Comfort Inn Lees Summit - Hwy 50 & Hwy 291

We were visiting with friends. Another couple that was with us was very unhappy with their first floor room but our third floor room was ok. The beds were not the comfiest for sleeping. Lower back pain when woke up in the morning. Otherwise room was clean. Since the weather wasn't cooperating the best with us we were really hoping to be able to use the indoor pool. On Friday there was a sign on the door stating the pool was closed. The sign wasn't there Saturday evening. We went to the pool. Only one of us got in. You could not see your feet from the second step in the pool. It was so cloudy. Not sure what was going on but no way any of the rest of us were getting in there. The property itself was alright. Breakfast was your typical quick "grab a bite" and go hotel breakfast.

Hot tub apparently not working. Pool temperature too cold to use. Maintenance of room as well as modernizing facilities needs some work. Desk clerk when I checked in was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.

We checked in on NYE weekend due to plumbing issues in our home and not being able to use the water. The elevator was out, the vending machines take your money and then tell you everything is sold out and you can’t get your money back. The property is not taken care of and it’s obvious from the patched holes in the walls to the out of order laundry and elevator. The peep hole in our room was too small for the hole. The drawers in the room would not close. The towels were dingy/yellow color. Our room did not get cleaned one day even after we left. Also we had to go to front desk more than once to get our keys coded to open the doors again because they didn’t work. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

The staff hover over you when you’re trying to get breakfast. The entrance to the parking lot is all pot holes.

The condition of the building and the room was great. The parking lot of the facility was in poor condition, especially the entrance and could definitely benefit from repair. Also, the WiFi was not functioning properly. I called the phone number suggested on the sign-in page and was informed that the problem was at the location I was staying. I informed the front desk who told me they were unaware of any problem. The breakfast served was adequate but would benefit from more variety day-to-day and better quality coffee.

Ummm... outside and the lobby look amazing... room, pool...not so great. Pool is so cold it's like taking a cold shower after a night you don't want to remember, and the water is so cloudy you can't see the bottom. Don't worry about a hot tub because it's been covered by decking material. Rooms have been remodeled the cheapest way possible and lots of mold around the caulking, we can't even spend the money on fabulouso to clean that up to at least look better. If you want to sit on the toilet it doubles as a rocking chair but don't fall asleep. If you're cold you're in luck, the second bed is so close to the heater it acts as a heard blanket and warms up the blankets but remember to wake up at 2 AM to torn the heat down. All in all, it's not worth the $389 for two nights, I'd rather rent a car and sleep in it, probably be more sanitary.

It wasnt clean, the shower was spraying water into a open spot in the wall. Also pool had so much chlorine that it irritated our skin and we had to get out. We only got a room so my little one could swim. And couldn't cause the levels of chlorine was dangerous. Wont stay here again.

Pool was closed on a Saturday

The room was great but the pool was COL! And your site advertises a hot tub and there isn't one. The pool and hot tub is why we booked this hotel!

Very dirty bathroom. So loud you could hear all the movements from the rooms above.

Bed bug alert! I have been trying to get my money back since Jan 9th, 2023. I stayed one night and was bitten by bed bugs. I have documented the issue with photographs of bed bug in water and blood on a tissue. I presented both items to the front desk night custodian who was sympathetic. Ramon, the manager, was supposed to follow up but I was not issued a credit for my night's stay. I just called again today, jan 27 and Ramon was rude and hung up on me. He refused to provide information on my refund. For this reason I am leaving this review. I intend to follow up with expedia, my credit card, and Comfort Inn's home office. This is completely unacceptable. Do not stay in this hotel!!!!!!!

The staff was polite. The room was in serious disrepair as you can see by the photos. Cracks in the ceiling and floor tiles. The window was about to fall out of the building and was filthy on the inside. The bathroom was so dark it was like showering in a cave. Plus the shower head was so dirty that it was hard to take a proper shower. The"breakfast" was a complete joke. Powdered eggs and two pieces of dried out sausage. There were hard boiled eggs but you couldn't actually eat them because the handle was broken off the drawer and you couldn't open it. The location is the only thing that saved this trip.

