Hotel was in a great location for all the tourist things. Main floor lobby and bar/restaurant updated and really nice. The room floors need some updates. Stretched and stained carpet in the halls (old but felt clean). The room was clean, comfortable, and cleaned nicely daily. The pool was a great place to rest sore legs from all the walking we did. Easy to get to - we took the Septa train from the airport (super easy - there is only one going one way from airport) to the Jefferson station which is right at Reading Terminal Market! From there it is a straight walk to hotel (15 min). We could have transferred to a different train and gotten closer to the hotel, but not worth it as it was so easy to walk there. The front desk was not very friendly, and spent a lot of their time sitting down behind the check in desk, when we stopped to ask for things that were missing from room (cups, notepad) they seemed bothered. Coming back to hotel at night you need a key to get in - 2 nights there were guests trying to get in to check in and no one at the front had noticed them (because they were sitting behind the tall check in desk) to buzz them in!

Half of the parking garage was under construction so there wasn’t nearly enough room for parking. Got a spot when we were there but then when we left to go exploring and came back at night there was nowhere to park so they shipped us to another parking garage five minutes down the road. Not too big of a fan of having to walk with my family late at night for a few blocks.Super inconvenient.

The hotel looks impressive from the lobby - modern, updated, music playing. But once you hit the elevators that disappears. The rooms are small and dated, only two of the three elevators ran the entire 5 days we were there and both running elevators would randomly have the lights for other floors come on even though no one tapped the button. The pool on the roof is nice - towels are provided. Parking was the worst experience I’ve had at a hotel. The parking garage the hotel uses is not only partially reserved by the local TV station but it’s also a public garage as well. There was no parking available when we arrived. It was coned off and we were handed a piece of paper with alternate locations (despite their own website warning us to not park off site). I had to walk in an unfamiliar city in the middle of the night by myself and leave my kids at the hotel so I could park my car 15 minutes away despite reserving a hotel that supposedly had parking. That said, close walk to Franklin sites, Liberty Bell, US Mint, Franklin Square, and other great sites.

Great place to stay. Great location, front desk was very nice and helpful, very clean, parking garage (40)per night, rooftop pool was amazing after walking around all day in the hot sun. The room was nice bed was comfy. Definitely would recommend. Very good experience.

This place is great for walking to the historical attractions in Philadelphia. A little confusion about the parking garage being valet vs self park. The rooftop pool had a great view and was just what we needed. The room was comfortable and just what we needed after a long day of walking. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

PRO: Flowers out front very pretty. Lobby seemed neat and clean. Beds were comfortable. A/C and heat worked well. Room was very quiet. Location great - close to where we needed to be. CON: housekeeping needs to be better. Straw wrapper under bed that was not ours. Dust on circular bedposts that sit on the floor. Outside every room door the carpet corners seemed very dirty/dusty. Furniture chipped amd large fabric chair was very frayed.

Stayed for two nights. Staff on reception were poor when checking in. Basically handed a room key over and left to work it out. Main reception and dining area is nice, but a front for the really poor rooms. Our room was filthy. Under beds had food and dirt on carpets. Bathroom had hairs on floor etc. Willing to tolerate it due to spending most of our time out of the hotel. However. Second night we were unable to sleep at all because of a dog left in a neighbouring room. Dog howled most of the night. Spoke to reception who had already received complaints from other guests. Did absolutely nothing about it. Policy is for no pets unless for aid. Clearly not a support dog when left unattended. Staff were appalling. Philadelphia was amazing but would definitely not stay again.

It was close to what we wanted to do while in Philadelphia, and we liked that the property had a pool. Staff was friendly and attentive, and the place was quiet. Beds were very comfortable. However, the property has aged and that was apparent in things like the worn, spotted hallway carpets and holes in the blackout curtains that led in light in the morning. Also, the hallway rugs were filthy and we found trash behind and under the beds.

Overall, this property is great for visiting the historic sites of Philadelphia. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. Our bathroom was not clean, however. In addition to needing a good sweeping and mopping, the tub had a lot of hair in the corner.

Easy on off hwy, easy onsite garage for regular cars, although very full, facility entry looks way better than actual standard size room. room cleaning needs major improvement - found empty bottles of booze and cap of something behind nightstand (could see it when laying down) super dusty all over, window sills havent been cleaned in very very long time and windows had inside hand / skin prints, outside hadnt been cleaned in forever either. Beds were comfy, sleep and shower was good. Mic said p5/not usable, small frig with freeze good. Location for historic sites visit is fantastic.

We traveled here with our toddler— we stayed for three nights. We were so happy with this hotel. It was perfectly clean, walkable to everything, and had spacious rooms. There was more than enough room for a pack-n-play beside the king bed, and we loved the extra table space to spread out. I always bring cleaning supplies when I travel to make sure my toddler has a clean environment, and I was really happy to have had completely clean paper towels upon wiping everything down. All of the staff were very friendly as well.

