Howard Johnson by Wyndham Blackwood Near Philadelphia

I've always had a pretty good stay at this hotel. Unfortunately this trip was not one of those experiences. We were in the hotel from Thursday to Tuesday. We had a problem with the refrigerator, which we didn't notice immediately, but once found, called front desk, to no avail. Consequently, our room was not touched by cleaning staff for our entire trip. Had to ask for clean towels and rolls of toilet paper. Overall, not a pleasant stay this time around. Not sure if I'll try again or just book at another hotel in the future.

Over all the stay was fine, the shower needed some TLC and well the "Spa Tub" (Unknown Surprise) was a HARD NO. Breakfast area ok, staff were nice, night gentlemen is a little grumpy at times... Served the purpose, probably wouldn't go back.

Clean room, big bathroom, balcony, had to ask for fresh towels, breakfast was only until 10am.

The staff was very friendly, and the check-in /check-out process was very easy. However, the rooms themselves were just okay. We only stayed one night, and after that, I probably wouldn't want to stay again. In one of our rooms, we saw a bug. In another, we saw an ant in the bathroom as soon as we arrived. And it might have just been chance, or maybe this is a regular occurrence there (I can't say), but some very sketchy characters were a couple of doors down from us doing drugs and going to pee in the bushes next to the parking lot.

The check in was fine. The room was very clean and roomy. Also I used the exercise room and it was very clean roomy and adequate. We had a couple items broken (our safe) and ice machine, and they knew already and employees weren’t concerned. The breakfast was okay if you like carbs, but that was about it.
