Web site shows outside pool. Selected this hotel because of the nice looking pool. Checked in to see the pool still had cover over it. Asked about it and was told they are renovating it. This is June 22!! Really??

Regular and bold coffee was extremely weak. Several guest made the same comment 2 days. No ice in ice machines and person on desk request we find it on another after checking 2 machines Breakfast was mediocre at best

Shower control needed attention, shower didn't drain well, bed was worn out. 1 working ice machine for a 4 story hotel. Plenty of weed being smoked in a non-smoking hotel. Breakfast was poor for a Hampton Inn..cold powdered eggs, greasy sausage patties and cold potatoes. Outside grounds were unkept and full of trash.

I could write a list of what was wrong/dirty in our room and hotel, but for some reason we still enjoyed being there. Big thing I’d say is open your pool and create a beautiful outdoor space! It has wonderful potential, yet it’s sitting there derelict.

We booked the stay because website indicated has a pool. Pool hasn’t been open for over a year. Also they never cleaned the Room . Tried to cancel reservation and stay. Tried to speak with hotel manager, but never got a call back. Planning to dispute charges on my credit card

Nice rooms . Very comfortable beds . Staff was very nice . Continental breakfast was also a good start to the day . Our only issue was upon checkout we had been 7.74 on our credit card . We were told by the front desk person it was a fee that was charged to each room to maintain the parking lot . We were like …>what. My sister and I both asked for the charge to be removed by the manager . We were told it’s in print somewhere on the website . That my be true , but who reads every little item of the book that’s on a site . If the hotel needs parking maintenance money , it should be included in the hotel fee and not appear as a ridiculous chrge at checkout .

Honestly, one of the dirtier hotels I've ever stayed in. Was not expecting Ritz quality for $160/night, but my restroom had a patch in the ceiling that was never taped and painted over (exposed screws and seams), the bathtub had a hole smashed in it with a bunch of caulk to conceal it. The toilet had a lose bolt and would rock on the wax seal (surprised it didnt leak on the floor). Overall, it did what it needed, but will never be staying there again.

I was disappointed in this Hampton Inn property. There was black mold around the tub and they tried to hide it by caulking over it. But it was still at the bottom of the caulking in several places. This H Inn property is very outdated but more concerned about the mold. I will call today for compensation

I like the location of the hotel but unfortunately that was all. The rooms are outdated and lack cleanliness. The bathroom had no ventilation so it has built mold in the ceiling and walls. The bathroom did not have toilet paper. When I called the front desk I was directed to visit the front desk within 10-15 minutes to obtain toilet paper which should already been in the room for guests. When i finally visited the front desk I was handed half of a half roll of toilet paper. Per the front desk personnel they are awaiting a shipment and was firced to grab the roll from an unoccupied room. Throughout the night and morning hours all you hear is slamming doors. I will not recommend nor will I ever stay here again!

Although the hotel was clean, the shower in our room wouldn't drain properly. I had to keep turning off the water so it would drain and cover my feet. The sink also drained slow. I will say that the front desk lady was very welcoming and kind to us. We only stayed one night so we didn't make a fuss about the slow drains.

Shower and sink didnt drain properly. Had to shower and take a bath at sane time. Interior is outdated. Corners of walls peeling and carpet chewed up. Ac is super loud. Toilet woke everyone up when flushed from being so loud. Not worth over $100 a night.

The property is in a nice area and staff there seem professional and friendly.Breakfast had a great selection. However the rooms are dates, furniture needs to be upgraded, the bathroom had cracks and holes. The bottom of toilet is rusted. This room has a cost of $169 and is certainly not worth that much.

Property needs an update. Furniture in room was worn and not up to Hilton Standards. Last night of my stay I was up and down from the noise inside and outside of the property. If the room had not been booked by employer I would have left the property in the middle of the night and found another.

The room had a hair dryer that was covered in something like hairspray and sticky. We let the front desk know, they told us they'd replace it, but didn't (we stayed 2 more days). The room was smaller than used when staying in similar accommodations. On the positive side, the front desk was very courteous in every interaction during the trip.

I arrived at 22 and there was no one at the front desk. I waited for 15 minutes and left the place. There was no contact option (bell). The group sat in the lobby felt uncomfortable for me.

The first two rooms I was given had issues with their AC/heater units. The service at the hotel was very good, as they finally got me reassigned to a room that did not have a defective unit. Dylan was especially helpful, and I appreciate that. The overall statement met my expectations of Hampton Inn.

The toilet was clogged when we arrived and overflowed twice during our stay, both times we were offered a plunger. When we stated we were not plunging the toilet ourselves, we received back talk and attitude. I was very appalled at the unprofessionalism of the front desk staff!

Requested a room with 2 beds and a sofa bed. When we got there, there wasn't one. No room service. Asked foe extra towels and for the trash to be gathered and enough towels for a week were left in a bag outside the door. No garbage picked up.No cups in the room for coffee.

This site was close to where I needed to be for my class. This property looks like they are doing repairs from a water leak problem in the bathrooms. They did not take out my trash from my room, but I guess I was to ask for that. I am surprised as when I worked for the Hampton Inn that was my job. I was told to take out the trash, make the bed, and wipe down the bathroom. I did not get that service.

The area around the hotel was fine, it was close to Downtown Matthews. The hotel was easy to check-in to using the Hilton App. The room had ripped carpet right in front of the entry door. Possible tripping hazard for those using a walking assistance device. The room had an odor consistent with something being wet and souring. Since I was traveling alone, it did not bother me to the point to request a different room. Though I would have if my spouse had been with me. I most likely will not stay at this location or chain again. I usually stay at other Hilton properties (Double-Tree or Embassy Suites) with a much better experience. Based on this stay, I would not reommend this place to a friend.

There is nothing outstanding to say about this hotel. the lobby was clean but dreary. In the room, the carpet was black and brown and again dreary. There was nothing cheery about the hotel. Inside the room, the bed was lumpy and very uncomfortable. I was disappointed in the breakfast, since there was limited hot items and those available were egg fratatta with hot peppers inside and the sausage was also spicy. However, there were other cold items available and coffee and tea were available in the lobby all day and the staff were pleasant and helpful. I I'd say a little more attention to detail in the hotel would improve it.