The staff was very friendly. The rooms were clean. At night, there was little to no noise. I did not have to use my ear plugs to sleep. The property was centrally located to the sites we wanted to see. We could walk to most of them. The only issue we had was food. The restaurant in the hotel had a breakfast buffet like all the other hotels. It wasn't good, but it wasn't bad either. The dinner menu was better. Most of the restaurants we ate at had ok food, but many had menus that we did not care for.

Room was constantly kept very clean. Clean Towels daily. Trash emptied Daily. Toiletries changed out, when used. Guest Laundry was working great. Staff was adequate. Biggest drawback was internet in the hotel was spotty at best. It would come and go all morning & evening.

Just a room for the night for us. 324 was our room number at the corner of Arch St & 4th St. Fire station on the opposite corner. Heavily traveled street. Very loud. Would not recommend that side of the hotel if urban noise is a deterrent to your sleeping ability.

Ideal location, comfortable rooms although everything is looking a bit tired. Stayed for 5 nights and housekeeping never made up the bed ? Fresh towels and coffee etc but since when did they stop making up the bed ? Bed itself was really good. Another thought was they stuck us on a rear low level room, no view except for all the air conditioning units on the roof below. Ask for a high floor !

We stayed here recently and, unfortunately, our experience didn’t meet expectations. The location is definitely a plus — it’s within walking distance of many major Philly attractions. However, the room itself was quite small and the decor felt very dated. Our biggest issue was the noise. Our room faced the street, and the windows didn’t seem to be soundproofed at all. We heard everything — traffic, buses, motorcycles, fire trucks, loud music playing outside, and groups of people gathering in front of the hotel late into the night. Had a car problem and Christopher, who worked in the front like a bellhop in maintenance guy. Bob were absolutely wonderful. They figured out the problem they fixed it and just were beyond what they needed to do to help us. I highly recommend the hotel and the staff.

My daughter and I stayed the night for a concert and the front desk folks were extremely friendly and informative about the area and the easiest way to get to and from the show. Loved our stay and I definitely recommend this hotel!

My son in Philadelphia for Temple University Orientation. We traveled from Savannah Georgia.Our stay was amazing!I would like to personally thank the hotel manager Ms.Amirah for her accommodations,professionalism and friendly service. I would to personally thank our housekeeper Ms.Evette for making sure our room was immaculate each day and her bubbly personality. I would also like to personally thank Mr. Eugene the security guard for his welcoming personality and giving information about the city. Their efforts may seen small to some but was really meaningful and appreciated for my son and I. Thank you!!!

Great place to stay. Christopher and Damon were awesome! They helped us find where we needed to go and gave wonderful suggestions. Always ready to help and. Big smile on their faces. We parked our car on the first day and walked or hop on hop off bus. Very convenient place to stay. Only wish parking was a little cheaper. Highly recommend.

Only complaint is its next to the fires station. Ambulance and fire trucks go off frequently. Obviously thats not fixable but wouldnt suggest if you have infants who are light sleepers.

Even though my room was facing a fire station with sirens blaring at all hours, I did enjoy my stay at the Wyndham Historic Philadelphia. For one, it has an excellent location, within reasonable walking distance of several historic attractions. For another, it was reasonably priced and the hospitality was much better than many other higher priced hotels I've stayed in. What I didn't like was the TV. I couldn't switch channels or adjust the volum on the remote let alone turn off the TV altogether. I dont know if it was the remote or the TV itself but it was quite frustrating to try to figure out the issue. In fact, at several times, I had to completely unplug the TV just so I could switch to another channel. Either way, my stay was pleasant enough that I would stay here again should I need to return to Philadelphia

The staff including Quay and Matt were excellent. So nice. Others at the front desk as well. Resteraunt is awful. Very limited menu. Portions very small for the average area prices. A Caesar chicken salad the size of a side salad was around $25. Other than that liked the hotel very much.

If you like the historical sites, you can’t beat this hotel’s location. A lot of nice restaurants are within a few blocks. We had a clean, spacious room on a quiet floor. We ate at the restaurant once for breakfast. It was understaffed and the service was very slow. Food was good but overpriced. Coffee on site is $4 a cup (ouch) so be prepared. Parking is an extra $40 a day, but all parking in Philly is expensive. Parking garage was safe and easy to access from the hotel.

Most of the staff were really nice. Property was a little dated but ok, though the bed didn't treat my back very well. All in all, stay was OK, location is good. Breakfast was incredibly mediocre for 20, definitely wouldn't do that again.

Didn't like that Breakfast service was advertised one way and "that deal" not available our Easter Weekend. Instead got charge $19.50/person plus taxes for a typical breakfast buffet. It was "just Ok" for me but not acceptable to my wife.

The buffet breakfast was so sad. We paid $19 each for the same quality and selection that we had the previous day for free at Holiday Inn Express. The towel rod in our bathroom was falling off the wall and the sink had been installed backwards. One of the towels had a stain mark. At checkout I asked for a receipt to verify the charges and the clerk told me that wasn’t possible since I had booked through a third travel party. I asked how I could verify the charges and she said I’d have to take it up with the third party if there were any discrepancies. Not planning on using this chain anytime soon.
