This hotel was quiet, very clean and comfortable. However the rooms are in desperate need of updating. The bathtub showed wear along with old cigarette burns and scars, the carpet was starting to look threadbare. The room was scrupulously clean, it is just old. And by scrupulously clean, there was no dust behind the dresser the tv sat on. I know because I dropped something behind it and had to look. The only thing I found frustrating was lack of electrical outlets to plug chargers into. I managed because I carry a surge protector power strip with me for such eventualities. Yes, I would stay there again! I used the guest laundry and it was very clean also and reasonably priced as I washed & dried a load for less than $5 including laundry detergent.

Great Staff!! Nice, Clean & Cozy! I’d suggest for sure, other inns tend to be ran down and weird staff but these guys, very professional. The A/C has wifi, keys work, wifi is strong, etc.. And I could of just said these two words from the beginning but… HEATED POOL. Very surprised. Highly recommend over any other inn

Pool heat was fabulous. We have been going for many ywars and it slowly declined to this it was very unkept. It wasin poor repair now saddly. The food area was messy.

Literally the only thing we liked was the warm temperature of the pool even though it’s in a super awkward location with a main entrance *that doesn’t lock* feet away. Pool was disgusting dirty, room was dirty, staff was less than interested in helping us, breakfast was very limited, bed was hard as a rock, heater was so old and stunk, side doors were not locked so not very secure, very over priced for what we expected!!! Will not stay again!

When we walked in the room smelt like cigarettes, multiple things did not seem clean such as counters, bed sheets, bath tub. The side door to get into the building didn’t have a lock so anyone could get in at anytime.

The hotel looked charming and well cared for in the pictures. In reality, not so much. I understand hotels get rundown and I’ve stayed in plenty older, aged hotels over the years. Unfortunately l, I don’t believe that’s an excuse for uncleanliness. Our room had remnants of a tomato being thrown at the wall, seeds and all. When we followed the red stain trail down the wall and looked behind the desk we could see the black dried out tomato. The stain had clearly been ignored during many cleanings. The carpet had definitely not been vacuumed for several stays. My phone stuck to the nightstand due to some sticky substance covering it. The shower had a mound of someone’s hair plugging the drain. So the shower was definitely not cleaned between patrons. Thankfully the bedding appeared clean and changed from the last stay. The mattresses though were very lumpy and you had sleep almost sideways to keep from rolling out. We chose not to try the breakfast because the state of our room. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. I feel bad sharing our experience because of how nice they were but I will never stay here again because it needs a severe deep clean.

I have worked in the Hotel industry as a supervisor of cleaning staff. this hotel is dated we went to check in and checked out immediately. As we walked up the stairs it was filthy the pool was murky. once inside the room I pulled back the dated comforter which was dirty and sheets had blood and nose pickings on sheet. the screen was black with cobwebs and bugs in tracking. Room smelled mouldy. I would fire every cleaner in there and hire new staff with training on how to clean. I’m surprised anyone would even stay there at 491.00 a night is unbelievable. The only plus when I spoke to the man at the desk he was understanding and credited my account back. Sorry but this hotel should be shut down. The front desk folks were very nice. With that said the hotel was a dump. Our room smelled like wet mold. Must of been 15 flies in it and our bathroom door wouldn’t shut. Never again

Worst hotel I've stayed at in my entire life. Our trip lasted less than two hours. Found bugs crawling on the bed and floor. Took one to the front desk, showed management and demanded full refund. The guy at the front desk said "yah that room has been known to have issues." Then why in God's name aren't you doing something about it?? Don't freaking put anyone in that depraved room if you're not addressing the problems. We immediately left and found something better. And sadly, the couple right behind me at the counter did the exact same thing. And we ended up at the same new hotel! Which was petty funny. Knights Inn is unbelievably dirty (stains everywhere), smelly (everything reeks of old church basement), unsafe (side door wide open for anyone to come in and they did), and rundown (bathroom light didn't work, ceiling tiles falling into room, high moisture in rooms). I don't understand how this building is up to code. It's true that Knights Inn is the budget option among hotels in Grand Forks, but there isn't a large enough price difference with the other hotels to justify the stay. I promise you will feel dirty and on high alert for something gross. Go anywhere else. A park bench is a better option.

Their continental breakfast is the best of the three by far. Hotel staff and housekeepers are great. The pool is decent. Like other budget hotels, they need to update their power outlet offerings to accommodate a world with cell phones. The outlets are not conveniently near the bed at all. The area of town is quite industrial but there are many stores and fast food joints within walking distance. The roaches are gross and there's no way around that. If they got rid of those this would be a point higher.

