Days Inn by Wyndham East Albuquerque 'Newly Renovated'

Homeless sleeping on sidewalks outside doors. People working on cars in parking lots. Conditions looks run down in appearance. Pool out of order and bread and dry cereal were the only things available for breakfast. No milk, juice or fruits

The pool was nice and clean. It was closed the next morning. We would have liked to swim more.

Staff was friendly. For some reason we were given a Handicap room. We were told no other rooms were available by the staff. We booked this room weeks in advance. The pool was green. Never heard the pool pump running. The jacuzzi was green as well. There was no air flow in the pool area. The pool room was very humid as well. The ice machine did not work. When I asked the front desk they had no answer of when it would be repaired. For the breakfast, they had a small frig but it was broken so no yogurt or other items. They did have a waffle machine so you could make waffles as well as cereal.

This place is just worn out. Pool area was dirty and the hot tub had trash in it. The room is just not up to Days Inn standards.

Did not even check in because I was told that I needed $ 100 cash deposit before we could check in and I do not carry cash on me. Swimming Pool was closed because note on the door said The City of Albuquerque shut it down temporarily. There was a lot of blood outside of one of the rooms close to the swimming pool, so we have no idea what had happened there that day. Tried to get money back because did not even check in and was denied. DO NOT STAY at this motel ever and I will never stay at any Days Inn by Wyndham ever again because of this.

Not sure on this spot as it’s a bit run down. The pool is green, the hot tub does not work. The room seems like it might be in the process of an upgrade, but they forgot to paint and recarpet. This might double as a weekly rental spot, and when we pulled up, there were police in the main drive. I would definitely avoid this one.

We rented 3 rooms for our stay. Upon arriving there were bags of trash outside by the stairs and along the walkway. One room had a broken mirror and TV had no channels. In the 2nd room the TV wouldn't turn down. The Ice machine was out of order. The hot tub was lukewarm. Continental breakfast was a joke. Coffee No creamer, not even powder. The Juice machine was out of order. No butter for waffles or toast. Cereal was available. The sheets were clean mattress was comfortable. The staff was unfriendly and seemed like everything was an inconvenience.

I was in room 214, the TV was scratched up from the middle but it didn’t wasn’t so noticeable when watching tv. My wardrobe door was broken and couldn’t close, the alarm clock was cut off and doesn’t work. The blow dryer didn’t work. The bathroom did not lock. The microwave smelt really bad , mainly a strong smell of burnt popcorn, I don’t think it was worth $80 for the one night I stayed when I checked in at 3 pm. The indoor pool was fine, there isn’t ventilation tho, and it’s a little dark so it made the water look a different color which made us question whether to get in or not but we did anyways because we already paid. The breakfast was free, but not much variety bc it was small. There was waffles, cereal, toast and orange juice, and coffee. I did have fun bc I was with friends, but it was just a poor conditioned room.

There was dirt in the bathroom that was dimly lit. Like dirt on the floor in the corner of the bathroom! The plug by the sink didn’t work. We had to move the microwave to the desk to be able to use it. Got stuck in the bathroom because the door sticks shut. The ice maker was broke. Had a 6.8 rating which was a total lie. Days Inn and Wyndham is usually so much better.

Hot tub and pool were cold.

I did not stay we left because the rooms are dirty and mold was in the bathtub. The rooms smelled and so did the lobby.

The property is very rundown. The rugs felt dirty to bare feet. There are roaches everywhere. Never again and not recommended.

Has seen better days. Clean and no bugs. BUT: Plugs fell out of sockets. Dirty washcloth in shower. One chair stained, other chair looks like was rescued from trash. All furniture well worn. Smelled of cleaning chemicals so strongly in breakfast area, could not eat. Will not stay again. Will not recommend.

I thought this place was going to be fine, it was not. Very dirty. I found fake eyelashes on the ground and other people hair in the bed. Everything was either broken or just dirty.

Just don’t stay here. Our room had not been cleaned even remotely recently or thoroughly. There were old chocolate candies all over the floor, the bedding had scorch marks all over from cigarettes, a hole punched through the bathroom door, and the tub/bathroom wall were graffitied. There’s an added cleaning fee, not mentioned where we booked, which is charged daily, and seems absurd given the state of the rooms. It was loud and scary on the first floor of the motel, with fights happening right outside the room all day and night. We requested a different room, which they kindly accommodated no problem, but still had a lot of problems. The bathroom was also graffitied, there was someone’s old sock underneath one of the beds (obviously not ours), the sheets were stained, and the doorknob to the bathroom was completely loose and hanging off, like the light fixture above the bed. It was super loud on the second floor, and we could hear every word and every movement from next door, including them dialing the phone the walls were so thin. The microwave was barely usable it kept turning on and off repeatedly throughout usage, unless you were holding the cord in the socket at the right angle. During our stay, we witnessed several physical fights, vandalization, and other unsettling things that made us feel scared and unsafe. One of the guests of the motel had a Ring camera installed in their window. While the staff was pleasant and very accommodating, PLEASE just don't stay here

Sheets were dirty and had stains on them. The carpet was wet. The air smelled moldy and simultaneously had a strong chemical air freshener odor. The only silver lining of this place was the customer service by the man who checked me in. He was very kind.

