This hotel was clean, inside and outside the property. We got a balcony room over looking the bay. The beach area was nice, plenty of beach chairs, the pool area was beautifully done although we did not test the pool or hot tub water. We were here for only one night during our light house tour but would definitely stay again if ever in the area. You can buy firewood and they have fire rings by the beach area so you can have a fire which I really thought was a great idea.

Very nice room and great view over the balcony. The hot tub was never hot and we were there for 2 nights. The breakfast was not good. Sausage was way over cooked and eggs were undercooked.

The bed was very uncomfortable and the elevator went out and stayed out the whole time. Not much fun walking up 3 flights of stairs with a bad kneed and even worse carrying your luggage down when leaving

Great location right on the lake! With lounge chairs and a nice sandy beach. Also the restaurant is very nice with happy hour and a nice menu. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was well equipped and comfortable. No complaints. A little further from town but most hotels you would have to drive to town anyway.

Overpriced, dated and unfriendly staff… other than the bartender in the lounge (Chris) he pours a nice glass of whiskey. After arriving, I was made to wait for roughly 20 minutes while the only front desk attendant was on the phone making a reservation. Once the other front desk attendant finished her smoke break (immediately in front of the hotel) she was able to help me. And by help I mean, gave me my key and sent me on my way. I then had the “pleasure” of riding the slowest elevator of all time with the cleaning staff, who bi*ched & moaned the whole way up about having to work. Once in my room, a $455 per night “suite”… I found that the year 1992 was the theme of the room. Complete with stained curtains and a super fancy glass wall around the wal-mart fireplace. Nothing about this “resort” screams $455 per night, other than the overlook of the East Bay, which was quite nice. Beach access and the view are the ONLY positives. Find somewhere else to stay.

Over all it is a nice property. Comfortable beds, clean room and lobby area. The staff works hard and very helpful and friendly The continental breakfast is only available Monday thru Friday. On the weekends they charge you for the breakfast buffet, yes there are more choices to choose from, but if you are a paying quest it should be included with the room charge. The continental breakfast is only available after Labor Day up to Memorial Day. The pool and spa need work. The spa jets do not work well. Both the pool and spa had lots of sand on the bottom. We were for 3 nights and it didn't look like they were cleaned. The tile in the pool was dirty. The side and bottom of the pool needs to be refinished

The staff was friendly and the beach was clean! But that’s about as far as it goes. Our room had dirty surfaces (ex. pop tart gunk on side table next to the bed). Also the pool/hot tub area was small and unclean. Worst part was they used way too many chemicals in the pool and or hot tub. Don’t know if they got them mixed up or what. Ours (and other guests) suits were bleached. My daughters bottoms went from light blue to almost completely white. The rest of our suits were faded out in spots and my material even looks bad now ($60 top). We left after 20 min when we noticed that and my bf’s eyes were burning. Our skin felt gross by the time we got up in the room and we took showers real fast. We should have gone down to the front desk right then but I hate being a complainer. And worst yet after we got home my 14yo daughter had me check her hair because she had tried to condition it and put hair masks on it and it was literally CRUNCHY! Like she had a horrible bleach job! This was the final straw for me. I tried emailing the hotel twice after we got home from vacation and even sent pics of our ruined suits. It’s been over a week with no reply. I will never stay there again. There are many other great hotels on that shoreline to choose from. My $260 night ended up costing us over $400 after everything was ruined and there is nothing I can even do for my daughter’s hair.

The pool area was dirty, there were band aids on the floor, and the pool was full of sand and there was alot of sand on the pool chairs as well. The night time desk person was not very personable. Husband went to get pool towels and she said not one word to him - just pushed the clipboard towards him and handed him towels. The room was average. Not worth what we paid to stay there. The lounge is a nice feature, can have drinks and not worry about driving. We had dinner there, the prime rib and it was very tough and not very good.

Bay front was the only redeeming feature. The room was dirty, cob webs in corners of bathroom. The balcony was covered in insects and cob webs as if it wasn’t wiped down in months. To pay extra for a balcony that is not usable was disappointing. :(

Overall the room was very clean. We had a balcony room and it was covered with dead insects. Most likely it wasn’t swept recently and should have been. Also walked on the beach facing the water. There were several cigarette butts in the sand and sidewalk area.

I booked this room on our way to Traverse City. I had never booked through Hotels.com but the process was easy and smooth. Check in was quick and efficient while still getting all the information necessary. Our room was clean and we had housekeeping service every day, which was the first time we've encountered this since Covid. The pool and hit tub area was also clean. Previous reviews complained about the pool being too cold but i thought it was about average. We really enjoyed the adjoining restaurant and bar. They offered a 4 hour long Happy Hour daily. Their menu was quite varied and prices were typical of the area. It is definitely frequented by the locals, especially on Wednesday- trivia night!

room 314 is right next to the maintenance room, which bangs and clangs all night, & all day. i did not get more than 5 hours of sleep a night & i had a fan on HIGH right next to me. it was as if someone was banging drums all night long. absolutely awful

The suite we stayed in exceeded my expectations it had three rooms and the most beautiful view of the bay right from bed it had a great balcony and a lg. Walkin shower and updated bathroom. A nice fire place in the bedroom and a TV in living room and bedroom. I wish I could have stayed longer.beautiful beach area .

