Reasonably priced. Awkward check-in that includes writing on carbon copy papers. Pointed request to return plastic keys to the desk in the morning. No elevator. Rear entrance is an old exterior staircase that they enclosed. Room is extraordinarily dated. But, it was inexpensive and very clean. If I ever found myself in the area, I would probably consider staying there again if I was by myself (a guy).

I stayed at the Deluxe Inn for price only. The HI Express was more than twice the price and the Best Western was $50 more. Of course there wasn't much in the way of add ons. No frills. No breakfast (not even continental). But I didn't need that. I needed a clean room and comfortable bed and I got both. I checked in at 11 pm and checked out at 8:00 am. Just needed a place to sleep. Stayed here last year and I'll stay here again next year as well.

Wonderful place to stay. Confortable beds, clean room. Older hotel but really well cared for. Great restaurant, El Portal, across the street. Nearby several state parks, Waubonsie is a great place to hike

Motel was older style, very clean, in good condition. No breakfast but coffee available. Very small bathroom, not a problem for us but our tall, husky grandson would have been uncomfortable. We would definitely stay again. Staff was friendly.

The room seamed clean when walking into the room, but when looking at the bathroom the toilet wasn’t clean and the tub was also very dirty. When pulling down the covers on the bed, the pillow cases were stained yellow and had dirty spots on them. No breakfast, no elevator, only stairs. In my opinion the room was over priced for what it was, the room should have been priced at the very least $20.00 dollars less. Definitely won’t stay again at that price. And please get the maids to take an extra second to change pillow cases, and wipe up the toilet and around it on the floor, and maybe clean the tub.

Its not fancy but its got everything you need. The service was super friendly, down to the maid who stepped out of a room to wish us a good day on our way out of the lobby in the morning. Beds were nice and firm. Extra pillows and blankets on top of the clithes rack. Toilet are a bit small, esp if you're tall, but all clean and practical. Would stay again.

We loved our stay so much on the first night we stayed here that we drove fewer miles on our return trip to spend another night at this hotel again. Bob, the owner, is very nice and friendly. He remembered our names. He had great recommendations for restaurants. The room was very clean, and, very important to my husband, the mattress and pillows were perfect for his back. We also loved the small town. We have found in our travels that we prefer the hotels run and owned by someone local instead of the big chain hotels. It feels more homey.

We found the property when it popped up at the bottom of the hotels.com screen. It’s a sufficient mom and pop motel in a safe quiet area. They charge $5 for a 3rd person even though I had that in my search when it gave me the price. And then they charge a fee of $3.88 or something like that for the use of a credit card to pay for the night and they didn’t tell me ahead. No breakfast. Just hot coffe in lobby. Microwave in room. Bed was comfy enough. A no-frills motel. Owner Bob was nice.

The hotel is small, but very nice. It is clean, quiet, and convenient. Easy to find with easy access to downtown and the main highway. The furniture and room amenities were up-to-date and functional. The fan in the bathroom was a little loud and there was no facial tissues, but the room was pleasant. I will stay there again.

The deluxe inn is very accommodating to guest needs. Called in to ask if I could check in early. Asked if they knew any good places to eat. They said yes there’s a place across the street that is very affordable. Restaurant was delicious.
