Quality Inn Saint Ignace I-75

The staff was nice, but the property is in dire need of repair. Water damage is visible everywhere and the motel needs an overhaul. The pool was not usable. The area around the motel is in bad shape, trash everywhere.

The room looked nice, but was not well cleaned. The bathroom (especially the tub) was not cleaned well. The carpet in our room was quite dirty. The room had a strange smell that was not exactly gross, but not pleasant either. Smelled like a mixture of cheap chemicals, and old linens. The smell appeared to be coming from the air conditioner. Half of the equipment in the fitness center was either broken or completely worn out. The carpet in the lobby and stairs was not vacuumed well at all. The only nice highlight was the pool and hot tub, both of which were very nice. Breakfast was ok.

Rooms were in decent condition, plenty of parking spots

Room was nice and clean. I always use the fitness center and treadmill didn’t work. Staff said maintenance would see to it but I don’t think that happened.

Our room was in great condition and clean. The breakfast was a typical continental breakfast…ok. The room was extremely small and hard to get around with so many people. We did not use the pool, but our friends did and it was super cloudy, which looked gross, but could have been from an over abundance of chemicals? Either way, cleanliness is always my top concern and this place was just that, so I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was wonderful and had a decent breakfast. Friendly staff but upon checking in the pool was closed and all day after traveling my kiddos were pretty bummed!

Old establishment. Walls are very thin, so the noisy neighbors were very apparent. The breakfast food that was prepared was COLD EGGS AND COLD SAUSAGE and I ate 30 minutes after opening. Other food was limited. IE Milk yogurt. The only hot food was the waffles you made yourself. The POOL was closed and looked like it had been for some time.

Front desk staff was great. Cute store with Upper Peninsula gear near the front desk. Room and bathroom were clean. Bathroom is showing its age, and the pool was not in service while we were there. Easy access to I-75/bridge and easy drive to grocery store, but not within walking proximity to downtown.

The property is run down. There is no elevator for second floor. The staff was friendly though.

The gym was next to a room and we were told we would have to be quiet. The equipment was all really old and broke. The pool was super cloudy and the hot tub didn’t work. The room was a dog room but it smelled so badly like dog. We had our dog but we aren’t used to rooms that smell like that.

This Quality Inn restored our faith in the hotel chain! From the friendly front desk clerk to the welcoming fall-decorated lobby, we had an excellent stay here. They had a cute little popcorn cart in the lobby and the desk clerk had just made fresh, complimentary popcorn! Great location, ample parking and a quick drive to some really great restaurants. Our room was super clean and comfy. The beds were VERY comfortable. The bathroom was super clean and well stocked with towels, soap and shampoo. The continental breakfast was great - good selection and kept stocked by 2 lovely ladies. Such an excellent stay. We would absolutely recommend this hotel for all. 😊👍

This was an all around bad experience from the very beginning. The property itself was very dirty and outdated. The moment we opened the door to the hallway in which our room was connected we immediately encountered a very undesirable odor. Our room was heavily sprayed with some sort of odor control chemical smell I had to use my inhaler immediately. The carper was extremely wet. The popcorn ceiling was brown with thick dust, everything was dusty. We wanted to leave but the room was already prepaid. I was going to take a loss but do to the Holiday everywhere around was already booked. The staff was rude at check in, we stood at the desk for at least 10 minutes while she conversed with the maintenance person in the hallway. The pool area was so overchlorinated your eyes physically burned upon entering, the pool service had loose pebbles, and the staff was rude to my husband about the timer in the hot tub before he even got in. I had to launder everything as soon as I got home that was in our room even clothes I didn't wear on the trip because they smelled of wet dog and mildew. The bed was literally sagging on the sides, and the bedding felt damp. If zero was an option I would give it. Probably the worst hotel stay we have ever had in our 30 years of traveling.

