Hi! We stayed 4 nights at this property - the staff ALWAYS said Hello when we walked through the front door and took a few minutes to conversate. We really enjoyed the adult 10-12 PM hours with the HotTub and Swimming Pool. Breakfast area was very clean and well stocked for us. We will try to book our stay here again on our next visit to Minnesota.

The rooms had a very odd smell which never cleared. Otherwise, the rooms were clean. We were not impressed with one of the staff who complained about the city, the company, and her coworkers. We were saddened by the lack of professionalism. The pool is nice, but the hot tub is decaying.

When we arrived, the parking lot was being seal coated. We were told to park in the dirt in back that was crowded and muddy. Since the hotel has a relationship with the bar across the street, it would have been nice for customers with cars to be able to use the space. Other than that, check-in was fast and the woman at the desk was polite and suggested the bar across the street for food. The room was nice, clean, and well stocked. The outlets largely worked off the wall switch by the door, so turning out the lights were from the wall switch or separate fixture switches. Breakfast was fine, though later it was not well stocked. A little tension among employees at checkout (one was training on the computer and the trainer was very short with the trainee). Overall, a nice stay, but some attention to details would be nice (temporary parking and breakfast kept current).

The pool area was dirty. There was about 15 rowdy teenagers taking up whole pool, swearing and pulling each others shorts down and splashing everyone. My little kids did not feel comfortable swimming. The hot tub also was not working. This was a huge disappointment as this was main reason for our stay. There also was no towels in pool area.

The main parking lot was blocked off due to them resurfacing so we had to park in the back on the gravel and haul all our luggage to the front doors around the building.The hot tub was barely even warm (84°F)The staff working said she "wasn't trained to adjust the temp". It also had a weird smell (we did not smell any chlorine at all) and the water was murky looking. Half the lights were off in the pool area and when someone asked to have them turned on she said everything that could be on was on. But then when I asked her minutes later, she just flipped a switch and they all turned on. No towels available until we had to ask for some. Breakfast was ok. Good variety of food, but we had to ask them to refill things that ran out twice and one of the containers holding the food was broke. Coffee was cold and almost gone by 8am. Would not stay here again.

I was disappointed with the hot tub and pool being unclean. The pool water smelled like urine. Our room was very cold set at 60 degrees and it took several hours to warm up. Walmart and server food stores are close by which was nice. But I would not stay here again.

Stayed two nights. A Fiday and a Saturday, had to have two separate bookings Expedia's system. Saturday was for my sons birthday pool party. On Friday night the hotel reeked of weed. And the hotel staff didn't seem to care. My only issue with that was other parents dropping off kids. Friday night I was informed pool and hot tub heater not working and was informed it would be up and running by Saturday. Now come Saturday and guests arrive for the pool party, only to discover someone had defecated in the pool. Pretty disappointing experience overall.

Hallway smelled like an old folks home. King suite had numerous issues that need repair. Chipped paint/sheetrock around fire alarm, patching compound smeared over hole behind door, chipping paint on ceiling, musty smell in room, soap scum ring in tub. Not what I expected for $185/night.

We had a bad experience with bedbugs in the room #204. In the daytime!!! We recorded the video and showed to the receptionist. They moved us to another room, but I cant say they expressed much empathy. The overall experience was a mix of good things and complete disappointment caused by stuff neglet and attitude.

Got a room with a jacuzzi tub. Let’s just say the cleanliness of the jacuzzi tub & the bathroom is just gross and not that clean. Hair all around the tub and then the photo frames by the jacuzzi tub have about a half inch of dust on them. Just disturbing when a jacuzzi tub should be one of the things that the housekeeper cleans real well.

When we arrived to this hotel, it looked completely different from the photos taken. They must have done "remodeling" at some point. It was extremely dark inside, and did not feel welcoming at all. It took us about 15-20 minutes to check in due to technology issues. When we went to our room, it just felt dirty and definitely needed upgrading. Again, our room did not look as clean as the pictures others have taken. It smelt musty when we entered, the shower looked well loved, just not what we were expecting. We actually left and decided not to stay the night due to our experience. Other hotels that are not too far from this once charge around the same price, so i would go elsewhere. Wish we could have gotten refunded for this stay, but havent heard back yet.

They closed the pool right when we checked in, out of the staffs control, but it was a big bummer because we had swapped hotels to have a functioning pool to relax in after a long day of travel. Trash was left in our room from previous guests, and period blood was in the wall next to the toilet upon check in. Not impressed. The front desk staff was very nice and apologetic. Front commons area clean and spacious. Just a very disappointing experience after spending over $200 to stay in a dirty room with no amenities to enjoy.

The AmericInn was incredibly dirty—old cups and giant balls of dust behind the bureaus, dirt stains on the sofa and armchairs—and our room keys had to be re-registered at least once a day. The shower didn’t drain, there was hair all over the bathroom when we arrived. It was incredibly unacceptable.

Check-in was easy and lady at the desk was very nice. The room was mostly clean. But needs new furniture. We were in town for a wedding and had no issues while staying here. The place was close to the highway (but not so close that there was traffic noise!), so it was easy to get where we needed to be. Plenty of dining options in the local area. Our room faced a wooded area, so it felt like we were on a vacation from the "urban jungle," lol. All staff we interacted with were helpful, friendly, and professional. The breakfast was decent. Would stay here again!

The room was overpriced for the condition - the heater made noise, the fridge made a gurgling noise when it was cooling, the upper lock had been broken off at some point and re-screwed on in different screw holes, damaged shower tiles & missing tiles in the hot tub. We went to breakfast with 30 minutes left and pretty much no food left…..one egg and a handful of sausage, cranberry juice was light pink.

