This property had duck tape on the door, the shower barley worked took forever to figure out. The pool was filled in by weeds and cats are all around the property. The best part of this place was the toilet paper.

Look elsewhere! This place was awful. The ice machine was broken. The floors appeared clean but walking around with bare feet for 5 minutes, my feet were black! The bed was like a rock. Paint and plaster peeling and falling off the walls. The water smelled horrible, stunk up the whole room. Got back from dinner with friends the first night and the cops were there. I paid for 2 nights but left after the first night. Pretty sure this is a welfare hotel that has some empty rooms once in a while.

Staff was friendly and the room was clean but the whole place was very run down with paint peeling in the rooms and a very strong sulfur smell coming from the water. Outside was also run down with a couple of derelict cars in the parking area and a pool with no water in it

One of the worst motels that I’ve ever been into the sink had a big piece of duct tape hiding a crack, very noisy the swimming pool was empty, and junk was sitting in it. The mattress was very uncomfortable. The pillows were dirty.💩💩💩💩💩

The hotel office door had an old tatterred sign "no mask no service" but the place was so run-down including an empty pool full of weeds several feet high and a parking lot full of stray cats that I laughed at the sign. There was no hot water in the shower and the curtain was moldy at the bottom. The sheets were clean but had cigarrette holes. The staff was polite but I could barely understand him due to a heavy accept (I don't hold that against him). I would have left except there was nothing else close by with availability.

Unfortunately, the outside entrance of the hotel is deceiving and especially the photos on the site. The only redeeming aspect of this hotel is the Colts Neck Pub within walking distance and Delicious Orchards, slightly further. Not sure where to start! Bathroom: No hot water from the sink. When the shower was a broken jacuzzi and the hot water smelled like sulfur. The room: a lamp without the shade and another dangling on the lamp. The smoke alarm was completely broken, which I'm sure the fire marshal wouldn't be happy about! The pool, don't expect to use that during the summer as that was in awful condition. Cats were wondering the property with food cans around the property. I understand this is a no frills hotel, but this is a neglected hotel and a shame as the area is a wealthy part of NJ and the structure is a nice looking hotel. I wouldn't recommend this. If it wasn't for the fact that I had to book as a last minute and would have lost my money, I never would have stayed, There are better hotels for slightly more

While the staff was very nice, this hotel is very rundown and in need of repairs. For example, the area between the window and the screen was loaded with spiderwebs. The faucet in the bathroom was not attached to the sink so when you turned it on it wiggled all over the place. There were no washcloths provided. The blow dryer that they provided didn’t work or the outlet didn’t work, I’m not sure which. The pool was empty, and the pool area was overgrown. The blanket on the bed had four or five cigarette burn holes in it. The toilet paper sat on the counter because there was no spool for it in the toilet paper holder. A lot of these are very simple things to fix, but apparently they don’t care.

This was literally the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed in (and I’ve stayed in 100’s) The shower head was broken and hanging down, off the broken handle, not to mention there was no hot water at all. It was my own fault for booking late so having a limited selection. The pictures look nice. But you don't see the smell of smokers in the non-smoking room, or the bags of garbage that were not removed for days. There is only one person on staff and he does not leave the front desk, thus the bags of garbage. He could not find my reservation at first, had a hard time understanding English, and was basically unfriendly. (Sadly, I had a hard time understanding him, too.) I was there for 6 nights and things did not improve. Someday, I may laugh about my stay from hell.

Hadn’t been in a few years. Man, this place has gone seriously downhill to the point where it’s not really somewhere to stay even with zero expectations. Broken lampshades with what looks like dried blood stains, light switches that don’t work, sheet with a slash tear in it, more cigarette burns in the bedding than I can count, an absolutely revolting hand towel with an entire face worth of concealer and mascara stained into it, sticky floor, broken bathroom sink faucet shoots water in every direction all over the countertop. There’s a night in a cheap, tacky motel and then there’s this. I’m the cheapest person I know and even I felt disgusting and ashamed laying my head down to sleep.

All I can say it is not for me. Too many people the room was horrible I had to drop my TV on the wall it was hanging sideways. Bathroom extremely small in order for me to take a dump I had to leave the door open so my knees could have room. Did not have a good night's rest

Expedia had a 4/4.5 rating…no way possible. The bedding sheet had cigarette burns and the bedspread was dirty. No smoke detector! Bathroom had no heat and was freezing. Closet door was off. Molding was missing or broken off. Outside gutters were clogged, pool had plants growing in it. Door entering the office was dirty.