Everynight for about 3 hours sounded like someone was throwing bouncy balls all over the place in the room above me. At checkin the staff did not say hi how are you hope you day is well nothing like that at all. There was a man in the parking lt draging around metal poles. This place is just not worth it if it would not take 5 days for a refund i would have canceled my stay shortly after checkin.

obviously our room was quite dated. holes in the walls from prior stuff hanging there. old washcloth hanging over the fire alarm. The curtains had dozens of what looked like insect holes in them. the fridge was so loud we had to unplug in when we were in the room.

Rooms and common areas are dated. Television not connected to cable. Window blinds missing hooks, drooping and have holes. Check in was easy. Jay at front desk most helpful and friendly. He is a bright spot in a lackluster hotel.

It looks nice from the outside but needs some updating inside, especially the carpet. The main guy was friendly and my room was fairly clean. There was just 1 lady checking people in and the guy with her had to book 5 individual rooms which took 20 minutes. There was zero quickness in that process at all. There was a large amount of construction workers staying at the motel that clearly don’t care about being considerate when it comes to noise. The Continental Breakfast was good, I just wish they took better care of it in there when it came to cleaning. A lot of the construction guys didn’t care what they left sitting where or if they spilled. The location of the Motel was perfect for me and the price was affordable.

it was ok until the next day i had to extend. There was some younger man maybe in his 20s working the next morning and I extended 2 extra days but somehow he swiped my card twice so i got billed for 4 days, no big deal the 2 extra days will go back on your card. So y'all tell me who can afford to pay double for anything especially being literally across the country from where you live. Im not saying it was intentionally done all im saying is they're well spoken and doesnt appear to be empty upstairs is all im saying. Take that how you want

I arrived to Check-In only to find there was only 1 Person cleaning rooms by himself and it was his FIRST WEEK!! I finally got into Room 109 1 hour and 45 minutes later, went to sleep after a 18 hour drive only to be awakened at 2:40AM covered in ANTS. The Room was now completely infested: In The Bed, On The Floor EVERYWHERE!! I went to Check-Out and get a Refund only to be told The Manager would call me in the Morning. No Phonecall came, so I phoned the Hotel back only to be told "The Manager has left for the Day (2:42PM) and he would call me First Thing Tomorrow Morning . . . It is now 10:34AM (Crickets!!!!) . . . . I\'m driving there 2 hours and 45 minutes to personally get my Refund AND a $ 150 USD Gas Card for my troubles. Horrible, Horrible Service and the Property . . . It\'s WORSE!

Rooms and common areas are dated. Television not connected to cable. Window blinds missing hooks, drooping and have holes. Check in was easy. Jay at front desk most helpful and friendly. He is a bright spot in a lackluster hotel.

This is an average hotel with average amenities. The front desk staff Jay was awesome. He was super friendly and helpful. We come to shop and he was great with directions and suggestions. The breakfast was great, didnt expect waffels.

Check said 3 pm, it it was after 4 when our room was finally cleaned. We were on a tight schedule for an early meal & then hockey game, so this really hampered it. Only 1 person working check in & he was totally overwhelmed. The small lobby was completely filled with people trying to check in & we were waiting 20-30 minutes, while the manager walked around, but couldn’t be bothered to help out in any way. Rooms are very outdated, probably haven’t been renovated since the 80’s, peeling paint, beds are old & uncomfortable, & the only lights that worked in the room were the entry & bathroom. Would never recommend staying here to anyone.

Besides the frequent cockroaches, Knights Inn is the best of the worst in town. Miles better than Stay Inn and East Grand Inn with whom they compete for the lowest dollar per night average. Their continental breakfast is the best of the three by far. Hotel staff and housekeepers are great. The pool is decent. Like other budget hotels, they need to update their power outlet offerings to accommodate a world with cell phones. The outlets are not conveniently near the bed at all. The area of town is quite industrial but there are many stores and fast food joints within walking distance. The roaches are gross and there's no way around that. If they got rid of those this would be a point higher.

This was a last minute booking and I wish we would have taken our time to search more for accommodations. Our room was very musty and stale smelling. The shower curtain was not long enough to contain water from making the floor slippery. We were provided ONE bath towel for 2 adults and 2 nights. We always pack an extra just in case. When we came down for breakfast, there were very few items available. If we ever make it back this way, we’ll search for other options.

To start, I travel a lot and generally dont leave reviews. Ive stayed in high end and definitely on the low end. This place is one of the worst I've been to. Just very unclean. My sheet had a large yellow stain on it, the bath tub had some curls and the room was pretty run down. The breakfast was barely edible. The pancake batter had a very strange taste to it and they went in the trash. The cereal and toast was about the only thing that was ok. My hallway and stairwell smelled like someone was sitting there smoking weed all night, my buddies smoke and I dont mind the smell, but it was very strong. If I could give this place a 0, I would. I paid almost 170 for this place....its about $100 too much. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra few bucks on a better hotel..... I will never step foot in this place again!
