This property has been under construction for seems like over a year now. It’s at a horrible intersection that is nearly impossible to turn in or out of and the parking lot is so tight and does not have enough spaces. They consistently over book. I booked 3 reservations over the past 2 months and every single time, I e experience an issue. Even though I had a confirmation number for last night, they told me they did not receive the reservation from Expedia and could not accommodate me due to no rooms available.

Prior to booking, was not made aware that construction work was being done!!! not made aware that the gym was closed due to construction work, limited parking hardware tool was left on the pool out couch under the pillows no sheets or blankets on the pull out

This property is old and tired, going through renovation so it’s loud and messy. No bathroom in the lobby. Construction at the intersection so it’s nearly impossible to pull in or out of the parking lot!

We were not informed that the property was under re-construction, and the pool was out of service, and the room was with intermittant electrical problems and with a lot of construction noise. The staff was perfect.

I stayed one night and I felt It was the last time I will stay in this hotel. Unfortunately, I noticed several cockroaches in the room, and I was very lucky my family were not with me otherwise they would ask me to leave the hotel. I reported the cases to the front desk and she was just sorry.

Upon check in i found my room not to hilton standards. A washcloth was on the floor in the entryway of the room. After further investigation a full size bsth towel was stuffed in the toilet. After complaining to management the desk clerk became argumentative and kind of know it all blaming the prior guests of being the culprit. In doing so he admitted that housekeeping did not strip the room bedding or other duties that should have been done prior to renting the room to new guests. He did not realize that was what he was saying but it was clear to me.

This property is way over priced for what it is. Also, the property severely price gouged for move in weekend at the university. The entire property is dark, dismal, and horribly dated. The couch was covered with a thick layer of dust/dirt. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the pork Perry leaves a lot to be desired. As others have complained about, there are exorbitant fees associated with your stay, so don’t trust the listed price. It will be significantly more. I also don’t want to sign up for Hilton rewards to use WiFi.

The location is great but the bathrooms need a good cleaning. There was dust and hair in the corners. Behind the door was pretty bad. There was hair stuck in the door hinges.

Just stayed for one night. It was clean, the staff was friendly. However, kind of disappointing to know there were no mini fridges or microwaves in the room. Might’ve been an oversight on my part when booking. Was told they were doing renovations and at that time their standard rooms did not come with those items. Also, just a lot of road noise you’re at a major intersection, which also makes it very difficult to get in and out of this location.

The bathrooms are terrible. There is a sliding barn door that does not offer privacy. You could see into the bathroom even when the door was closed. Also the door to the hotel room did not make me feel safe. It did not stay closed completely.

When I arrived I was told the password for the “free” WiFi. When I logged in with the password it also required that you join the Hilton Honors program to access the WiFi. Because I didn’t want to give them all my personal information, I couldn’t access the WiFi. When I complained to the front desk at checkout, I was told if I had complained they would have given me another way to access the wifi. I felt like this was a cheap trick to get my info into their system.

Staff - The night manage was watching basketball when I arrived and I had to ask him to help me. It was 8:30. The morning manager didn’t look up, say hello, and when I asked if there was hot water for tea, I was told the other lady takes care of that. The breakfast lady was very nice. Room - Beds sloppily made. I actually smelled the pillows to make certain the cases were clean. No lotion in the pump in bathroom. Nice hot water. Biggest issues (1) the thermostat is overridden by a management program. You can put it on whatever you want but wake up in the middle of the night and it will be HOT and (2) you will wake up in the middle of the night because light pours in through the window. It creates a wide halo around the edge of the blind because they do not overlap the window.

We liked staying here because our main reason for choosing to go to Starkville was to tour the campus at Mississippi State. That was easily done from the Hampton Inn.

Saturday morning we tried to go down for breakfast at about 830. They seemed very unprepared for breakfast. The eggs and potatoes were small pans and were empty. The waffle batter was overflowing everywhere and there was one young man who looked like he was working alone and trying his best to keep up. Sunday morning seemed better organized.

The staff was very friendly, pleasant and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and clean, but didn't have a mini fridge or room safe. The breakfast had a nice variety of options, although some of the upholstered seating was a bit stained. Convenient location for moving my son into his apartment.

Hair in shower on wall (I rinsed off) no holder for toilet paper, walked in nobody at the desk (waited 5 or more minutes and a gentleman came from the back eating food) was charged different fee than quoted on Travelocity (was told security deposit was added and would be credited back?) out of coffee Sunday morning (only one person running the breakfast area and was very overwhelmed trying to keep up with everything…so not her fault)