The pool is out of order. The ceiling in the bathroom all of a sudden at 3am down poured water from upstair running the shower or tub. There was black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. The curtains were very filthy in the room. The refrigerator hadn't been defrosted in a very very long time. It also smells terrible. We were just notified by another family in our group that they received a message about bed bugs. GROSS!!!! Do your self a favor and go to the Hampton instead!!

Staff was friendly. Found mouse droppings in bathroom. Overall, will not be returning.

Room was clean for the most part, shower showed signs of mold & build up, bed was inspected this morning after woke up with bite marks from BED BUGS further inspection showed bugs on the pillows, blankets, sheets and even on mattress itself under mattress cover, room was clean to the eye

When I got to my room they were still vacuuming. The woman let me in andleft. I wrnt to use the bathroom. The dink wS dirty wit hair in it, there was firt in the bathtub and on the floor.

Hotel and Room was very dirty, I had what looked like blood stain on the current, mold and mildew in the bathroom. The carpet felt sticky and gross. Tried to cancel and move but nothing available. Would not recommend staying here

There was dirt along the bottom of the tub. There was also dirt on the toilet seat. The floor was vacuumed. The face towels had small stains on them. The bed was perfectly made up. The facility smelled fairly fresh. Staff were a bit rude at front desk. Location was convenient. I would not stay here again.

Front desk clerk face timing on speaker phone behind desk and in dining room at breakfast. Toilet squealed when flushed. Tub drained extremely slowly. All draws in room did not stay closed...even had tape on one drawer which was ineffective. Room was nice and clean and most staff was pleasant and breakfast was good.

It was conveniently located to where we needed to be. Our room was a little out dated. The bathroom lighting was less than ideal. The drawers in the TV stand were not lined up correctly and there was folded up cardboard to keeps the drawers closed as well as the drawers on the nightstand. Room 222

It was ok, not dirty, but dated - the rooms could be updated.

The property is very clean, safe and conveniently located. We have stayed at this property many times in the past, but what was a deal breaker for us this trip was hot water in the shower/tub was only available for a couple hours in the morning and the rest of the day the water was lukewarm at best. I was on my feet all day at an event and really needed that hot water to ease my end of day aching legs and feet. The bed and pillows were hard, also. We had not experienced these issues in the past so not sure what has happened at this property. We did address the hot water issue with the staff our first evening and they denied knowing anything about the problem or how to resolve it. I will probably not book this property in the future as these are important issues to personal comfort.

Location was great and overall it was pretty quiet. Beds were comfy. Huge jacuzzi bath was nice. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful; kudos to the lady who works hard to keep people fed in the morning. One minor gripe: our cardkeys stopped functioning the morning we were due to check out and the receptionist had to manually open the room door for us. Apart from this, we enjoyed our stay.

Room was as okay as it could be for having such a hands off staff. Drawers on the dresser were shimmed closed to stop them from opening on their own. The room only had dial up, no ethernet ports. Which wouldn't have been a problem if the wifi worked well, but it didn't. I had to connect my phone to my computer to share hotspot, and every 5mins the wifi would kick me off. When I attempted to ask the woman at the front desk why it wasn't working, she gave me an attitude, acted like I just didn't understand WiFi, and stated that "Nobody else had complained yet but me". So I essentially lost 3 days of work.

The light in the bathroom was very dim. It was difficult to see what I was doing. Rooms also need soundproofing. I could hear every movement of the rooms above and below me.

Good hotel. No usb ports in room. I didn’t bring a USB brick and there was none in the room just electrical plug.

You get the price you pay. Simple. The staff at the desk during night shift a rude and combative . They change how much they charge you for small things and offer no receipt. When ever you ask about why something cost you different they get rude and loud. And don’t off explanation in the fluctuating prices on things as simple as water of the same brand.

Nice, clean facility. Close to shopping and dining. Very friendly staff. Very quick check in process.