The room was probably cleaned but you wouldn’t know it by the condition of the room. The bathroom has been renovated but the rest of the room looked like it hasn’t been touched since the 80’s. The closet door was off the rollers completely and was just sitting there. The bed mattress is horrible. But if you need an inexpensive room for the night, this is your place

First checking in young man was very rude got to the room. Had issues getting in the door went back down to him. He started screaming. I told him I said I’m just tired. I’ve had a long ride for four hours. Not my problem with this answer and start screaming and telling me to calm down because I was just tired and frustrated and wanted to lay down shower, anyhow you wanted to give me back my refund at this time I was very very tired. I needed to rest my head. I have been driving for four hours. However when I got in the room there was a poly dirt sitting in the front door corner that was swept there instead of vacuuming up. The front door was taped with duct tape on the inside There was hair in the bathroom sink and the toilet bowl water was brown getting the hot water to run it took it half hour to heat up the chair only has three wheels ones missing almost fell over my overall experience. I’ve done a lot of travel and been in hotels but for 100 and what I paid 125. The service was disgusting all over Will never recommend this placed anyone

Rm poor maintenance plumbing backs up promblem with cable office closes at 10 p. Have bell and after hour phone number I was locked out of my room from 330am to 830 am slept in my car in front of office. Called number over 30 times no answer. At 8 am maintaince guy finally got manger when i called later that day manger said he didn’t answer phone. The refusing to credit me night I’m stopping payment

Property wasn’t as bad as I expected based on the reviews. The facilities are definitely rundown and not maintained at all. But the bed was comfortable and both the AC and the shower worked. Despite being horribly run down the room and bathroom were clean so overall for the price it wasn’t the worst place I ever stayed at. Staff although surly was quick and efficient.

I thought this would be a cute place to stay by myself since it was in the middle of a "ritzy" part of the town (i.e. golf course, brewery, farmers market, old folks home). But it ended up being a crack den. Everything was incredibly dirty and junkies were hanging around outside. Do not book! Photos online are from years ago.
I thought this would be a cute place to stay by myself since it was in the middle of a "ritzy" part of the town (i.e. golf course, brewery, farmers market, old folks home). But it ended up being a crack den. Everything was incredibly dirty and junkies were hanging around outside. Do not book! Photos online are from years ago.

This property is inexpensive & for a reason. I get we all look for an inexpensive rest stop if someone is in town for a day or an event & wishes to stay over but this Village Inn in Colts Neck next to the Colts Neck Pub is disgusting I’m sorry to say. I’m not the one to leave reviews like this but I have. No choice here. The room was outdated, had a stench to it, there was no running water in the sink & the shower smelled like sewerage. One key card was given for the room, the pictures for Village Inn is falsely advertised

The hotel office door had an old tatterred sign "no mask no service" but the place was so run-down including an empty pool full of weeds several feet high and a parking lot full of stray cats that I laughed at the sign. There was no hot water in the shower and the curtain was moldy at the bottom. The sheets were clean but had cigarrette holes. The staff was polite but I could barely understand him due to a heavy accept (I don't hold that against him). I would have left except there was nothing else close by with availability.

Unfortunately, the outside entrance of the hotel is deceiving and especially the photos on the site. The only redeeming aspect of this hotel is the Colts Neck Pub within walking distance and Delicious Orchards, slightly further. Not sure where to start! Bathroom: No hot water from the sink. When the shower was a broken jacuzzi and the hot water smelled like sulfur. The room: a lamp without the shade and another dangling on the lamp. The smoke alarm was completely broken, which I'm sure the fire marshal wouldn't be happy about! The pool, don't expect to use that during the summer as that was in awful condition. Cats were wondering the property with food cans around the property. I understand this is a no frills hotel, but this is a neglected hotel and a shame as the area is a wealthy part of NJ and the structure is a nice looking hotel. I wouldn't recommend this. If it wasn't for the fact that I had to book as a last minute and would have lost my money, I never would have stayed, There are better hotels for slightly more

This place was so gross. The key wasnt needed bc you cam just push it open. Door on with duct tape, blood on the wall, water reaked of sulfer, no vending machine, shower rusty, stains all.ovet the blankets.

Nasty place. Felt like i needed a shower after I got out of the shower. Furniture and the walls are nasty. I wouldn’t let my dog stay here.