This place is dirty

Hard to find a parking spot after 8pm. The hotel was dated and that wouldn't have been a problem, but the rooms were dirty. Carpet smelled musty, and what I think was urine (since it's a pet friendly hotel). Ceilings even had dirt spots. Even if they could replace the carpet and put a new coat of paint on the walls and ceilings, it would improve it tremendously.

All staff was very friendly and courteous. Our room was clean and had no issue's with it. I would definitely stay there againg on our next trip up.

Property is very old and not well maintained. The pictures do not match the actual rooms. Wallpaper coming off in the room as well as in the building in stairwells, walls banged up, tarnishing or corrosion on items in the bathroom. Our bathroom had cobwebs up by the ceiling. Room smelled musty and bed mattress sagged. I paid extra for a jacuzzi tub, it was a standard size tub and jets were dirty. I will not stay at this property again.

Came in late, lighting was minimal in the parking lot. Hallways showed not very clean, faucet in the tub leaked and could not be shut off. The ceiling in the room showed water damage. The breakfast room floor was not very clean.

Not a ton of dining options nearby, trying to get a cross the street to them by foot was difficult traffic drives fast and there’s no crosswalk. Had to be switched rooms because the toilet didn’t work, then there was issues with the locks and keys multiple times. The pool appeared unsanitary so I didn’t let my kids swim in it. The room smelt like paint or some other chemical. The floor was dirty, we left as soon as possible, overall it was fine for a bed and place to stop for a short amount of time. The area outside of the hotel wasn’t the cleanest. Staff was friendly and welcoming.

I would consider this a budget hotel. There is a pool and workout facility that is well maintained but the hotel and the rooms seem a little outdated and in need of some updates. The shower head is great if you're under 5'6" tall, otherwise your chest gets very clean. The rooms are clean but the furniture is a little worn. The fabric chairs look like people have been sitting on them in their wet bathing suits as there are stains on the seat. Bottom line, its OK but I would find another place to stay if we come back this way.

Smallest bathroom I've ever seen. Only half a shower door. Sink was about 2 feet off the ground. I had to sit on the toilet to use the sink. Only a few of the lights worked. The room wasn't too bad. It seemed clean enough.

Room was comfortable but needed attention. Light bulbs were out, usb outlets not working, bedside lamp was inoperable. Power went out for over an hour and staff never checked on guests. When I went to the lobby they asked why I had left my room as if I shouldn’t be concerned about the situation

Bed was decently comfortable. I stayed in the business king room, and it was a bit strange that the large tv was in the bedroom area while the smaller was in the living room. We had 2 dogs with us for which they charged $25 per pet/night. The room was on the second floor...would definitely been more convenient on the first. The room did have a fridge but no freezer section in it. Overall the room and bed was good. Short ride to the ferry if you are going to Macinaw Island.

It felt old and dated. 2 floors, no elevator. 225 per night. Outrageous.

Older rooms with very small bathrooms. Shower head was about shoulder height of an average adult, which was annoying

For what I paid it was fine. Property is a bit dated. Room was okay however the bathroom needs work. Toilet was loose and the hot water was inconsistent. Towels were thin and need replacing. Bed was reasonably comfortable. There was a water hammer noise in the mornin that woke me up. Had an issue at check in saying card authorization was declined but room was prepaid and the issue was with Expedia.

Very nice clean Hotel - a bit dated but the rooms are nice the staff was friendly and the food was good. Great location to get to the Island.

The lady working the front desk was so helpful, friendly and accommodating. Coffee was always available and cookies and popcorn in the evenings was so nice.

Wow where to start ..hotel hasn’t been updated since the 1970’s. Arrived at the hotel and had to wait 15 minutes for the front desk clerk to even show up. Had rented 2 rooms and then other couple in the party with the same last name had already showed up . Clerk hadn’t even checked to see that the 2 first names were different and gave them the wrong room. Breakfast room was dirty and cramped. Do yourself a favor and find another hotel when staying in St Ignace.

