looked like a great offering overall. It's a great location, near the university, but it's an older property in need of some TLC and an update.

I had a terrible experience at this hotel. Having the room next to the loudest elevator on Earth was only part of the problem. Some guests on our floor were very loud until after 4:00am. Partying, fighting, slamming doors, screaming. I called the front desk at 2:30am requesting assistance. Nothing was done. I called again at 4:00am begging for assistance. They finally quieted down after 4:15am. Needless to say I will not stay here again. The staff did nothing to ensure I had. A good experience at their establishment.

This mid-budget hotel delivered what we needed. A quiet place to sleep at night and get fueled up and ready for the day for our 4 day stay on the area. Any issues & requests were handled immediately. Housekeeping serviced the room daily, which many fancier hotels no longer do.

NO one at counter for check in took 20 minutes an several times ringing a dysfunctional bell before a guy showed up to wait on us very unfriendly think we woke him up from somewhere , cob webs in the room, all hotels we’ve stayed at breakfast is served from 5:30-10al this place is 7-8am , you can hear the traffic in 131 not a sound proof place

Staff was all a family & appeared friendly at first. As I was leaving after check in I was approached by a homeless man literally at the front door asking for a cigarette. Upon returning, numerous persons were openly doing drugs literally in front of the hotel, not even 20 ft from the main door.. I left after the 1 night of my 2 night booking and upon checkout, the lady said she understood my saftey concerns & they would email me confirmation email of a refund for the room. After a day and no email received i reached out to customer support, the hotel even refused to answer questions & hung up on the CS agent.. Just avoid & save yourself the trouble.. Didn't appear to be a bad area with a Costco & Traders Joes across the street but I was just wrong.

This BW hotel is a great place to stay when visiting Kalamazoo. It is conveniently located right off US131, and is just a 5 min drive to downtown. It has ample parking in a bright and safe location, and the rooms are spacious and clean. The management is friendly and incredibly helpful, huge thank you to them for holding off house keeping on a room we checked out of and letting us back in to retrieve an item we left behind!! The pool and hot tub were a surprise bonus as was the free breakfast provided each morning. If you are looking for the a modern update style you will want to head to the Radisson, but for far less than half that price this BW was a great place to stay.

Our vehicle was broken into in the middle of the night on the property and we were parked underneath one of the parking lot lights. When we reported it the next morning, the gentleman at the front desk did not apologize, he didn’t offer a vacuum to clean the glass up so that we could at least get somewhere to clean it better. We asked for a manager to call us and we have yet to hear from anyone and it happened Saturday night/Sunday morning. The rest of the property was fine, will not stay here again though!

This place has really gone downhill in the last six months. Many of the tv channels had "weak antenna signal" error message, the room & common areas weren't all the way clean, & the back parking lot was completely full of people just sitting around their cars and yelling all night long. I guess this is the new Baymont West.

stayed new years eve, got back to hotel in the wee hours of the morning on new years day, but the breakfast hours did not extend out for it being a holiday that people traditionally need to sleep in a little more, so when we were ready for breakfast at 9:30, it was closed already, just because it fell on a weekday, it still should have had extended hours due to the holiday