Buyer Beware!!! Recommend you to avoid this hotel like the plague the foreigners that work at this hotel are extremely rude, their english is so bad you can't even understand what is being told to you and when you asked for them to clarify, all you get is attitude. The manager at the front desk actually cussed me for trying to understand a charge... unbelievable! I have served this country with two combat tours, a veteran being cussed out by a foreigner to this country.... Completely unacceptable!! If I could I wouldn't even give this low-end hotel a one-star rating. Buyer Beware!!

The young lady that checked me in was so sweet and helpful! I walk with a cane and had a very difficult time getting to my room due to pain and luggage and she helped me to my room. That was beyond kind! It helped me so much!

I did not stay. They took my money and did not give me a room because i did not have 100 cash for a deposit after they took my money off the card for the room. Also they would not take the card i used to book the room for the deposit. They wanted cash. I am in the process of getting a refund from Expedia. Will never stay here every.

Very long check in. Couldn’t check in two rooms at once. An extra charge was assessed when paid “all tax and fees included”. Very musty smelling room.

Check in was terrible and so was check out. The attendant was rude. He didn’t tell me about breakfast or any other amenities. Our drain was clogged in the bath tub and the weekend attendant offered us a credit which we never received. She also promised a maintenance man who never came after 2 nights they finally switched our room. Never booking here again.

I was not impressed with our stay. They shut our cards off before checkout time even was! And was disrespectful when approached about not being able to get in our rooms.

The check-in process was quick and simple. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. My favorite aspect of this stay was the shower. Amazing water pressure!

The Hotel was the nicest option available in the area. Very neat and clean, nice staff and good location.

Overall our stay was ok. After waiting 35min to check in the first room they put us in was ghetto. The dresser was being held up with a wooden shiv under one side and the lamp was tore up. They got an attitude when I requested a new room. Asking, do you want your money back? This was tempting but many of the hotels were booked up for a wedding and two graduations. It was the small things that made me wish I had paid the extra money and booked at the Holiday Inn months before. The place is dated but clean. There is a pleasant scent throughout the second floor and lobby. Most of the staff are kind. The breakfast was very meh. Atleast it was free. The parking lot had a very strange man living out in his car. The clearly high man approached my daughter as we pulled into the back parking lot one night. The management did address it but it took away from our experience. We saw him the next morning too, sleeping in the same car. There was a loud softball team running in and out of the stairwell. They broke the door in the stairwell and banged on it to be opened. The beds were on the hard side of things(not their fault, apparently it’s a Comfort Inn thing). Atleast it was clean and bug free. The area is convenient right on the highway. Overall it was ok. The place needs a major renovation. I would say it was built in the 90s.

It was a great location for us.

Very reasonably priced, good breakfast and comfortable room. My car, however, was keyed (intentionally scratched) in the back parking lot. That was disappointing.

It was a convenient location to shopping and restaurants. The hotel was a good price for what the offered. The room was spacious and comfortable.

Beautiful room with a 50 inch TV very comfortable bed. Close to restaurants. A very nice day and great value

Breakfast was the typical scrambled eggs sausage, Waffles, cereals,. We only tried the eggs and sausage one day. Scrambled eggs were dry and hard like they were left overs. Coffee from the machine was horrible. I think the machine needs a clean. The hotel smelled of incense. Caused my sons allergies to flare up. We paid for queen beds but I don't believe we got them. They seemed small. After a 12 hour drive we were to tired to fight. Rooms and beds were clean. Common areas were clean. Pool was available. Keys did not work in the door for the pool. The working staff were helpful and friendly. This wasn't our first stay here but it is probably our last. The incense was to much for us and we counted on the decent breakfast to save money.

The hotel was decent and it met my expectations. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was busy both mornings, but staff did a pretty good job of making sure items were stocked. I felt like the bathroom showed its age a little (on the darker side, no exhaust fan, no stopper in the sink), but otherwise we had a nice stay.

We grabbed a room here because of a power outage at our house after the winter storm. Price was reasonable. Staff was nice. Room was comfortable and easy to get to and clean. Breakfast was hot and the woman working did great at keeping everything clean and stocked. The only thing that was a little frustrating was that the toilet would loudly run approximately every 10 minutes. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.
