Pool was filthy with murky water. Hot tub was dame temperature as pool and u clean as well. There were an abundance of children running thru the halls yelling at all hours. Staff was notified and taken care of briefly.

When we checked in our room stink. It smelled like old dirty water, the toilet knob was broke and when we left there was no valet person. We paid 30 for valet parking and nobody was working… it’s suppose to be 24 hour valet services. The front desk rep had to go and get my car smh.. ridiculous!

Pool was gross. Hot tub not working. Mattress on beds terrible and soft (back is a wreck.) Tons of screaming children running around the property. Water pressure in shower meager. Bath fixtures loose and wobbly. Previous guests hair throughout the bathroom and guest room. Parking structure under construction and in horrendous condition-good luck finding your way after dark. This is a sad reminder that there was a nice hotel here once. We won’t choose Westin again.

Parking was awful. It was dark. Entrance to hotel from parking - I could not find it. I drove around the parking structure for an hour looking for a safe place to park. Ended up using valet. As a woman traveling will never stay here again for this reason.

When I got there I checked into the first room and there was feces on the side of the toilet. They immediately changed my room and the second room smelled like mold. Also, you have to request that your room is cleaned daily. The front desk staff said that during my stay they are required to tidy the room and cleaning has to be requested. I won’t be staying there again. I like the Westin as a chain but the one in Southfield MI is outdated and dirty.

I was very disappointed with my recent stay at this hotel stay at this hotel.The cleanliness of both rooms was far below standard.the sheets on the bed had visible stains which was both unacceptable and unsetting. Additionally ,there was a noticeable layers of dust on furniture and fixtures indicating that the room had not been properly cleaned prior to my arrival. This experience was not only concerning from a health and hygiene perspective.I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless significant improvement to their house keeping and customer service standards.

My room was dated, drafty, and loud. I found hairs in the bed that were clearly not mine or my husband’s. But more than that, I just don’t like the nickel and diming from this allegedly four star property. There’s plenty of parking but you still have to pay $15/night to park in their poorly lit, cramped, poorly maintained garage. This is clearly a deliberate choice, as all of the ample parking in front of the hotel is labeled VALET - so basically, you have to pay extra to have someone else drive your car ten feet in front of the hotel. Breakfast isn’t included. The restaurant is ludicrously overpriced. They charge for wifi even if you’re a Bonvoy member. It’s impossible to reach a human being to get customer service. I left with a bad taste in my mouth and won’t recommend this property to anyone. The experience has made me leery of Westin as a brand.

Great property and friendly team. Only concern was the large amount of fruit flies at the bar, that Crete a negative dinning experience. Had to get another drink based on it being prepared with a dead fruit fly in it. Housekeeping staff was very nice and accommodating Front desk team-friendly Waitress and breakfast restaurant-excellent customer service

The bathroom was dirty with trash under sink. The water didn’t let out of tub I was standing in water to my ankles while showering the Libby was clean staff was nice. I attempted to check out at 330am 2/26 i asked for credit and refund if my deposit I was told I would get credit later and my deposit Lin 5-10 business days

Infestation of fruit flies throughout the entire hotel. We attempted to have dinner for our anniversary at the restaurant, there were fruit flies everywhere. So we went out. When we came back we were having a glass of wine in our room, fruit flies were there as well and ended up in my drink. Very gross. Disappointing since this is supposedly an upscale hotel. Investing in the comfort and cleanliness for your guests is expected. This was pretty gross experience

Entering the room it gave a very dark hello. Once inside entered the restroom where I was hit with a strong order of urine. Happy I wore my Meta glasses to record. The furniture was a mess with strange stains on the couch and dresser. The bed had old fur ball blankets but here’s the kicker filled with months of old human facial and skin hair on the mattress. This room used to be great for the price but now not only is it outdated but very disgusting.

So This Place Can Be aesthetically pleasing, but they need to do a shampoo of the carpet in the room move sofas and chairs when vacuuming to make sure the whole room is clean. As for properties of the hotel the drawer was busted and would not stay closed The tub was a little dingy looking, but I wear shower slides to shower when in this situation. They Tried to accommodate my issue, which was because I found my sheets with stains and reported it and asked for clean sheets and I was given that with a breakfast coupon. The breakfast bar wasn’t too bad. I’ll give it a 3.5 out of five. The staff was nice. The area was quiet. The hotel area was quiet. Over all Stay was a 3.5 Out of 5.

I couldn’t imagine being here on a family trip or with friends and trying to make that work. Overall, the hotel itself wasn’t terrible, but the value just wasn’t there. For a supposed 4-star experience, it felt more like 2.5 stars with a nice lobby. Probably wouldn’t book again unless it was the only option in the area.

The wifi is so terrible. you cannot plan to work or use the internet at all in your room. it cuts out and freezes all the time. I called down to the front desk for assistance and she acknowledged that they'd gotten a lot of calls about it. Also, the carpet in this westin is in extremely gross condition. Feels really shabby in the hallways and common areas.

