When we were checking we were told our hotel room was at another hotel a mile up the road. I said no, I reserved a room here and confirmed the address. I told them I was not informed of a hotel change and that I could not stay at a different hotel because we had side by sides. So they put us in a room where we reserved one. Hot tub was out of order. The next day our door opens and it’s the housekeeper and she apologizes and says she didn’t know anyone was in the room because it was listed as out of order. There were pubic hairs on our toilet seat and the steps to go upstairs were filthy dirty. Then we discovered our tub didn’t drain properly. The breakfast was awful. Hard boiled eggs were like rubber, waffles didn’t cook all the way but were left in the pan the allotted time, the cereal was stale and the bagel my daughter had was stale. The coffee was decent. We’ve stayed here the last couple years and it had been nice. Woot stay here again.

Rooms were not ready at check in time. One room had not been cleaned by 8:00pm and we had to wait an additional 1/2 hour to get into the room. Poorly staffed. Pool was closed for one of the days we stayed there.

For starters, we waited a half hour to get checked in. The guy behind the counter was very old and seemed to be struggling with checking people in. He also wasn’t very personable. Never looked up to say hi to anybody. Our room smelled moldy. Our bathroom smelled like urine. There is no coffee in the rooms, I went to the front desk to ask for some took him 20 minutes to look throughout the hotel for some, then the cleaning lady said they ordered some but it was not here yet. The hot tub was not in service that was not mentioned online. This was something we were looking forward to after a very long bike trip. I would expect such service if this was a low budget hotel, totally unacceptable!!!!!

It wasn't bad of a place, but yeah, their continental breakfast is you're better off buying breakfast and uh, the coffee is always on back order. The room was pretty nice. Other than they didn't clean the bathroom very well. I found woman's hair in the bathtub when I went to go take a shower. And I don't have any hair but if you're in a pinch, it's not bad.

The room was clean but the first thing I noticed was the smell of the room. It smelled like dirty feet and smelled musty. I’m not sure they keep the air on all the time when the rooms aren’t being used. I rented 2 rooms and my friend’s room smelled the same way. Also, it’s always nice to see a clean bathtub without any “hair” in it. This tub had some in it.

This hotel is terrible, and it is a dump. We reserved a room, and when we looked at it, it was filthy. It smelled terribly, and they were light fixtures that were not functional in the room. The hotel was not secure, and there was overflowing garbage cans outside we are requesting a refund for our payment, which was made prior to arrival.

Windows were dirty with bugs between glass and screen; carpet didn’t look like it had been vacuumed; bathroom hadn’t been updated for 40 years. The bedroom had a sofa with a black slip cover, two upholstered chairs and a brown duvet on the bed. I felt doubtful that the duvet had been cleaned or the upholstered chairs and sofa. All those places for other people's germs made me uneasy. The AC was noisy.

Nice, clean, quiet hotel with comfortable, spacious rooms and very soft beds. There was a smart TV in our room, which was a great change from the usual limited local cable of most hotels. The continental breakfast had plenty of simple options, even vegetarian and vegan options, including fresh fruit, oatmeal, and bagels. There is no cooked food like eggs, biscuits, etc... but there is a waffle maker and batter. Walker is a beautiful, vibrant, active town, even in winter, but the dining options are very limited for anyone who doesn't like heavy, Midwestern food (to no fault of the hotel). That really was my only issue with our entire stay. Overall, I would recommend staying at Walker Hotel.

It was a little odd that the property was adjoining the restaurant but didn't seem to be affiliated in any way. Our room was decent sized, and pretty clean overall. HVAC system was excessively noisy, even after I turned it off completely. The same could be said of the fridge in the room. Then anytime anyone in your room or adjoining rooms flushed the toilet, you heard it loud & clear for the entirety of the flush/refill. Area was very walkable & we walked to a couple restaurants while we were there & it was easy to access the bike paths as well. All in all, I'd say it was just OK. Not bad, but not great.

The hotel was very clean, beds very comfortable, staff was very friendly. There is not a lot that I would have changed. We had a king suite which could use some remodeling in the bath area. It could use better lighting and updates for the shower. Although the showers were clean, they were so old that they looked dingy. I felt like it was over priced for the age. This is the only thing I could recommend for area of improvement. Regardless I would still book there again because it was comfortable.

