Perfect for what I needed and better than expected! I knew it would be highway adjacent, which doesn't bother me (perfect bedtime white noise). Chose it because it had a pool - the pool was chilly but the pool and its room were clean and nostalgic, and our pleasant surprise was the SAUNA! I wasn't expecting much, but it's a classic dry sauna stove with rocks, and it kicked out the heat beautifully and the sauna space smells like warm wood, just the way it should. All around tickled by friendly staff, clean rooms, useful spaces, and convenient location. Little things like a fallen towel hook didn't jam me up. I will choose this stop again!

The room was very clean and comfortable. I liked the semi-continental breakfast provided. I did not like that the indoor pool was dirty with what appeared to be paint chips floating on the bottom. Also, the men's bathroom toilet in the pool area would not flush.

We were stranded after having car broke down and decided to stay a couple more days until we got a ride home. The staff were really friendly and i felt very secure and safe. If we needed anything we were just supposed to ask. The pool was not heated.

The pool was closed, but web-site indicated it was open. AC did not work in our room. (They gave us another room). Breakfast is a granola bar and orange juice. It was clean and quiet, with a nice location, but its not worth the near premium price we paid. Price needs to be lower, or pool, AC and breakfast bar needs to be better.

Run down the breakfast was terrible and cheap they had Quaker oat bars and that was it they advertised breakfast was terrible. I'd like to get my money refunded there were also flies and bugs in the room bathroom tiles were broken and shower dirty!

Fixtures falling off walls. Stains on sheets. Dirt in the beds. Toilet seat falling off. Had two rooms both were in the same shape. Shower did not work because the faucet was calcified to only fill the tub. Wouldn’t take a bath because the tub was so dirty. Garbage stuffed in the chairs. Lady at front desk didn’t want to give us clean sheets or change our rooms. Photos of rooms condition are too large to add to review.

Sheets were stained (comforter AND bottom sheets) and there were spiders and lots of cobwebs in the room. It smelled like it was previously a smoking room and several other guests were smoking on the balcony near the room. Pillows were tiny and not comfortable.

This property did not look to bad from the outside. However once we got in side the room noticed the bathroom was really dirty, wasn’t just old it had a black ring in the toilet as if it hadn’t been washed in a long time. There were dirty smudge marks all over the inside of tub. I noticed a few dead bugs behind one of the night stands. We left and came back a couple hours later and when we stepped inside there were bugs on the bed, floor, and it wasn’t just one kind there were three different types and they were all over. We also went to the pool area prior to that and it smelled so bad and had big dark chunks in the bottom of pool, it was nasty. I can’t believe that Expedia even has this place listed on their website. It kind of ruined our trip it definitely cut it short as there are no other hotels in this town. We spoke to the counter person and he laughed saying yeah the owner needs to pay someone to get rid of the bugs. Thankfully after several communications with manager they sent us the money back for the night we didn’t stay. But they should have given full refund for the night we stayed and didn’t realize it was full of bugs. I should have went to the BBB to complain

The room was half updated with lamps and fixtures. The beds were just metal cots and the pillows were more like throw pillows. The shower was so old and the tile was rusting and very dim lighting. The floors were sandy like they were not cleaned.

Pros: friendly sfaff, affordable, clean, good water pressure in the shower Cons: was given a different room than i booked with no communication about the change and no refund for the difference in price between the rooms, the bed was super uncomfortable, and it was quite noisy - traffic noise from the nearby highway as well as other guests. Fine for a no frills, affordable one night stay.

The room was clean, however it pretty sub par. The shower and tub faucet had bad leaks. The fan/heater would make weird noises. The bed sounded like sleeping on a baking pan due to the metal (!!) base. The parking lot/highway noise was so loud and the room alarm went off at 3:45 am. Would be nice if the doors faced away from the road to help with noise. I didn’t get breakfast but my kid said it was granola bars, packaged muffins and juice/coffee (no fruit? Oatmeal? Cereal?) I couldn’t tell where all the noise was coming from (upstairs/next door/outside) but sleep was something to be desired but not attained. It didn’t feel super safe either. Maybe just people from the restaurant/bar next door making noise but it was one of the worst hotel experiences. The upsides-there was a mini fridge and microwave, plenty of hot water and no carpet, which was nice for people with allergies and pets. But the smell of strong, floral-y cleaner was really overpowering and didn’t help my sinus issues. Next time I’ll bring an eye mask, noise machine and extra blanket (the air/heat was too noisy to run)

The hotel was exactly what you expect for a 2-star hotel. There were stains on the carpet and something like a burn mark that we had to make sure to not step on because it was hard/crunchy - which I would think would be enough for them to replace the carpet in the room but I guess not. The faucet water is gross (for brushing your teeth even) and the hard water there is so bad that their toilet and shower is permanently now orange. If your neighbors are gettin groovy you will hear them. It's also by the highway so the sound of traffic is kind of loud in the morning. Everything was clean though and the bed was comfy. Heater adjusted with no issue.

My husband and I initially chose this property for the price and sauna. However, while we were there you could tell the pride they take in customer service and cleanliness. I’ll take a welcoming/friendly staff and cleanliness over new any day!!! Thank you for a great experience.

Asked for 2 queen beds, got one king bed. Asked for first floor, got 2nd floor - even though hotel was empty. Room was 50 degrees - heat was turned off - in Michigan in January. We had to wear our coats in the room for over an hour. Horrible!

It was an average hotel. I expect more for their nightly charge. The front desk guy was rude. I requested ground floor. He said can I put you on the second floor? I asked if there was an elevator. He said no. I asked if he was out of ground floor rooms? He looked at me and rolled his eyes and said no. I said that's fine just put me on the second floor. I'm not sure why I couldn't have ground floor? My knees weren't happy about the stairs.

Room missing coffee supplies & towels; made me go out in rain to get them from office. Coffee maker turned out inoperative, anyway. Then, found dead bugs in both beds and on floor, and we finally moved to another room. I asked in morning for compensation for the multiple problems and manager's response was .that I could have left in middle of night for refund, but since I stayed they would do nothing for me. Wrong answer. Problems can happen anywhere but test of management is how they respond to them. This place failed miserably. BTW, I have completed dozens of reviews and have never had to leave one like this.

Due to michigan graduation weekend i got charged like a $200/night hotel so i will review it like one. Dirty...carpets/bedding...toilet ran constantly or i had to remove back lid to flush toilet. "Breakfast" was kirkland muffins, granola bars, bottled water, juice and coffee. Very noisy due to being so close to route 23. Property is run down. If you can sleep on top of a highway and can get a room here for 50 bucks.. enjoy. staff were pleasant.

Just to clarify… there is no breakfast included, only a cereal bar, juice and coffee. There is also NO restaurant as described, however, 5 stars for Captain Joe’s Grill which was very close by!! Excellent food and service! Hotel needs to be updated and cleaned. Beds were comfortable.