Pro: The bed! It was so soft, cool, smelled clean, and fluffy! Con: The rainfall shower head didn’t work and my tub was clogged. When I call the front desk to report the inconvenience, the lady was very nice but did not ask for my info for a follow up call, offer compensation or transfer me to the complaint departmentTo be fair it was early in the morning but I would have liked to speak with someone about the issue. Overall: I booked this space as a night away from home, just for a little me time. A place to rest without toys in the bed or kids knocking on the door during a bath. However, I only received half of what I was looking for in a space and only half of what I paid for. I don’t think I’d stay again, nor would it be my first recommendation to a friend. Which is a shame because it’s such a beautiful hotel.

I enjoyed my stay, but there were a ton of unattended children on hockey teams running around the hotel, joy riding the elevators and running through the halls making noise late into the evening. I wish the hotel would force the parents to chaperone their kids. I don't want to pay a more premium price and have to deal with the sheer number of kids who were allowed to just run around the entire hotel without any adults. All of the boys appeared to be between 7-10 years old. Boys will be boys, but leaving them to do as they please was very disappointing.

Yes the room was neglected. I turned on my heat because the room was cold. After waiting for an hour I called the front desk. Maintenance came up ten to fifteen minutes later and said he was just turning on the broilers. My television had to be reset because it only had the company ads on. My bathtub filled up with water when I was taking a shower. I felt that this was a 5 star hotel so why would I not be able to turn on the heat whenever I wanted to because the next day I turned on my heat again and I got no heat. also why would by tub be backed up? Why was there no room service? Why did the staff no know how to direct me to food choices in the area?

Did not care for the room. To start, view (rooftops and parking garage) was disappointing considerung the price. Room smelled like bleach. Tub and bathroom vanity top was stained (very dingy as well). No light in the shower. A/C was very loud. Desk clerks qere very professional, pleasant and helpful...wait staff in the restaurant were equally pleasant, considerate, and proficient.

My room was fine and smelled stale, but the hallway leading to the parking garage smells like dead body and looks like a horror scene. We paid extra to checkout late and had someone walk into our room twice before checkout and there was no knock either time. The lady who checked me in wasn’t very nice or considerate. I was all ready to check in she said she needed to log in and checked someone in before me who just walked up straight to the counter and the lady after me took even longer because she was having a personal conversation with them. The parking is so suspect but I do feel that you should let people know prior to staying that they’ll have to pay for parking regardless of whether or not they use valet. overall I won’t be coming back.

I enjoy the smooth check in process. Tiffany checked me in and it was a pleasure. She made you feel very welcomed. Joy from the Restaurant was our server. I would come back just to see her friendly self. Looked forward to seeing her at the buffet. I can see why she has been with the company over 30 years.

All the property staff were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The front desk staff were especially kind & courteous! Our accompanying guests list their room keys & the front desk immediately closed those keys & without incident, issued new keys - no questions asked!!!

Please ensure a sign is put in the elevator to let people know you need to use your key card after hours. I got locked in the elevator as no one told me this at check in. No one was available at the service desk to assist me sy 4am and I was locked out for 40 minutes. Staff finally arrived and apologized. I was also not told that there would be a $100 hold on my debit card for expenses if any.

Severely UNDERstaffed. The daytime staff were all EXCELLENT! When nighttime came, HORRIBLE! TERRIBLE! UNACCEPTABLE Customer service. Even a couple were incompetent. I gave up at night. (As Omar on Everybody Hates Chris would say…) ”tragic…TRAGIC!”

I stay in this hotel frequently for weekends . Never any issues until now . A very unfriendly woman informed me at 1:45 that check in is at 3 ( I prepaid for my room) I was to attend a meeting and needed a room sooner . Never in the last 20 years I had this problem that she wouldn’t find an early check in even if I paid for it . She wasn’t nice about it either . So I will think twice before staying there again . Sorry .

The worst part was the service from this 4-star hotel! I can't believe this is the standard from Marriott. Our bad experience started right at check-in — they didn’t give us our room number (usually it's written on the key card packet, but they skipped that) and didn’t mention anything about the breakfast coupon. We had to go back and ask about that after we entered the breakfast room the next morning. The service at breakfast was honestly the worst I’ve ever experienced at any hotel. At first, I thought it might be a language barrier, but we had no issues communicating with the other servers. We asked for hot tea and got just the hot water pot and tea bag — no cup. She took our breakfast coupon from the table without asking, and even cleared our plates while we were still eating, unlike another server (Gus), who always asked first and kindly refilled our water. Gus was the only one who actually helped us. She, on the other hand, seemed to avoid our table entirely and focused on other guests. I don’t even remember her name — maybe Casey — because she barely showed up at all. The hotel facilities were great, except many guests ignored the rule about no children after 10 p.m., and the staff didn’t do anything about it. (Why even have “adults-only” time then?) The room was nice, but we found a used earring from a previous guest and a ladybug in the room. Hopefully, other guests won’t have the same experience we did.