When booking, I had made note that it was our anniversary trip to the UP. When we entered our room, it had rose petals throughout the room, fresh bouquet of flowers, sparkling juice and glasses, pair of chocolate moose heads, and towels made to look like they were kissing on our bed. Totally surprised and greatly appreciated the care and time it had to take Stephanie to do. The room itself was fantastic as was the morning breakfast. Would recommend staying here to anyone that asks, and our dog was able to stay with us too.

Our check in was great with a surprise upgrade and that was the nicest thing I can say. Unbeknownst to us, the pool was out of commission, which should have been made known to us prior to arrival. The second night of our stay there was no parking and the clerk had no options for us. Sorry but that’s not acceptable. There should be parking for all guests. The cable went out one night and the next day after returning to our room we asked about it and they said only some rooms were back up and running and if ours wasn’t they would have to come reset it. The last two days in a row our keys wouldn’t work so we had to repeatedly go to the front desk to get them reprogrammed. You know how long we are staying. Our keys should work the entire time. We stayed 5 days and our room was NOT cleaned at all. The only time someone came to our room was when we requested additional towels and garbage to be collected. There was a sign in the room that said for longer stays housekeeping would come every 3rd day which didn’t happen. The last day there was a leak coming from under our bathroom sink that we reported to the front desk. Oh and there was an ironing board, but no iron so good thing I brought my steamer. There was no dresser in our room, just a TV stand with 2 small drawers so there is nowhere to unpack. Clearly we wouldn’t recommend staying here. Not a QUALITY INN.

Excellent location for the Labor Day Bridge walk. Within 15 mins you can be at the start. It is also very close to the Bridge View Park and about 10 mins from Sheplers Ferry in St Ignace. Usual breakfast, high in carbs, like bagels, muffins, bread, cereal, waffles, but they also had scrambled eggs, boiled eggs and sausage patties, plus yogurt and oatmeal with fruit. They have popcorn and cookies in the evening. Staff was very friendly.

Perfect location for seeing the sights with easy on/off the highway, lots of dining options nearby.

Friendly staff and. Beds and pillows that are both comfortable. There were no problems with the WiFi. Everything was nice. Quick service for breakfast. This is a hotel I would suggest.

The breakfast was very small, and ran out both days we stayed. When my daughter asked for more batter they neve rput more in (this was 45 min after breakfast started). Came back from a long day of walking. Kids really wanted to swim. Pool was closed, and hot tub. The women said it was due to a hot water heater being changed and then a gas smell but said all should be fine in the morning. In the morning it was still closed and this other desk girl said the filter was being changed. Staff passed the buck or just flat out didnt care. Not rude though. Pretty sure the one bed in my room wasnt changed due to lipstick on the pillow case

I didn't like there wasn't an elevator in the hotel. The breakfast was pretty sparse, but it was a weekday.

The only negative experience was some of the complimentary breakfast items were already gone by 9am, like the biscuits for the gravy, and the cream cheese for the assortment of bagels

It is pretty decent hotel. I hope they can improve the food selection they serve in the breakfast. The cereal holder needs to be replaced.

The staff were incredible. The rooms were small, but comfortable. The only complaint I have was the dining area was incredibly crowded where the food was and difficult to even get to the microwave because a table was in the way. Also the floor in the dining area, where the food was had not been cleaned for a few days. It was very sticky And I noticed it for two days in a row. However, I did tell the staff about it on the second day and they took care of it.

Overall, a nice place to stay. The Breakfast setup is wierd. Coffee, tea, and oatmeal are in the hallway and the rest of Breakfast is in a too small room.

They made popcorn and had snacks out in the later afternoon into the evening. Their breakfast was good but the room was small and hard to get around when there was lots of people in it. I would take out one table in the middle to give more room since they had a conference room to eat in as well!

It was close to the highway, and the parking was good. The morning breakfast was very good
