I’m definitely reaching out to the corporate office. The whole reason for the stay was to utilize the pool & the breakfast. The pool was filthy, it had a film floating on the surface. The filter must not have been working. The A/C in the pool area was broken, it was like sitting inside an oven. We propped the doors open & the front desk staff came & shut them saying they were working on fixing the air. I was there two days & it never got fixed. The breakfast is no longer buffet style. There is ONE person working to take orders & fix & serve the food. It is NOT a kid friendly menu. I prepaid for breakfast for both days & lost money on the second day as I opted to take the kids to IHOP instead of eating something they didn’t want. I really like Courtyard but I’m beyond disappointed in my stay & they won’t be my first choice in the future.

Won’t book again. Under renovation, cleaning not up to par, no complementary services. Limited towels, no hair blow dryer, you have to walk out of the hotel to the pool because half of the building is shut down.

We visted the bar lounge to watch the tigers game. Literally no options at bar. No mixer options. Not even 7up or any variety of it. Asked for simple shot chilled. Same cup used to serve to different requests making the drink Terrible. Asked to just pay bill because of miss made drinks and told no need, just leave. If u advise a bar restaurant then have a bar restaurant! It was the reason we selected this location. I did not even mind the remodel which was in progress but dang. Have something on hand

I understand this property is scheduled for a giant renovation - so I think that’s important to keep in mind. But as it stands today, this is a terrible reflection of the Courtyard Marriott standards. Some of the worst lighting in the room I’ve ever seen, and AWFUL mold growth on the bathroom ceiling.

Sheets wasn’t changed from previous visitors .. socks in the corner panties stuffed behind pillow key card under pillow which shows the linen was NOT CHANGED!! Had crazy ants everywhere front desk said they couldn’t put us anywhere else and no refund

In the room, there was a gray couch. It looked like it was ejaculation stains on it and the couch was dirty. So disgusting! The screen was broken off of the sliding door in the room. I checked for bedbugs. I didn’t find any, but I found a dead bedbug and a dead spider on the mattress.

Just don't stay here, period!. Dirty room, no room service until every other day. Hair of all sorts all over the room including the bed, dusty shelving, no napkins in the boxes, broken screen door, felt like you were in public housing, asked for extra towels since there is no room service, was told there was no staff working to bring the towels to the room. All this at the Marriott? We asked to speak with the manager upon check out, we were told they were busy in a meeting. Absolutely disgusted. We had a 2 month old with us.

The room was TERRIBLE. Black mold all over the bathroom (see photographs), and when we asked for a room change, we were offered a room next door to renovations going on. We moved out. The charges for the entire stay (Friday to Monday) are still on my credit card, and I hope we don't have a problem being refunded.

I’ve used this hotel often for the last 20 years, and unfortunately it is become run down. The carpets are old and soiled, the ice machine was broken, and one of the glass doors appeared to have been kicked in.

Wonderful staff at check in. Wonderful young lady to get coffee from in the morning. Very nice lobby and lounge area. Very nice courtyard. Rooms are outdate and need updating. Rooms on exterior need a lot of TLC. WWas sad to see the condition when on the side parking lot.

Wè have stayed at this property several times because its the closest to where our children live. The staff is always very friendly, but the internet sucks. Even streaming a movie is interrupted with "loading"

Staff at check in were courteous and hospitable. The room furniture was a bit tired, but the bed (most importantly!) was very comfortable and my wife and I both got a solid night's rest. Tere was a sign in the lobby announcing that the property was about to go through a complete remodel. The lobby are looked quite nice, but our room (#155) could use a makeover. The water pressure in the bathroom sink was pathetic.

Everything was great the only thing I didn’t care for is that the TV was not facing the bed. It was on the wall adjacent to the long side of the bed and if you’re like me who likes to fall asleep watching your favorite shows this may bother you a bit, but other than that, I would say it was an excellent stay. Great location as well. You’re only about 15 to 20 minutes from downtown Detroit and everywhere else really.

