As soon as we walked in the whole place smelled musty. The room had poor lighting, no ports for our phone to charge, terrible heating system (it was very cold in New Jersey), toilet bowl was very slow to flush and the whole place needed a massive upgrade. One day we left the room a little later than we had been and they never came to clean it. Overall the staff was not very accommodating or nice. We will not be staying at that hotel ever again!

Its a great place and staff...but it smells like mold all though the halls really bad...but not as bad in the rooms..... Needs a ventilation system....rooms are big and clean and safe. Breakfast is ok...coffee was good. C

Hotel staff was very welcoming. Room was immaculate. I dropped something behind the nightstand. I was almost afraid to look for it, but I didn't need to be - it was absolutely immaculate back there! That room was cleaned by someone who cares! Parking was easy and the location was super convenient. I've already made a reservation for my next business trip!

Staff were great. Free breakfast surprisingly decent. Room was fine and clean. Honestly, the biggest drawback (and it's pretty big) is that the whole place smells like an old wet towel. Maybe there was a flood? Too bad, because otherwise it's fairly solid for the price.

Staff were somewhat friendly but the hotel is old, it's filthy, extremely noisy and derelict. The only positive thing I could say about it is there's ample parking, but that's probably because people saw the place and decided against staying there. The couch in my room had stains all over it, the bathtub wouldn't drain during my shower so I was standing in calf-deep water, the refrigerator squeaked so loud I had to unplug it.

It was a not so good stay. The bathroom was stained, soap dish had dried up dirty soap residue from previous people, water stains around sink and dirty toilet seat. Mattress was very hard and I understand mattress firmness is a personal taste. The room was small with hallway light showing brightly under door at night and it was oddly furnished with a mirrored dresser set in front of a full length mirror that was attached to the wall. Restaurant and bar closed. Used to be a delightful hotel a few years back. Seemed to have lost its touch.

Very beautiful and luxury feel. Checking in started with a key that didn't work but the desk associate went with me immediately to make sure the replacement key did work. Room temperature controls were excellent. Beds were quite comfortable. The interior bathroom door handle and door frame was smeared with blood, I cleaned it myself because I didn't want to wait.

Honestly this is our go to hotel. Super clean and staff are great!! Just wish their breakfast during the week started earlier. Business travelers leave before 730an. Also, their internet is not the best. But works most of the time.

The rooms are large and clean. The people are nice. We stayed for two nights. Bathroom was until we had to change room because the toilet was not functioning properly from beginning. Dealt with it as we were tired after a long delayed flight and checked in at 3 am in the morning due to additional delay caused at car rental as only one person was working at the counter (since after hrs). Because the plumbing system of the hotel happens to be old, the bathroom of the alternate room that we shifted to also had problems. It was very annoying. They need to fix the plumbing problems probably throughout the hotel.

When I got back to my room at 1:00am, my room was 80 degrees and the thermostat was broken. Very uncomfortable climate. There was nobody at the front desk for me to consult.

I am now a regular guest at the Wilshire - coming once or twice a month. I feel at home because of the exceptional service the staff provides from the initial welcome to check out. In particular, Donna at reception always makes sure that any issues are quickly and professionally solved. My home away from home! Thanks to all!

The check in system was down when I arrived, and it took quite a long time to get checked in. After I got my key, I opened a room door only to find another guest in the room in the shower. I quickly closed the door and went back to the front desk for a new key. However, when I got to the room, I was distressed to find that the door didn't have a safety latch on the inside, so anyone could walk in on me the same as I had on the previous guest. It made me deeply uncomfortable to stay there. I was also sent to a local restaurant that was closed for renovations as the recommended place to get dinner and a drink. Not individually worth mentioning, but it didn't improve my experience.

The staff at the front desk was incredibly rude when I checked in. They told me that I did not have a booking even when I showed them my phone Log and my credit card statement that showed that I paid for the hotel. Their attitude towards me was very unprofessional and their unwillingness to understand what I was saying made me uncomfortable.

On my travel to the hotel i was going to arrive very late. I called many times over several hours and could not get any answer at front desk. I finally contacted after midnight to advise of late arrival. when I arrived to check in, the person behind the desk was asleep. I had to wake her and she was very out of it so the check in and communication was confusing. Later went to the desk again to ask about an issue and the person was again asleep.

After having a terrible experience with another hotel, front desk manager Donna assured us our stay would be quiet and comfortable. The rooms were cleaned daily and the entire staff went out of their way to ensure a pleasant experience. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return the next time we visit the area.

I think this hotel is good value for the price paid. Buffet breakfast was complimentary. The outdoor court is nice. Friendly staff. Hotel is very clean. It's about 20 minutes from the American Dream mall.

We stayed 3 nights,in deluxe room which says full breakfast. It isnt true the breakfast was so poor barely have hot food not even had breakfast sausage i am very disapointed with the breakfast only....room was super clean the staff was average besides the register employee was very kind. Hope you can improve on breakfast options

Our check-in experience was awful but that was more timing than the Wilshire's fault (a huge number of people arriving at the same time for a wedding and a HS reunion resulting in us caught in an hour long line). The free coffee was available all times but TERRIBLE

The room was comfortable but dated. The wireless didn't work properly. I needed to connect every time my mobile or laptop went into sleep mode. The breakfast was lousy. Not many items, and items tasted stale. The scrambled egg tasted like it was made from a mix the previous night. The coffee machine did not work on the morning I was there, and there was no other way to get coffee. All in all, you should be able to find a better place. I shifted to the Residence Inn about a mile away and had a far better experience for about the same price.

Very nice hotel, clean and comfortable but the breakfast is unfortunately terrible, (not sure if the eggs are powder-eggs?). The coffee is also terrible and other hotel guests agreed, so probably should bring your own coffee too?

The good: The rooms were clean, although dated. The not so good: On Expedia they show having a restaurant and bar. No mention that the restaurant and bar are closed for renovations. Breakfast is included with the room, but its starts late at 7:30am. I had to be at work at that time so no breakfast for me. Overall, this hotel over sold themselves on Expedia. Please review their listing as it is not accurate.
