Days Inn by Wyndham Weldon Roanoke Rapids

We booked a room and when booking it said a pool was on the property. When we got there the heat index was 107 degree and sunny. I ask the manager how to get to the pool. He informed me the pool was cloaed due to heavy rain that week. I was very very disappointed for our granddaughter was excited about swimming after riding for 6 hours straight in a car.

The only issue was the pool was closed.

Did not have enough towels for the number of people staying in the room. No one was at the front desk when we went to ask for additional towels. Room in need of updating, especially in the bathroom. Barely any food at breakfast time. Pool was covered and not accessible.

Not a horrible hotel. Fairly clean. One rude lady at the desk when checking out. But other staff were great. It advertised having a pool but the pool obviously hasnt been open in years

The room was clean but the only lounge chair was in terrible condition with dirty stains and the seat was sagged and seemed broken. The breakfast was much less than similar moderately priced motels. The pool was under construction. It looked like it may never be back in repair. The double lock on our door would not latch. All in all, I would NOT recommend.

Neither ice machine working. Nobody @ the office for either check in or out. When they finally appeared they didn't seem to give a darn that i was kept waiting & wondering. Almost nonfunctional tv remote. Phone in my room was broken. Blackout curtain didn't block much of the super bright light from outside from getting in.

We reserved this hotel for the pool since we knew kids needed to burn some energy after a long day in the car. We learned pool was closed for the summer after checking in!

I can understand people complaining about some of the amenities since the property is around 25 years old and still has I’m the original furniture. As far as the bugs cockroaches well it’s in Carolina and if you leave the door open for just a few minutes your bound to have these critters come in! Overall ok clean breakfast was at the limit ok… Very large 3 building facility which seems to cater to overnighters or local construction workers and believe there’s a ton of them given the massive highway construction going on for a few more years to come. They will likely be always sold out because of that. So forget the fresher look for many many years to come! Ok as a one nighter as long as it’s around the $100 cdn price. Otherwise look elsewhere

no ice available, nothing to drink, anything with. Would not recommend this Days Inn, to anyone. Floors very dirty. Empty ice cream cups, in freezer. Picture very deceiving. Staff very friendly and we were appreciative, of that!

The room was not clean. Plastic bag on the floor when we entered the room. Gnats were inside the room all over. The bed was prepared with extra wrinkled pillow cases and sheets. The door did not close properly with a gap at the top. The carpet smelled and was extra dirty. Room 201 is a disaster. I have never complained about the conditions before at a Hotel but they were atrocious here.

This was our 3rd hotel in weldon in 3 yrs, and the only one we will come back to. For affordable hotels this stay was excellent, staff was very nice. I think it is on older hotel but updated and clean.

it was far from clean. Spider webs adorned the windows, and the AC unit—seemingly maintained only from the offices—was coated with dust. The toilet bowl had clearly not been cleaned properly, sporting a distinct stain, and the bathtub featured rusty spots. It was reminiscent of that run-down hotel next door that we used to frequent.

Our room smelled of cigarette smoke and our bathroom toilet seat had stains on it. The bathtub had either black pubic hair or chest hair on it. Didn’t inspect closely. There was a gap in the door that you could see straight outside. It serve the purpose for a place to rest our heads for a few hours. It needs a complete overhaul. I would not stay here again.

The hotel is conveniently located right off I95. It’s a reasonably priced hotel to sleep for the night. Front desk staff is friendly. Rooms are clean

Checked in then checked right back out. Roaches in the room.

Bathroom was not clean, there was an odor of sulfur that just wouldn’t go away. People we loud outside and above us. It was just not worth the money.

Hair everywhere. Place didn’t look clean at all. Fake eye lashes in the tub. I couldn’t even take a shower. Called front desk plenty of times no answer. Cigarette butts all over the ground outside the room. Place is disgusting. Not worth saving money.