I have a disability and requested a room close to the lobby. In addition, I\'d had a medical procedure earlier that day, which is why I chose to stay at a hotel instead of my home, due to convenience. This was stressed before I made a registration; of course, the room wasn\'t close and I would have had to go back to the vehicle, get back in and out which is difficult and risk having issues with my procedure. Or, walk quite a distance to the room. Brad, "the manager" had zero empathy, but could ask another guest where they were getting a plate for Thanksgiving. I left after Brad and I both called local police officers to intervene as he didn\'t like my attitude. I will be addressing this matter with corporate.

The staff and management were so friendly, the room was clean and nice, parking was easy, and even the management was walking around the bistro checking on people to make sure they were happy. Probably one of the best hotel experiences we've ever had in decades, and we said multiple times that we'll be back. It's worth driving 15-20 minutes to Downtown Detroit to stay somewhere this pleasant!

The rooms were nice and beds were comfortable, but I don't think I will stay there again. The elevator to get to the rooms is SO FAR AWAY from the front desk. The lady at the cafe in the morning is unfriendly and I stood at the front desk this morning for 10 minutes waiting for someone to check me out and take my payment for two sodas. NO ONE WAS AROUND! The front desk was completely empty with no staff in sight. Also, the light in the elevator went out so you rode up in complete darkness. I don't know how many hours it was out but it was definitely TOO long. Maybe once their construction is done, they can improve on their service. But right now, I won't be back.

Staff including the manager was wonderful and friendly. Checked in 4-5 times within 25 days because my son was in the hospital. And I was from another city. As a matter of fact, my son recommended this hotel. Couple of times I smelled someone smoking. You get a lot of exercise walking. One elevator way in the back. Very long hallways. I didn't mind it tho. They get plenty of customers. Always plenty full and busy. Would stay again if I'm in town.

Check in at 3pm to an unclean room. Was told i could get another room in 2 hours. Upon my return i was told my original room was ready, only to find out that it wasn't cleaned at all. I returned to the front desk in pure disgust, the night clerk gave me another room that was clean. Finally, if my kids weren't already settled in my other room, i would have left this establishment. I checked in at 3 and didn't enter a clean room until 830.

While Melody of the support staff was very helpful, the manager was not professional at all. During checkout he was not attentive or efficient. He manner was very dismissive as he focused on his cell phone while leaving me waiting to check out. He did not apologize for the wait and attempted to simply laugh it off while making excuses.

Hotel a little shabby. Cleaning didn’t get around to my room my whole (4-day) stay, though they were supposed to clean every 3 days. “Bartender” appeared to be maintenance staff who made a martini with vodka and club soda. Undrinkable. He’d never heard of Vermouth.

Really disappointed with the conditions of the room we were given and its cleanliness. The curtains were ripped, carpet felt wet, and the overall feel was not what we expected for what we paid. Dirty swimming pool. This is poor management or ownership for not supporting the hotel workers with the necessary items to ensure a clean environment for the paying guests. We will not return to this hotel. The workers were all very friendly and the area around the hotel was relatively nice.

Hotels is conveniently located. Front desk staff very cordial hotel is looking a little used but has a poster in the lobby showing the improvements that are going to be happening. Very close to access I-696 and M-10.

This was a 1king bd $230 one night stay that felt like it could have been $90. Overall it wasn’t bad but it was far from $230. The cleanliness of my room was 6.5/10 They have a bistro that is barely open. The staff is cool. Hotel just need to add more value for your money.

The only thing I didn’t like was the time on the breakfast. It closed 39 min before time. Only one person was working and it was a lot on her. She needed help. My heart of compassion went out to her struggle.

The overall stay was good, however, there was a very limited and poor breakfast selection. The reservation staff was good and even offered us drinks on the house when there was a problem with the keys that delayed our check-in upon arrival. On a somber note on the day of check out, we noticed our blanket that look like it was not clean and was in need of a washing.

The hotel was under construction and I didn’t know until I saw in the halls on my way to the room. The bistro served me avocado toast dunked in oil and microwaved hard-boiled eggs—I would not recommend the meal. I was the only one in line and there was only one worker, but I still had a long wait. Don’t go there if you’re in a rush but I’m sure they have some other better food options. The room had a weird smell but it was clean and quiet.

Great location and nicely renovated older facility - with welcoming staff. Has a sister hotle next door with decent food options that's an easy walk.
