It was a nice enough hotel for the price, but there were a few maintenance issues: the bathroom faucet was missing an aerator so the water would come flying out of the spout and splash all over, the toilet wouldn't refill with water about 1/2 of the time after it was flushed so you had to remove the tank cover to fix it each time, the shower door didn't close all the way, there was no water in the workout room, one of the elevators broke down during our two week stay. Overall, a decent hotel for the price, but they could do a better job with maintenance.

I specifically chose this hotel for their indoor pool, and my family and I were very unhappy to discover the pool was closed when we checked in. Our hotel room was better than expected, with two full rooms that included a locking door to the bedroom. The desk clerk working at check out Friday morning was the most amazing woman and made my sons day with her generosity.

Hotel was modern, clean, comfortable & in a great location. Pool was closed for renovation, which wasn't noted on their website when I booked and was highly disappointing for our children, but the staff was amazing and the food at the bar was delicious!

Room was not clean, no ice available on any floor, daily service was incomplete. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

First, the positive. The hotel was clean. The room was comfortable. The pillows plush. There were three sets of couples that came to stay. We chose this hotel because it was close to where we were going to a Christmas party, and because it had a bar. When we checked in, we were told the bar would be open from 5 PM until 11 PM. After the Christmas party, we went back to sit at the bar for a nightcap. The bar was not open. The man at the front desk said that it had not been opened at all. The lobby was full of people there to socialize, etc. It was extremely disappointing that the bar was never opened. We did not eat breakfast because we did not want to pay extra for the breakfast. They do have coffee in the lobby, however, when we went to get coffee, it was completely empty.

My husband and I liked the property's central location to most nearby amenities. Our room was another matter, unfortunately. We had to be moved to another room after finding someone else's blood stains on our bedsheets! Also, our reservation included breakfast. On Day 1, one of the staff advised us that only the continental portion of the breakfast was included with our stay. When we returned for breakfast on our check-out day, a different staff member on duty advised non of the breakfast was included, at which point we just left. Finding blood stains on our sheets and negative service during breakfast from some of the staff are why this stay was rated just "average."

Window blinds broken - either fully open or thrown over valance to let light in. Toilet not secured and difficult to flush with normal pressure on handle. sink plumbing disconnected under sink - water on floor when sink used. wallpaper repairs in squares that werent properly adhered.

The water pressure was terrible. While in the shower, the water completely stopped. We were on the 6th, I would expect lower pressure. But it was just a trickle our entire stay. Front desk was no help and very rude.

Also, the water pressure was horrible… Went from a dribble to absolutely nothing. Not sure what the issue was there… But it definitely affects your stay.

We were on the 3rd floor and there were little ants on the bed and in the bathroom. I told the person at the front desk and she said they come in because of the weather. Nope, no excuse for ants.

This hotel is very clean, the staff is friendly, and the beds are comfortable. However, a good night’s sleep is practically impossible to have at this hotel. First, there are no black out curtains on the windows so all the light from the parking lot fills the room all night long. Additionally, there does not seem to be anyone at the front desk throughout the night. At 2:30 am there were two people right outside the front lobby doors talking and yelling very loudly with another person sitting in a running car. This just happened to be right under our window so the noise woke us up. After listening to the yelling for 1/2 an hour, I tried calling the front desk to ask them to tell the people to keep it down, but there was no answer. We were in town for a high school wrestling tournament and there were many, many teenage boys staying in the hotel which I figured would make the stay a noisy one. Turns out all the boys were extremely well behaved. It was the random adults staying at the hotel that caused the problems. I thought it was very odd not to be able to contact anyone at the property if there were problems in the middle of the night.

We stayed here on a busy weekend and paid a very high price for a below average hotel. There are much nicer hotels within a half mile. This place needs an update.

Great facility. Wi Fi didn't work initially when we first arrived but was functioning well when we returned at he end of the evening. The water pressure in our shower was low but I survived.

The location is great and it’s roomy

I was able to check in a little early so that was very much appreciated. Very spacious room. Bathroom was well stocked with essentials and towels. The only minor gripe is the sliding shower door would come open when trying to shower. A major gripe I have is around midnight or so the AC in the room out of nowhere just stopped working. Being the time of night it was, I didn’t call front desk for help. However, being on the 5th floor, it didn’t take long for it to get uncomfortably hot. The bed was comfy, unfortunately I couldn’t get under the covers as it was way too hot. I tried to just fall asleep and deal with it but after waking up uncomfortable a second time at 5:30A, I just decided to check out early and go home. The (not so) funny thing? As I was zipping up my bag and walking out, the AC kicked on. It was close to 6AM at that point so I’m not sure if there’s some sort of setting where it turns off overnight or if I was just unlucky. At any rate, be aware of that if considering staying here. I read reviews before booking that mentioned AC issues but I dismissed and chanced it. It’s unfortunate that happened because it turned a B+ experience into a D.

