Hotel was located on the beach so location was ideal for relaxing. We stayed in the Penthouse, 4th floor, which did give us plenty of room & pretty views of the water from balcony. Room does have a full kitchen if you wanted to cook meals. Fresh coffee in lobby all day is good. Grounds are well maintaned & plenty of parking. My 2 negatives were that there's NO elevator in the building we were in (website never stated this). Carrying luggage & stuff 4 floors only made me mad, never thought to ask if there's an elevator at a hotel with 4 floors? Simple breakfast would be ok but there's nowhere to eat in lobby so carried yogurt, boiled egg & coffee up 4 flights of stairs 1st day, we had breakfast out the rest. When I asked about elevator they said there's one in the building next door?

Great location (it can be hard to turn left out of the parking lot due to traffic). The rooms were a good size, but don't have daily maid service.The shower was small and tight. The breakfast had a good variety, but you should bring a bag to take it back to your room to eat. The beach was beautiful and the pool was clean and nice to swim in. We had a great time.

Rooms and beach are very nice. Doors to rooms are on the outside of building. No elevator, however, the person at the front desk did ask if we needed help as we were on the 3rd floor. Room was very nice.

The only drawback to this hotel is there is no elevator. If you have issues in climbing stairs or hauling multiple suit cases upstairs, this could be a problem.

No elevator. Stairwells and windows in between floors needed cleaned desperately, but the rooms were very clean. We stayed in two different rooms because we extended our reservation. The view from the balcony is great. Very relaxing. Nice continental breakfast that you could put on a tray and take up to your room. The selection is better if you get there early. The pool is shaded all day. It could have Been a little warmer and we came in August on 90° days

A deeper cleaning of the room would have been nice. There was food splattered on walls, our feet were black from the floor not being moped properly and the curtains and chairs were so stained up it looked like it’s never been cleaned.

View was beautiful! Grab and go breakfast had a nice selection. Maintenance and cleanliness of our room was not the greatest. The lock on the siding glass door was broken; so, there was no way to lock our room. Upon arrival there were used tissues on the chair, dirt under the beds, and hair in the shower.

Room are in desperate need of deep clean and remodel. Bathrooms are disgusting, shower full of mold and small. Couldn’t even lean over to shave my legs. Towels and sheets were actually grey instead of white! Such a shame to let a beautiful piece of land with a great view turn into a dump!

Staff were friendly and helpful. View is excellent and beach always clean. Rooms not cleaned well. Dirt in corners, mold in bathrooms, urine smell in room from toilet. Former guests stashed half-smoked cigarettes in cabinet for later use. Balcony doors/screens do not close completely. Location convenient - staff great - just not clean. rodent boxes outside facility unattractive.

The room was not that clean. There were cob webs with spiders and bugs in the lamp shades. The bathroom floor was dirty and the shower had mold on the caulked areas. The room was hard to regulate the temperature either too cold or too hot.

The rooms are not cleaned properly, if you expect to book here I would bring sandals to wear around the room and extra sheets. There’s also a slight bug problem, lots of spiders and there were a few centipedes. We felt disgusting after staying there because of the lack on cleanliness, it kind of ruined the trip. I would recommend staying literally anywhere else, but in previous years I had great luck with Baywatch resort, although it’s a little more expensive.

The rooms are large with great views, but they need a deep cleaning and updates. Bathroom floor was dirty, cobwebs in corners curtain was dragging on the floor and didn't cover the window. Outdated furniture. Very noisy a/c.

Nice waterfront view from balcony. Room is dated and needs updating. Can hear every step people in the room above you take all day and night. If you’re going to stay here request a room on the top floor. Pay close attention to your bank or credit card information if you prepay as some people working at front desk erroneously charged me and am still waiting for the pending charges to drop off.

I love the room with the Bay View and SpaTub! The rooms are dated but the view of the water view and customer service makes up for that. The walls are thin, maybe thats something they can update to make it more sound proof. Other than that we had a great time!

Loved the beach view. The double queen bed room (with jetted tub) had only a curtain dividing the shower area with the bed area. The curtain doesn’t 100% close off the area- there was always a small gap. No big deal if it’s just you and your spouse, when there is another couple sharing the room- it’s awkward. Prefer no tub and a bigger shower. The shower stall is small and tight.

Great place with incredible water views. Large room with plenty of space to spread out. Great lighting in the bathroom area, nice to have a water closet as well. Definitely a 5 star stay, only downside was the HVAC unit kicked on every 5-15 minutes during the night, but overall excellent stay with great value for the money!

Definitely an older property that needs some updating. The view is beautiful and so is the beach area. The rooms aren't sealed well and traffic noise is loud. Needs a full length mirror, and some deep cleaning.

This is a nice hotel. Clean room, great view and lots of amenities. The air conditioner was unplugged and we could never get it to work correctly. We ended up having to leave the balcony door open to cool the room. Thank goodness we were on the third floor. The biggest drawback was absolutely NO housekeeping. We had to get our own towels from the office and I think the lady handing them out (grudgingly) was handing out her personal towels. The process was borderline confrontational. For what we paid for the room, this seemed to send a message of apathy, almost like, "You're here, just deal with it." It was disappointing to say the least.

Stayed at Pointes North from 5/31 to 6/4 and housekeeping never once cleaned our room, we had to go to the main office for clean towels and coffe. We went with two other couples and they had the same issues. Voiced our concerns about housekeeping and we were told they would make note about it but nothing was done.

Property was wonderful. Great views and good price. Had an issue with the room deposit. Gavino at the front desk went above and beyond to even include reimbursing some of the room cost due to the inconvenience. When I checked out this morning he was on the phone with Expedia making sure the refund was being processed. Stellar service from him and the rest of the team. Will definitely try and be back

Very beautiful views and clean. Only complaint I have is the person who checked us in was not friendly. Almost felt like we were bothering him. First impressions count. After that all other staff members were friendly and very helpful. We did have a wonderful time.

What a wonderful stay here! Travis at the front desk was very helpful during check in and handled our concerns quickly and efficiently. Our room was clean and spacious with a balcony viewing the beach. We spent majority of our time at the beach! We will definitely be back!

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Each room has a bay view, but room may be limited to just the walk out patio. And of course, northern MI in late October....no bay view unless you wanna bundle up, lol. Located right on main highway which takes you downtown, (5 min.), and up mission peninsula and the wineries and west Traverse bay with approx. 1/2 hr. trip.

Let me start with the positives…the view and location. Otherwise, it felt outdated, tiny shower, ancient jet tub, spider webs everywhere and just didn’t feel clean. Breakfast was basically a grab and go beverages and snacks type of deal.

We had a wonderful stay! We love Traverse City. Having a comfortable room that overlooks the bay, and a jacuzzi tub, were such treats! "Breakfast" is more of a cheap snack bar, but at the price for our stay we found we could splurge on food elsewhere.

We had a gorgeous view of the bay! The bed and living area was nicely updated. The bathroom was dated. The jacuzzi tub didn't hold water. When we arrived our room didn't have any towels or washcloths, but the front desk remedied that for us very quickly. Grab and go breakfast was simple, but met our needs.

The place has a very beautiful view of the bay. The scenery is fantastic however, the place needs some updating some repairs and some cleaning the ceiling on the walkway and the balconies were disgusting. The bed was comfortable and clean floors were mediocre in the staff was so, so the breakfast was disappointing very much Frozen Bob Evans sandwiches and stuff no breakfast.