What a dirty place! Stained towels, gross rooms. Bugs and dirt. We slept in our clothes

Various sheets and towels dirty with stains of different colors. Stains on the walls some were clearly guts of bugs that got smashed on the wall and the staff fails to clean it and other stains looked like boogers someone wiped on the walls. Shower faucet was loose as well as the shower handle with big gaping hole behind it no telling what could come and go from the hole. Front door wouldn't lock properly leaving us to rely on the latch lock. We ended up buying a towel and bath clothes from a bear Walmart because that felt safer than using rags with stains on them. We legit didn't want to touch anything we slept nearly fully clothed and didn't want our skin touching much. Shower floor was dirty as well as our toilet seat upon entering. My wife took a rag to wipe the toilet seat off and the color was yellow of whatever stained the seat. Obviously pee that wasn't cleaned before we rented the room. It's obvious these people just make the beds and fold the towels because there's no way they wash their sheets and towels with the amount of stains on each set. A cousin stayed in another room and said to me that he peeled the main sheet back and what was under was simply horrifying. He described different color stains and textures and it made him sleep on one side of the bed FULLY CLOTHED. Days inn used to be decent but this was just horrible and I will be contacting corporate because they need to know what's going on under their franchise name. Not a good look.

It was clean, updated, near the highway, and though the bed was firm, it was still very comfortable; it also allows pets, which was the main reason we booked it (for $15 fee); at least where we stayed in building 1, it seemed updated and clean. The hot breakfast included eggs, sausage, waffles, and fruit, so it was also pretty good. Overall, I would stay here again, especially in building 1. The long term guests seem to stay in the further buildings, as a few were sitting in chairs drinking and watching people, which would have made me uncomfortable if i was a solo female traveler, but with an additional person to share the space with, i felt safe and comfortable in the room. The AC wasn't the best, but that's really my one complaint. I would definitely stay here again, especially while driving through for a night.

It was perfectly ok. The staff was friendly and helpful. I did not like that there was not a coffee maker in the room. Coffee was abailable in the lobby.

I checked in on a Saturday at 3:00 pm. The housekeeping staff was just finishing up. I think the staff did all they could to make things right and the room was fine. Over the next 11 hours, people checked into their rooms in very noisy fashion waking me repeatedly until the last guest screaming outside my door at 2:00 am. This was not the hotel's fault but was the last straw for me. I checked out and hit Rt-95 at 2:20 am.

Its fine. It was clean. The cleaning lady was nice. I stood at the counter for almost 10 min wanting for someone to come out. The door to my room wouldn't securely close. Even with the deadbolt secured the door would not seat correctly.

I went to the first room and couldn’t lock the door. Got another room and the lock barely connected. I ended up barricading the door because I was so tired.

It's kind of old and the walls are thin

The furnishings were old and dirty. The floors in bathrooms were dirty. Although advertised internet, there was none available. There was no coffee maker in the room.

Room was perfect. Everything was clean and in working order. Unfortunately, guests next door had loud grilling parties every night until midnight. Made it impossible to sleep. We were working 12 hour shifts, getting up at 4am every morning. I complained to management who said they will take care of it, but nothing changed. I didn't want to confront these people, being afraid of retaliation to our vehicle. I realize this was not the motels fault, but it made what should have been a comfortable stay completely miserable.

Crappy to non-existent internet. Lobby smelled like a chemical factory.. broken toilet lids

We were disappointed that there no coffee pot in the room and to go outside to walk to front desk to get a cup of coffee...we were also disappointed that the was no waffle maker with the so call hot breakfast.. there was no where to hang our clothes and coats...nothing....but it was a clean hotel but would have loved it better with a coffee pot and somewhere to hang out clothes that was on hangers

Staff was friendly and helpful.

I paid for my room through hotels.com and the hotel charged me again. He couldn’t find my reservation (even after I showed him my confirmation. He acted like he found it but he apparently just gave me a room like I walked in. There seem to be a lot of people living at the hotel. Cleaning staff were super nice, lobby staff couldn't be more rude.