Bathrooms are VERY small. Should have the doors opening out instead of in. Upon arrival into room there were some crumbs left on the floor. Rooms are not very sound proof. Overall room was sufficient. Bed was comfortable.

Huge room! The whirlpool tub was a decent size for two, a nice bonus for a small uptick in price. Staff was a bit frazzled but was cheerful and helpful and sincerely apologetic for delays in room readiness. Would stay again for sure!

We checked in at approximately 11:00pm - we were the only ones checking in and it took way longer than it should have. The "free" continental breakfast is a disgrace, they should NOT be able to advertise that as part of the property listing - NO coffee available, the machine was broke!?! NO other beverages available. They only has english muffins, bread or bagels - NO butter, only a few packets of jelly...VERY DISAPPOINTING! The Hot Tub was broke...Grrrr! They only has english muffins, bread or bagels - NO butter, only a few packets of jelly...VERY DISAPPOINTING! The Hot Tub was broke...Grrrr! Staff, specifically front desk was absolutely clueless to our checking in. Two other guests were also attempting to check in as well. None of us could get checked in until another staff member showed up who had a better communication skill in speaking English. Checkin process took 45 minutes and then when we entered the room it was 56 degrees with the windows frosted over and mold in the bathroom. The single cleaning woman was being verbally abused by the other two desk staff. The cleaning woman was obviously scared and we noticed that she lived in one of the rooms with her small child. This cleaning woman attempted to help securing another room for us which was equally not up to normal hotel standards. This hotel was such a disaster that we immediately proceeded to our car, disregarding the $220 room rental, and left town never returning. We agreed that returning to this hotel for the night would only cause additional stress. We use Expedia often, staying in a number of properties with equal expectations and this property forced us to leave without staying which is something we have never done.

It was a little odd that the property was adjoining the restaurant but didn't seem to be affiliated in any way. Our room was decent sized, and pretty clean overall. HVAC system was excessively noisy, even after I turned it off completely. The same could be said of the fridge in the room. Then anytime anyone in your room or adjoining rooms flushed the toilet, you heard it loud & clear for the entirety of the flush/refill. Area was very walkable & we walked to a couple restaurants while we were there & it was easy to access the bike paths as well. All in all, I'd say it was just OK. Not bad, but not great.

This place was great. They were helpful when we got there early to ride the trail and let us use the restroom in the pool area to change. They helped my wife when she was stung by a wasp on our ride and the breakfast bar was great addition to the price of the room. You can ride your bike around the back on get on the Paul Bunyan Trail very easy. We will stay here longer on our next trip.

When we were checking we were told our hotel room was at another hotel a mile up the road. I said no, I reserved a room here and confirmed the address. I told them I was not informed of a hotel change and that I could not stay at a different hotel because we had side by sides. So they put us in a room where we reserved one. Hot tub was out of order. The next day our door opens and it’s the housekeeper and she apologizes and says she didn’t know anyone was in the room because it was listed as out of order. There were pubic hairs on our toilet seat and the steps to go upstairs were filthy dirty. Then we discovered our tub didn’t drain properly. The breakfast was awful. Hard boiled eggs were like rubber, waffles didn’t cook all the way but were left in the pan the allotted time, the cereal was stale and the bagel my daughter had was stale. The coffee was decent. We’ve stayed here the last couple years and it had been nice. Woot stay here again.

We enjoyed a great evening in the pool and hot tub after having dinner at a place a few blocks away that was recommended by the front desk. We slept great in nice comfortable beds with temperature control that worked. Breakfast was hot and tasty. Will definitely stay there again, given the need to travel that way.

Nice, clean, quiet hotel with comfortable, spacious rooms and very soft beds. There was a smart TV in our room, which was a great change from the usual limited local cable of most hotels. The continental breakfast had plenty of simple options, even vegetarian and vegan options, including fresh fruit, oatmeal, and bagels. There is no cooked food like eggs, biscuits, etc... but there is a waffle maker and batter. Walker is a beautiful, vibrant, active town, even in winter, but the dining options are very limited for anyone who doesn't like heavy, Midwestern food (to no fault of the hotel). That really was my only issue with our entire stay. Overall, I would recommend staying at Walker Hotel.