10/10 cleanliness. Was a Housekeeping Manager for 8 years. I see everything! And the rooms and property were extremely clean. The rooms and property are dated and could use a refresh. Staff was friendly and helpful. Central Location. If you’re looking for a budget, clean bed and shower this is a fantastic contender.

Clean bedding and bathroom. Working fridge, tv, air conditioner. Filthy chair in the room. Carpet dirty. Room smelled a bit musty. Only a couple breakfast items in the morning. Ice machine “still” broken. There was an $1 charge for ice at the gas station next door. Asked the hotel clerk if he could take care of it for me. Nope!

Motel was average, no real problems, however, cleanliness was lacking.

Room poorly maintained, gap under the door to outside, outdated and dingy furnishings, surrounding area appears unsafe. However, the room was fairly clean and it was a quiet stay.

The shower was broken and taking a bath was hard to get in and out and too hard to even wash your hair. The walls are paper thin and was kept up all night by other people next to me and above me.

The room need routine maintenance. The paint is peeling and sagging. The couch is old and the baseboards are broken. The bathroom light won't turn off.

Our doors didn’t lock properly, the dividing door didn’t lock at all so we had to move the fridge to keep the door shut and the front door didn’t close all the way but still locked.

The door lock wouldn't lock, however, nice accommodation.

Rm 241 shower doesnt work, bath holds no water due to the wrong bath fixture being installed in renovated shower inclosure -

Average room if you're looking to just stay for the night. The room lacked outlets. Bathroom faucets were broken. The mattresses need to be replaced because they just sink in. I'll definitely be staying elsewhere next time.

Room was not very clean. Multiple lightbulbs were out. All outlets except the one by the sink were loose and would not hold plug. Shower had almost no pressure.

It was a basic room. The furniture was old and worn. The location is industrial. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was old but clean.

The carpet was stained. The lampshades were torn. The stuffed chair was badly stained and the desk chair was broken. No security lock on the door. Hole in the wall. However the bed was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was also clean. No juice, no fruit, no yogurt.

Just so you know you are required to pay a daily fee (after booking) for houskeeping but don't get housekeeping service unless specifically requesting said service after paying. Ya... thats interesting... Exposed wire electrical sockets, cigarette burnt blankets. Toilet stopped up but i had to go fetch a nasty plunger from the office to handle the situation. And ummm what the hell is on the lampshade?!? Bloody handprint??? Conveniently turned towards the wall.. Id post the pic but the app won't let me. Check it out on Google. We were greeted in a nice friendly manner. Staff member at front desk was very friendly. They were remodeling the hotel but it did not get in the way of good service. Food choices at hotel we’re pretty decent. Because of the front desk service I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Will stay here again in the future if passing through Albuquerque again

Stayed here for a business trip. Absolutely horrible. The check in guy was absurdly rude, as if it was an inconvenience for me to be there. Demanded ID and 100 cash. It HAD to be cash, no cards. Went to ATM and came back. Gave him ID, Again, and he just said "100 Cash." Then gave me papers to sign. Looked at me like i was suppose bring my own pen. Rudely toss me pen. Copied my ID then gave me 1 Room key, room number written on it, and said nothing else. The room was in very poor condition to say the least. Check out was just as awful. Rude ,unprofessional, and hostile. The cash deposit wouldn't be released until after 8am, leading to having to make a return trip after meeting. Again, snotty and rude. Wyndham needs to pull their franchise licenses.

Customer service was excellent check-in was quick. The clerk at the front desk kept an eye on the property, which was very nice.

Could not find my reservation quoted me a competely different price and wanted a deposit that was about triple the price of the original room, so I did not stay

The service was good. The girl who checked us in was very friendly and nice. She even showed us the room to make sure it is clean. We were only there for one night due to a long drive home. But there was an extra service charge that everyone is complaining when we got there. I see why they are complaining. The price specially for one night already included the service charge and they are charging extra for one night stay. I can understand if customers are staying longer but for one night they should not charge extra. Around the property need cleaning, there was a lot of trash as you walk by the parking lot. Other than that, it was ok for a quick rest.

