Stayed a few times before. Friendly front staff. Those times was a Good bkft, real eggs. This visit, bath towels were not clean (hairs on all), floors sticky, breakfast meats were undercooked and no bananas. Not as good as before. Hot water (reservoir container issue?) was not clear and had to ask for that. Again, staff very accommodating. Ice inconvenient on 3 rd floor. May reconsider next trip.

The property was great except the pool. It is in need of care. Umbrellas torn and hanging, pool and surrounding are is not great. Otherwise it was great! Breakfast, staff and room were nice. So if you don’t care about using the pool go for it!

1. Cleanliness is either lacking or non-existent. The hallway carpet smelled really bad, and needed to be cleaned. My hotel room had many obvious signs that it hadn't been cleaned prior to my stay (a paper wrapper was left under my sink, the tub had dirt stains and short pieces of hair, the air conditioner was caked with dirt, etc ) The breakfast buffet area clearly hadn't been cleaned in some time. There was accumulated dirt and crumbs and fingerprints on everything. 2. I was not happy that the only icemaker was on the 3rd floor. 3. I must mention the bad attitude of the guy who was supposed to be stocking the buffet. He kept this angry look on his face the whole time, and actually prepared himself a plate of food while we were waiting for him to refill the buffet!

Overall our stay was very good. Nice room and bathroom, very good breakfast choices, helpful staff. However, the vinyl tile floor in the room was in terrible need of some serious mopping. Because the floor is a dark vinyl, it did not appear dirty, but it waa very dirty. It soiled/stained our clean socks and feet from walking on it.

Room was dirty. Bottom of shower floor was rusted and their was a big hole under the sink where the drain came out of the sink. The microwave was dirty and all rusty at the bottom. The carpets was stained. All of the bottles that were left in the room of shampoo conditioner and body wash were all empty.

We stay at various Holiday Inn Express properties in different locations. Although it was mostly okay, there was one issue that we brought to the front desk and manager. The floors in our room were FILTHY! Not just dirty, filthy. I really feel that the staff there needs an education on hotel room sanitation. I absolutely feel that we should receive some compensation for this disgusting, unsanitary inconvenience.

Overall good. Only one roll of toilet paper for four adults wasn’t efficient. Accessible room did have great bathroom with rails for toilet and roll in shower with seat. However beds were too high for handicapped person and seating was not sufficient either. Just a rolling desk chair & a chair that dropped 3-4 inches when you set in it. Over all it was convenient & clean.

This was the worst experience ever. We were treated so unfairly and mistaken for guests who was making noise and was asked to leave the hotel and we hadn’t unpacked or done anything to make any noise at all. The cops were even called on us and were asked to leave the property. Ruined my Mother’s Day weekend. If I ever come to Morehead again I will not be staying there again.