The manager was disrespectful. The had no sheets to replace their old ones or towels. The lundry room was nasty as hell dirt in every corner. Breaken washer and dryer

The check in staff was excellent, he was very helpful, friendly and efficient, which we appreciated. The room was excellent, comfortable, clean, roomy, updated and stylish. Breakfast was very good. The location was perfect for traveling, right off 95. We highly recommended it.

Yes. The room was spotless, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Some of the other guests were NOT acting respectfully by sitting in their cars playing loud music and running the engine past MIDNIGHT. Perhaps there are people like this everywhere now and having them close by is inevitable. Still, my stay was good and I recommend this hotel. :)

When I checked in the man at the desk gave me two beds And told me it was an adjoining room. Reservation was to be one king size bed.I ordered from a delivery service.When they arrived they were followed in by the police. A gentleman got out of his car with my food in his hand I was a little suspicious because my delivery driver was supposed to be a female. I took my food went in my Room and lock the door with the two locks that were provided. Before it got dark I walked my dog when I went to unlock the door and open it I noticed that The one lock did not Lock. I walked my dog came back Closed the door It did not lock. I had to push on the door with my full body Weight to ensure that it locked properly. There were younger males blasting music. They were not hotel guests.They were visiting other guests above my room. It sounded like people were being body slammed in the room above me.I was praying this did not last all night.I needed to get sleep. Eventually I passed out from exhaustion from driving twelve hours. I woke up at 4 AM to get back on the road to drive home. Within five hours of leaving I realized I left something behind. I called my sister And asked her to call the hotel because I was Driving. She called me back and Said someone would call me. I called the hotel 2 days later, they were still looking for the item. They called Two days later, they are still looking. I called them back Seven days after I checked out and was told they did not find the item. I hones

We have been coming to this locations for years. The manager at night is an awesome person. He has always been supportive and helpful to meet our every need. The caretakers of the rooms are also fantastic, very polite and helpful. My only suggestion is to bring back the waffle machine during breakfast hours.

Good lication

The rooms were in three different buildings which is fine but there was a man in a motorized wheelchair that followed us down to our building/room and then hung around. Workers had their boots outside all their rooms and woke to leave really early and noisily. Not the best area so did not safe leaving the room without my husband. There was a mop and dust rag on our table in the room. Definitely needs an overhaul.

it didn't seem safe. There was a lot of people outside drinking alcohol and just people standing on the balconies. In front of our room, and it just wasn't a good vibe to bring our three children

No issue at check in. Clerk was nice enough. The room looked clean but there was a dead roach on the bathroom floor. The lock on our door only caught when the door was slammed. We did push a chair in front of the door once inside. We didn't get to our room until 11pm due to a late event. There were several men hanging around the parking lot when we pulled in. Four men were standing right outside our room drinking beer, slamming bottles around and talking loud until 2am. Breakfast was egg rounds, and sausage patties sitting in water/juices in the warming tray. Bread, bagels, muffins, yogurt, cereal and apples were also available. No issues with checking out. Would not stay there again.

The hotel was near the I-95 so it was convenient for a stopover. Check in was great. Unfortunately the bathtub couldn't be used because the shower spigot was stuck on shower only. Breakfast was included but the coffee machine was out of order.

Staff was pleasant and room was nice. Breakfast needs improvement. Breakfast is from 6:30 -9:30am and by 7:30am most of the food had ran out and no one there to replace.

Coffee and juice machine was not working.

Great stay! Rooms are a nice size and comfortable. Staff is cool. Hot breakfast is/was available however, all the drink machines were down and no one knew but the person who placed the signs on them lol. I need coffee in the morning and had to go somewhere else to get it so that's the 4 star.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Free breakfast was minimal, since some items (eggs and sausage) were gone by 7:30 am and never refilled. Staff was very slow to come to registration counter - making you wonder if they are understaffed in the morning.
