Stayed 2 nights

This hotel was under construction, something that they failed to mention in their listing or their messages leading up to my stay. What this meant was that there was NO RUNNING WATER from 10am to 4pm which became 9am to 4pm on the second day of my stay. I am no hotel connoisseur and I never leave reviews. If the room is reasonably comfortable and clean, I just need a place to crash. But I arrived late and was given a room that was 75 degrees and with barely functional air conditioning. I went downstairs after a sweaty attempt to just to go bed and the front desk initially tried to tell me they couldn't change my room because "it's the next day" i.e. 230am. I refused to go away and we tried another room (broken AC unit) and then another (weak AC and extreme heat again but I just needed to sleep so I took it). Because of the water shut-offs and my schedule for the work I was in town for, I was never able to shower. I left Minneapolis sleep-deprived and filthy thanks to this hotel. At the very least, they should've communicated in advance and during my stay about the extensive and shifting periods of water shut-off. The lack of effective/functional AC in a large chain hotel just says to me that someone is starting over with this property and doesn't care about guest experience in the meantime.

I had two problems. The room thermostat must have been broken. Was set to 60 degrees, changed it to 75. After five hours, it was still cold in the room. Set it to 78, went to bed. I was still cold when I woke up in middle of night. Changed it to 82, still so cold at checkout. Also the bathroom faucet had no hot water, tub faucet was scorching hot. Other than those issues, it was great. Clean, friendly and helpful staff at check in and out.

The building turned the water off everyday from 9AM to 10PM which was not something I was informed of when making my reservation. When the water was on it did not get warm. The hotel/manager refused to give me a discount for the inconvenience as well.
