It was everything expected for a reasonably price. Fast wifi, clean rooms and a great sized mini fridge. With a separate freezer unit, better than the expensive hotels. Pet friendly and friendly staff. We arrived late into the morning after work around 1 a.m. and staff was quick and polite to check us in. Hallways/stairways were a bit dirty, just needed a vaccuming. Overall very satisfied with the stay.

This is the only place to stay basically between Minneapolis and Rochester, Minnesota. I’m here on a Saturday night and every hotel I checked on wanted hundreds of dollars which is crazy for a night stay. I chose this place because of the decent prices. I paid $79 which it’s probably about $20 too much for this motel. There’s no bathrooms in the lobby, my room, which is on the second floor, no elevator, looked pretty good. Hard floors, nice TV and looks like a clean bathroom. Upon a little bit more inspecting, I found that the lock on the door is broken, the shower rod curtain has been recently resecured to the wall, and I noticed the pillows are disgusting. There’s stains on several of them, the other two pillows are plastic, like a hospital pillow. No good. This place definitely needs more maintenance and some upgrades like new pillows! There is a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in the room, the bed is firm, but being being a seasoned traveler I wouldn’t stay here again.

Parking was available but multiple places where kids toys were scattered around. Never saw any staff. Not much available for breakfast in fact when I got orange juice out of the dispenser I also got several fruit flies in my cup that had been around the nozzle.

I knew well that a room for about $78/night with tax may come with challenges. The area was convenient enough and Zumbrota is a nice little town. The room had nice laminate floor that was clean. I had to check the beds for bugs and happy to report that was not an issue. What was an issue was a urine stain on the sheets of one of the beds. This was really the only issue with our stay, but if the standards are that low, it made me wonder what else was not truly clean? Check in was a breeze and friendly. I'd give this place another shot to be honest, but only one more. Maybe I'm just cheap!

Smell of smoke, mold, and pet dander. We are allergic to all of that so it really hurt us on our stay. Mold growing on the window shades, mold all over the ceiling, a/c unit smell of smoke, bathroom has pet damage and smell of smoke.

Our stay was nice. The room was clean, the staff super friendly and helpful. There was something on the bedspread, I took it down to the front desk, she appologized and got me a different one. When I got back it was on that one as well. I took it back, we decided it had to be something that got in the wash because they'd been washed and looked the same. the last one had it as well, but we just didn't use. We didn't need it. Everything else was fine. Nothing fancey but meets the needs and was a great price.

Our room had mold above the window, My wife woke up with a headache from it. When we told the employee who checks people in she immediately went to work to find us another room, as we were staying two nights.

This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Everything was out-dated and worn or in disrepair. The electricity was faulty - light switch in bathroom was loose and wouldn't turn off, fuse blew out in room more than once. The heating and cooling unit also didn't work. Also the mattress was very hard and old. This place should be closed until they can repair and update everything.

It wasnt a 5 star resort by any means, but the customer service was outstanding. The gentleman working behind the counter was polite, respectful, and accomodating. He went above and beyond to help me with a flat tire. I would stay there again for that reason alone.

Check in was a bit of a nightmare. The clerk didn't know how to operate the computer well. It's supposed to be a non-smoking room and it's obviously been smoked in multiple times on a regular basis. The room just felt dirty, old, and grimy. If it weren't the only hotel in this area I would've never booked here and, quite frankly, will not be booking here again. Even at a low rate it wasn't worth it. Save your money and drive elsewhere for cleanliness.

The hotel is fine for the price. It just needs some major TLC. Fire alarm beeps on both floors, our room door only worked for one day, then both keys needed to be reset despite one being in the glove compartment of the car all day. Room had a torn up office chair, drywall holes (water damage near bath, hole where door meets wall), bathroom fan sounds like it’s dying, sink was clogged, half the lights didn’t work. Just basic home repair stuff that just isn’t being addressed, weird. Staff was nice and coffee was on before 6.

You can tell that the building is a bit old, but it is scrupulously clean. The staff is friendly and more helpful than I expected. We arrived in the middle of the night, but had no problem checking in. The location feels safe even though a bit remote from town and a really good restaurant, The Covered Bridge, is just across the parking lot. It was a great base of operations for visiting family in the area, taking in some shows at the casino, and touring the town.

Didn't use laundry, breakfast was mediocre at best. Staff was friendly, room was clean, however, bathroom tub faucet appeared to have black mold around where faucet attached to the wall. I felt that the establishment needed some serious renovations