The night clerk was very rude. Spoke to me very matter-of-factly instead of friendly. Made me feel like I did something wrong before even walked in the door. Did not explain to me that breakfast was over at 9:00 when most places it's over at 10:00. Therefore, I walk to get breakfast at 8:55 and there was a sign on the door that said breakfast is closed. Which was the only reason I chose this disgusting hotel. The only thing beautiful in this whole place was the carpet. Everything is outdated. Old needs refurbishing. The bed was not comfortable at all. The pillows were miscombobulated. This was the worst hotel I stayed in my entire trip and I was in a hotel every night this week. No name brands had better accommodations and better customer service than I what I expected here at the Days Inn. A Wyndham property should have Wyndham customer service and Wyndham accommodations. I will never stay at another Day's Inn.

Didn’t know that when I booked the hotel that it was in one of the worst cities in Albuquerque. Was stranded for the night due to car breaking down. Had to walk to a place to get dinner and there’s an announcement that comes on over the air, stating that there’s no loitering. Then we see security officers on duty at fast food establishments. We got back to the room and locked ourselves inside and put the chair in front of the door. Staff stayed behind a 1” glass so there was no friendly welcome feeling.

The hotel itself was clean and staff was nice. Area surrounding it not good. I went outside heard a loud gunshot. Hurried back to the room. Some guy on drugs outside our room in the street firing gunshots screaming like he was on drugs. Kept firing went down by the office. Police finally arrived but the guy had committed suicide and shot himself by the office. Scariest experience on my life!

Hotel is a little ran down, a lot homeless people around the area. A lot of the businesses shut down early around that area. We were there for the softball tournament across the street. Good place to sleep if you are playing a softball tournament over there. Literally across the street.

Local restaurants nearby using security guards because of theft in the area

It was fairly quiet considering it's next to a main road and interstate. However, no coffee pot in room. The door has minimal security and had gaps. I travel with a door alarm otherwise I wouldn't have stayed.

Obviously the area isn’t very safe. The front desk is behind thick glass, with just a slot to pass a credit card and room key through. The room was dirty and run down. The walls had holes in them, lights were broken, and the carpet was filthy and stained. This was a terrible property. The only good thing was the sheets were clean and the mattress was comfortable.

Did not stay. Traveling with my wife and 1 year old son and we did not feel safe enough to stay

Hotel is located away from the interstate, so it’s quiet. Clean room, comfortable bed. Located on the east side of Albuquerque, next to the Owl Cafe, which I highly recommend. All in all, a pleasant stay.

The hotel says on expedia.com that breakfast included, which is a sham marketing. They did not include any items in breakfast except for cold cereal, waffle and few breads. All other food shelves were deliberately empty to save money on breakfast by property management. It was a joke. Wyndham and expedia should take notice.

The room was nice, but had an older heating unit that was difficult to control. The “free” breakfast was in a poorly lit room with only mini waffles and cereal available, but I wasn’t staying for the food so not a big deal. There was a constant humming noise in the bathroom but not so bad I couldn’t block it out by shutting the door. Overall I’d say 3/5 stars

We were there for 3 days. Had no problems. Slept well. Very clean for an old building. Loved the waffles for breakfast. The coffee was excellent.

The place was a little rundown, and the pillows were lumpy. The bed was fine, cleanliness was fine. Fridge was unplugged, and the A/C was off when we arrived. It would have been nice to have the room cool and the fridge ready when we got there. Breakfast was just waffles and cereal, so for anyone looking for more protein, this is not the breakfast for you. The front desk was good customer service.

Their free breakfast was some self made waffles, instant oatmeal, mediocre coffee, and white bread with peanut butter and jelly. Certainly not my idea of a hot breakfast. Also the plug next to my bed was missing the cover plate with exposed electrical wires. It was inexpensive but definitely below par.

Counter clerk was a very unhappy person. Not rude, but not polite either. I asked if they ever had problems with vehicle theft or damage and he responded by telling my Albuquerque had the highest crime rate of any city in the US. I parked my truck next to my room and checked on it several times throughout the night and it was fine. Room smelled ok, AC worked, sheets were clean, plenty of towels, water was hot and plenty of pressure. Hair dryer didn’t work, water damage stains on ceiling and walls, desk chair was broken, carpet needs replacing. Breakfast was maybe the most disappointing I’ve ever seen. Breakfast started at 6:00. I went there at 6:15. Waffle iron was on……..but they didn’t have batter, no fruit, no yogurt, no oatmeal, no juice……..there was a loaf of white bread on a plate and some butter and jelly packets. Coffee with powder cream and sugar, a carafe of milk and a canister of corn flakes…………didn’t even have water for drinking…….if there are no other options anywhere……maybe………..next time I won’t even stop in or near Albuquerque.

Easy access from I-40, the property provided a good stopping for your travel. The rooms were old but kept clean. Breakfast options were very lean, only cereals and waffles. No fresh fruits, banal coffee choices. It had close access to other dining options.