This is the worst hotel that I ever stayed in. There are 3 issues: 1. They are terribly understaffed. Ever now and then you see a sign on the reception desk saying “staff is out helping other customer and will be back soon”. We had to wait about 20 minutes before someone showed up to check us in. 2. Extremely noisy. The AC unit roared like a plane engine all night long. Even after I turned it off, other noise would come from the elevator right next to our room. We can’t sleep at all because of the noise’s. 3. Bad smoking smell in the room. The conclusion: I will not deal with IHS nor holiday inn at all in the future!

The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quiet and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was also delicious! I would absolutely stay here again if I’m in Raleigh!

The room and hotel itself were lovely. Great little bar and breakfast had great options. Hite on a great location. Best bed so comfy and location nice and quiet from traffic. Definitely business friendly. I would’ve given the property five stars but we had an incident at arrival that caused concern. We called the hotel three times in advance of arrival indicating we wouldn’t be arriving until after midnight. Left my phone number for anyone to call. Arrived at property at 2:30 am and told our room had been cancelled. Audit running and can’t check in. Front desk said they had no idea if we were coming or not. We sat in lobby 30 min until audit done and we could check in. Fortunately our room was available as we had booked a second night as well. They didn’t charge us for that first missed night but had someone called us to inquire if we were still coming which we said we would be there after midnight, they could have charged our card and let us check in on arrival after five hours of driving and not made us sit in the lobby. We almost were going to leave to find another hotel but the audit finished. The clerk at the desk was snappy but we let the hotel know we would be late. My guy almost lost it with the clerk as we didn’t deserve the attitude. That said, hotel staff overall are great. Would definitely stay again but just arrive earlier. Great hotel overall!

Fast and friendly check in

Everyone was so warm and welcoming upon check-in. Also check-in was very smooth. The room was clean.

They did not show reservation and had to wait over an hour and a half with confirmation # and no call to 3rd party service

Decent stay. Stayed for two nights. A few hours after check out I realized that I left my clothes in the top drawer so I called the hotel. After a bit of time on hold, I was told that housekeeping would have to call me in the morning. Well, no call the next morning so I called at noon. No one answered the front desk phone. Called back 5 TIMES throughout the day until someone finally answered at 4pm. Put on hold again and then told that no one could find my items in the room (same person I spoke with the day before). Whoever is at the desk (gentleman) in the afternoon has poor customer service and communication skills.

I am extremely pleased with my stay at this Holiday Inn property. The front desk staff was courteous and knowledgeable about the surrounding Raleigh and Cary areas. I received a greeting and smile upon arrival and departure each day. I will certainly make plans to choose this property again! Thank you to the staff for your hospitality!

The room was quiet, clean, and safe for a solo traveler with dining options available within a 5-minute drive. The hotel is conveniently located near PNC Arena.

Great location affordable and clean

This is one of of my go-to hotels for a reason. The bed is comfortable. It is close to restaurants and shopping. The area is quiet and not super busy. One of the perks that I like is they already have a portion of your toiletries stocked in your room. Forgot your body wash? Left your shampoo and conditioner? Forgot your lotion? No worries. And its not the cheap stuff. This is a great place to relax and unwind. Even when I need a bit more room and go for the suite.

I have never stayed at a Holiday Inn Hotel or any hotel for that matter where the price for the stay did not include breakfast.

Room was clean enough. It wasn't 5 star, but it was not dirty. Bed was comfortable and fluffed pillows. Our TV quit working, and it took a little while to get someone to come up and fix the situation. I figured it out on my own and someone brought me a fresh remote and we were able to make things function. Quality of the paid breakfast was not great. It was fine, but not a huge variety of foods, and the food was mushy when we came down at 8:00am to eat. (Breakfast ended at 10:00am). Staff was very polite and accommodating.

I loved the breakfast buffet. It was fantastic. Everything you could want to eat and the coffee was fresh ground for each cup. The server was so sweet and helpful. She was a pleasure to greet each morning. The front desk clerk was very helpful and cheerful. The room was great. Very clean and roomy. Loved the soft bed.

$15 breakfast ! Not worth the cost Otherwise great

The first thing that I noticed was that there was a strand of hair on the table next to the chair. Second disappointment was went to order something to eat, and no one was available to take the order. The cook/chef didn't show. Had to order out!

Hotel was nice. It was easy to get around the area. Only bad thing was having to go somewhere else for breakfast due to $13 per person charge.