I’m writing to express my disappointment following a recent stay at your property. The bed in my room was extremely hard and uncomfortable, making it nearly impossible to get a good night’s rest. Rather than offering any assistance or even showing concern, he remained focused on watching a sports game on his phone throughout our interaction. The staff was very aggressive toward our children. I witnessed the front desk staff scream at a child for cooking an egg in the microwave, then our kids for playing in the pool "dangerously". If you have children Do not stay here! The next morning the next front desk staff kept asking me and another guest why we would be staying in Sartell if we lived out of the area, she gave the clear impression we were not welcome. They don't seem to want guests.

am staff was very rude due to mix up about my dog (service dog with papers). when I looked up your hotel on line I checked to see if animals were allowed your site said dogs were not allowed but service dogs were welcome. I went to the manager at the front desk to let her know and she said only certain service were allowed but that my dog could stay. She then wrote in a book that she was allowing my dog to stay. the next morning two staff (Chris and a male) were waiting for me near the back door Chris told me my dog was not allowed when I told her that I spoke with the manager last night and that she approved it, Chris said that person was not her boss. I told Chris and the male that my dog was a service dog she asked me for what, I told her for anxiety Chris said that did not count. Chris didn't need to be rude, she said she wasn't, I told she was very rude. My husband and I went to breakfast and Chris and other staff members were watching me and seemed to be talking about me. They would walk close to our table and stand there talking about the food. I later went up to the desk and apologized to Chris about the misunderstanding and said the hotel was very nice and in return Chris said "your dog still isn't supposed to be here". we were big fans of Wyndham hotels, we probably won't be anymore.

I went to the manager at the front desk to let her know and she said only certain service were allowed but that my dog could stay. She then wrote in a book that she was allowing my dog to stay. the next morning two staff (Chris and a male) were waiting for me near the back door Chris told me my dog was not allowed when I told her that I spoke with the manager last night and that she approved it, Chris said that person was not her boss. I told Chris and the male that my dog was a service dog she asked me for what, I told her for anxiety Chris said that did not count. Chris didn't need to be rude, she said she wasn't, I told she was very rude. My husband and I went to breakfast and Chris and other staff members were watching me and seemed to be talking about me. They would walk close to our table and stand there talking about the food. I later went up to the desk and apologized to Chris about the misunderstanding and said the hotel was very nice and in return Chris said "your dog still isn't supposed to be here". we were big fans of Wyndham hotels, we probably won't be anymore.

If Nostradamus lived until July, 3rd 1566 I’m almost positive he would have predicted that this Americinn location in Sartell, MN would be ran down by an unprofessional employee at the front desk. I travel for work and have never left a review.. EVER! I hope this finds management or better yet the owners and they save this business by firing the, angry at the world, front desk lady. Pretty sure they know who she is (hard to miss). I feel bad for the hotel having to get hit with this review because of one employee that knows nothing about customer service but everything about everything! Ratings are crashing here fast.

The main parking lot was blocked off due to them resurfacing so we had to park in the back on the gravel and haul all our luggage to the front doors around the building.The hot tub was barely even warm (84°F)The staff working said she "wasn't trained to adjust the temp". It also had a weird smell (we did not smell any chlorine at all) and the water was murky looking. Half the lights were off in the pool area and when someone asked to have them turned on she said everything that could be on was on. But then when I asked her minutes later, she just flipped a switch and they all turned on. No towels available until we had to ask for some. Breakfast was ok. Good variety of food, but we had to ask them to refill things that ran out twice and one of the containers holding the food was broke. Coffee was cold and almost gone by 8am. Would not stay here again.

We were in town for a wedding and had no issues while staying here. The place was close to the highway (but not so close that there was traffic noise!), so it was easy to get where we needed to be. Plenty of dining options in the local area. Our room faced a wooded area, so it felt like we were on a vacation from the "urban jungle," lol. All staff we interacted with were helpful, friendly, and professional. The breakfast was decent. Would stay here again!

We have stayed at this hotel for more than 10 years, 8-12 times per year. It was always our favorite! The hotel has been steadily going downhill over the past 2-3 years. The rooms are shabby, and need updating. The end door lock was broken, so we could not get in that way from our car. The breakfasts have been terrible. Last time we stayed we went to breakfast at around 8:15. There were no eggs, no milk, no yogurt, (scrambled or boiled), no bread, no cream cheese, to name a few items they were out of. The sausages were COLD. When I went to the front desk to ask about these items, they told me they ran out and someone was going to the store to get more. (Same excuse they gave me the last time we stayed.) We checked out about an hour later, and there was still no food!! We will no longer be staying at this establishment.

Breakfast was great. Staff were very helpful. Pool was nice, maybe slightly cool, but we had fun. Hot tub was perfect, not too hot. Beds were comfortable. Shower and bathroom worked perfectly. Thank you!

We have stayed at this hotel for years and been very happy. Lately we have noticed things are starting to go downhill. We were especially disappointed by the breakfast on our last stay. We came down at 9:30 am which granted is towards the end of the breakfast period. Upgrades are looking nice, but boxes were stored in the gathering area and in the pool area reducing the space to enjoy. Breakfast was good (we got there early and choices were still available, but others arriving later had limited choices), and the location was okay. One complaint is that staff weren’t always available to answer questions, specifically the hours for breakfast or for a request for bedding for the pull out couch. There was no iron in the room but there was an ironing board. Bed was comfortable and it was a quiet nights sleep. 7/10 stars for us.
