Great location to downtown Traverse City. Nice beach and water access to Grand Traverse Bay. Hotel was well kept, with nice rooms, and nice breakfast. Beautiful indoor pool area. Staff was very friendly.

All good especially for families with children. Great indoor pool, free breakfast buffet. All clean and well-managed. No bar or restaurant, a problem for some. Closest is long walk or short drive.

This property has it's own beach with chairs already out. It's walkable to downtown Traverse City. It felt very clean and we enjoyed the pool and hot tub as well!

The location cannot be beat, the shore of Lake Michigan is magical. The staff are very friendly and accommodate requests almost immediately. The facility is older but kept up extremely well. Has a great pool and jacuzzi area, the game room and gym are a bonus. Good food every morning and fresh coffee available always. I will be back, this was my 2nd visit.

Wonderful hotel! Beautiful location, CLEAN, pristine beach, quiet, and extremely friendly staff!! I was traveling for work with my husband and toddler and they were extremely kind in granting a late check out because he was napping.

Not very impressed this time with Bayshore resort. Breakfast wasn’t that good like previous years. They removed regular Cheerios and no more corn flakes cereal. They have only those kids extra sugary cereal’s. No nutella as well. Room wasn’t that great either. We had 2 queen beds (not comfortable at all together with pillows), old carpet and we had some kids screaming next door and on other side someone smoking weed. No hair and body shampoo or soap when we enter the room, had to call to get some. We always come in summer time to this resort at least 2-3 times but this time wasn’t that great. Beach towels small and thin nothing compared to last years. Hope they will improve so guests who are used to have good stay will keep coming back

The balcony and view from room was absolutely beautiful. Vents were full of dust and I personally thought the beds and pillows were uncomfortable. Jacuzzi spa looked clean but I doubt they clean the jets out properly as I got an infection.

Balcony offered a great view. It was wonderful listening to the waves and seeing the sun in the morning. The jacuzzi tub was awesome. Best I have ever had. The bed was not the best. I would give it 3.5 stars. The room was nice and clean and the staff were overall friendly.

Came back after being out for the day and our keys would not work on our door. Had to end up moving to another room, and once there, every time the room above us turned on the shower or tub, the running water was so loud you couldn’t sleep.

Overall, this hotel was a good option for our family's annual Traverse City visit, but there were a few things that have us questioning if we'll be back. The location is great, the beach is great, the indoor pool is great, and the breakfast is decent. We weren't told there was a free shuttle to downtown TC/the Cherry Festival when we checked in at the hotel and discovered this several days into our trip, so we missed some opportunities to utilize this great feature. Our kids loved that there was a little arcade and are already begging to go back. However, the room was very dated with older carpeting and furniture. The kind of carpeting that just feels a little gross to walk on barefoot. (No obvious stains, it was not visibly dirty, just felt old enough to feel kinda gross). For the price I was expecting a nicer room. Second, the wifi was horrible. If you're looking to bang out some work on your visit, this is not the place for you. My Verizon service did not work well in the hotel and I kept getting kicked off the wifi, so I was not able to do much on my phone while in the hotel. Third, the toiletries were in the saddest little paper packs you had to tear open to use. They just felt like something you'd find at a cheap roadside motel. Again, this is not a big deal, but more a sign to me that this hotel needs to do some updates to justify their prices.

Also they trash talk guest as they were speaking in Jamaican/Patois not realizing I speak it as well and were saying mean and offensive things about guest walking by. I asked to exchange towels around 9:30pm and the front desk lady rolled her eyes at me and acted like it was the strangest request she’s ever received. They give dirty looks as you are walking by. The shower for the king jacuzzi room is very small and difficult to shower in even as a lean man and nowhere to place you’re shower stuff so you have to set it on the bathroom floor and open the shower curtain every time to grab body wash, shampoo, etc. It’s the size of a cruise ship shower but even those have shelves for your shower stuff. You overall it’s an okay hotel but definitely below the quality of other places to stay in Traverse City.

It’s a nice looking place and it’s good to be right on the beach. BUT, the walls are very thin and you can hear every voice and every noise on the entire floor. When the shower in the next room was being used it sounded like it was in my own room it was so loud. Also, the bed was very uncomfortable. My neck and shoulders are killing me after two nights sleeping in that bed. The view and the beach is nice, and it’s clean, but it’s nowhere near worth the more than $400 per night I paid. I don’t recommend staying there and I would never stay there again.

Customer service at check in and check out was terrible. It was New Years Eve and you could tell she didn’t want to be there. When we saw her again at checkout the next day, nothing changed. No smile, no warmth. Other than that stay was nice, clean, and comfortable. The hotel had a free shuttle to downtown for NYE and they were very accommodating.

Would stay here again. Originally, they did not honor my request for a king size bed; however, when their error was pointed out, the staff member offered us an upgrade as there were no other king sized bedrooms available. We ended up in a lovely beachside room. The sunsets were amazing.

The front desk was very accommodating, and we were grateful. Our room looked out to the pool area and there was a fun group of adults enjoying themselves. However, we had to be up quite early, and the noise level was pretty high. We made a call explaining our situation, and she not only moved us to a different room, but didn’t make us pay the extra amount for having a room facing the bay. We slept great, and truly appreciated them working with us.

We loved the location. Right on the beach and close to the downtown area. The staff at the front desk were very pleasant and helpful, but the employees who impressed us the most were the cleaning staff! Super friendly! Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay at this property! The location great if you want to stay right on the beach, but it isn’t the best if you want to walk around downtown, because it’s about a 30 minute walk (if you are fit). It was a good value for the beach view and balcony. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the boats. The included breakfast was also really good. Check in and out was efficient. There is a great trail not far from the hotel that is great for running, walking, or bike riding. The hotel gym is not huge, but workable. The property was extremely clean. Definitely recommend!

Most things were fine. Our room was sort of in a corner and didn't have a direct view of the water like a lot of the other rooms with views. Also- there is construction going on right next to the hotel and the workers started at around 7 am banging and making a lot of noise. That was VERY annoying.

Splurged on the lake view room and it was so worth it. Seeing the lake at sunset, after dark and sunrise was so beautiful. Rooms were very clean and beds super comfy. Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast. They did offer the little pre made cheese and western omlettes. Coffee was available in the lobby throughout our stay and there is an ice cream freezer in the lobby of some local ice cream for purchase. If we had wanted there is a free shuttle to local restaurants. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

This hotel is great! Right on the water, pool is clean and spacious and well-kept, lobby and grounds are beautiful, the rooms are also spacious and clean. The decor is fun. Being right on the beach is wonderful, it's magical to wake up to a beautiful sunrise over quiet water. The breakfast is fantastic, and take it outside on their beach patio for an even better experience! Highly recommend!

I would hardly classify Bayshore as a resort when no restaurant or bar were available. Breakfast was less than mediocre. Our room was extremely small for the $435 nightly fee. I was told to call the front desk and not go through Expedia!!

Normally people probably would rave about the beach access, which was great. However, we went in October.. so I'll rave about the free breakfast. Great choices, but far and away our favorite was the taco shaped omelets. Easily the best complimentary breakfast I've ever had at a hotel.

The breakfast and selections were plentiful. The room clean and tidy at all times as attendants were there to watch and assist . Checkin I noticed was welcoming and friendly too all on a late afternoon shift. The super shift around 8pm one night easily and cheerfully solved a major problem I had quickly with empathy. I will always book Bayshore Traverse City in the future and by the way great location and quiet beach!