The rooms need a dehumidifier. The carpet, bedding and towels were all damp and sticky. Felt gross. Unfortunately the day I left, the elevator was broken and I had to haul everything down 4 flights of stairs, making 5 trips to my vehicle. I had a lake view balcony room, and that was nice! Staff kept the beach area very clean.

We had an amazing suite with a wonderful view. We walked the whole beach and this hotel I thought looked like one of the best if not the best! Rented jet skis right outside, highly recommended! Definitely will come back!! Only complaints would be the breakfast isn’t free, and the deck in our room was a little tight.

The property is dated but some remodeling has been done to the rooms and makes them nice. We stayed in the king suite with a jacuzzi. The jacuzzi was big, more than enough for two large adults. Small but functional balcony with an awesome view of the bay. We sometimes slept with the patio door open to listen to waves. Two separate sinks made it easy for us to get ready for the day. The only downsides we noticed were that the bed is very hard, the couch wasn’t comfortable and it could use some floor lamps controlled by the switches. But we felt like nothing was enough to complain about.

We stayed two nights. First night was fine except for road noise. Description says the hotel has been remodeled but the ceiling in the shower was peeling, looked gross and didn't seem remodeled to me. It should be repaired. Day two we had an event to attend, left early and didn't return until evening. Our room was right at the top of the stairs. Went up, opened the door and immediately saw that our room was open, by way of the security latch being in front of the door. I immediately went back in my mind to when we left in the morning but we did not put the latch out. Frantically checked the entire room for anything that was missing or out of place. Then discovered fresh towels in the bathroom. Housekeeping left the door open!! I've NEVER had that happen before. Went down to notify the front desk and had to wait a minute for them to return from a break outside. I was pretty shaken by then, explained what we discovered and it was almost like she knew before I finished explaining. She was apologetic and said she would handle it and that was it. I went back to the room and what if'd about what could have happened and wondered all night if anyone random had been in our room. Couldn't wait to leave the next morning. I'll take this one off my list for our next trip.

Convenient to several dining options and just a short drive to downtown Traverse City. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The evening desk clerk gave us a delicious Mexican recommendation location. Resort sits right on the water with rooms having an accessible balcony with chairs. We greatly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back for more memories. Also recommend Tall Sail company for sailboat rides!

There was a persistent mechanical noise that affected multiple rooms and did not allow us to sleep. The staff recognized that "some guests are bothered by it", but refused to assist in any way. Did not returned calls to the room and blamed the customers for not calling back. Nothing was done to assist and the service of the front desk was horrible.

The staff was never present at the front desk if needed. We called for room service on Saturday night, waited on the phone for about 5 minutes just for them to tell us they “couldn’t do room service right now” and hung up. Room was decent but don’t offer room service if you’re not going to provide it, especially on a Saturday night.

The facility was excellent except for the breakfast offered. The non-hot offerings were fine, however, the two hot entrees offered both days were not so good. Powdered eggs both days, doctored with cheese the first day and then it was cheese and salsa mixed in the powdered eggs the second day. The French toast on the first day was over heated and it made the toast tough. The roasted potatoes on the second day were OK, however, some were not heated all the way through. The only place available to sit down and eat in the breakfast area is at the computer desk. There is a room with tables and chairs opposite the breakfast area, but it had hotel supplies stored on the tables. The only other option for seating was to take the food back to the room, but there were no trays to facilitate this option either.

I stayed at the Parkshore Resort last year and I would stay here again and recommend it to others. Breakfast was included during my stay this time which was unexpected, but I was told that it changes depending on the time of the year (I believe they said Memorial Day through the summer is when breakfast is no longer included). I dined at the Parkshore Lounge and my salmon dinner was really good, and I had a friendly waitress. The person who came to clean my room each day was also really friendly. My one disappointment, which is no fault of the hotel, is that I was unable to sit on my balcony overlooking the beach because of the mayflies. My prior visit was in July and we didn’t have that problem.

For the price, it did not meet expectations. Should have been a full breakfast included. The "continental" breakfast was poor and only available some days. On the weekends (when the room rate is greatest) you either paid an extra $10 for breakfast or got none at all. Continental was not offered. No ice on 4th floor for 3 days. I will not stay there in the future.

Everything was excellent except for one thing. The 4 -16×16 pillows for a King size bed should've been bigger. Other than that we were totally satisfied and definitely would stay there again when visiting Traverse City. The Lounge had a great happy hour with delicious food and great drinks.
