We absolutely loved this eclectic property. We were told it used to be apartments for artists built in the 30's. It was quirky and delightful! The pool/hot tub area is beautiful. The room was dated but comfortable and clean. (Hands down the most comfy bed we slept in on our trip!) It can be a bit bright at night due to spot lights around the property and sky lights, but if you're not light-sensitive it's no big deal and the sky lights are wonderful during the day. The shower, in our room, was in a claw foot tub with wrap around curtains...fine for us but may be a problem for some. Wonderful free breakfast made to order and served in a cute dining room with fireplace. Easy, quick walk to Old Town. Highly recommend!

Amazing little casita with 2 rooms, a private patio, a kitchen, 2 bathrooms. It was more than I expected and so close to old town! The staff is so friendly. There is even a private parking next to every casita. Highly recommended

Great historic property across the street from Old Town. Beautiful grounds which include 2 wonderful hot tubs. Complimentary made to order breakfast is a very nice touch! Would highly recommend!

A great experience with our stay. Enjoyed the convenience of the location to Old Town. The atmosphere was great. Very friendly staff to welcome and show us around. Enjoyed having our own hot tub and private space. A great experience, will look to stay there again soon.

Unique in its history and location. Property is being upgraded while retaining past architecture. The breakfasts were very good and included with the room and cooked to order. The new hot tub complex is really something!

Just a one night stay but really disliked the Shower & having to climb in and out. Not really safe. A grab bar would be nice. Overall cleanliness was a bit rough. Could have used a bit more Maintenace & cleanup with regards to many many repairs done on flooring & walls. Floor was cold & didn't feel clean. Sorry!

We enjoyed the rooms and beds were comfy. Bathroom shower could use a refurbishment and furniture needs to be dusted better. Kitchen could benefit from some flatwear or plastic wear forks and knives. I do really love this place. Breakfast is great!

Beautiful rooms & walkable to Old Town. Only issue was an overwhelming cleaning odor. It was extremely hot outside & had air conditioning running, so opening the windows wasn’t an option.

Positive: Location, location, location! This property is fabulous for being near the heart of Old Town Albuquerque and all it has to offer. The property was fabulous with the double hot tubs and fire pots, beautiful Southwestern landscaping and artistic details, and layout between casas. Breakfast was everything a top rated hotel should be including both continental options and delicious made to order breakfast. I ordered the quesadilla twice! Negative: Casa Rio Grande was way out of date, with electrical wiring limited to a single outlet usable for charging electronics and a charming claw-foot tub which couldn't overcome the inadequate shower nozzle and spray. A grab bar (maybe required?) would also be welcome for senior citizens. Most unsettling of all was the discovery on the second day after arriving and presumably having had the room serviced twice, of a pair of men's briefs on the floor of the far side of the bed. Ick! The price I paid for this casa was way out of line for my expectations; apparently some of the other units are updated and this one should be advertised as rustic! While I would consider staying at Casas de Suenos again, I would definitely not stay in this casa.

This has to be of the most charming places I’ve ever stayed at. The room is spacious and decorated in Albuquerque, NM fare, with turquoise studded pieces and local art. The room is clean with a full kitchen. The hotel has multiple casitas spread out over the estate and a very modern Jacuzzi that is communal in the center area. The hotel is listed as dog friendly, however I think that service dogs are allowed but please call ahead before you arrive to notify the owners. I made the mistake of not doing this which means my original room booking will need to be changed to another room (which makes me sad) but they only have a few dog friendly rooms. The hotel is in Old Town and there are plenty of things to do locally.

Charming historic casitas. We stayed in one of the hot tub suites. Everything was clean and updated. The cook to order breakfast was delicious. Staff were all very nice and helpful.

This place was sooo beautiful and historical. It was located just a couple of blocks from Old Town and was an enjoyable walk to get there. Stores and resturants galore. We got a room with a indoor hot tub and enjoyed a nice quite event in after our exploring. Room is comfortable with an old charm with new items. The only true thing we didnt like here is the bed. It was too hard for us but everybody is different when it comes to firmness. But the made to order breakfast made it better in the morning. We will definitely be back in the future.

Route 66 room was a cozy Bungalow, super clean. Very friendly and accommodating staff. This is a vintage property so there is alway going to be room for improvement; but we can not complain but the old couch was a bit uncomfortable but that is were the only TV was located; would not hurt to replace the old couch or at least send it to go to the Riviera but most definitely it needed a new mattress. The bungalow was quite even though it was facing the street, not too much traffic in the evenings on that street. The little breakfast cafe was awesome, and better yet it was included in our package.

Great experience! Property is old but the fact that you have a whole room, full kitchen, and a tv room make this place very cozy and home like. There is an adult only hot tub area in the center that was nice after site seeing and hiking. Breakfast was nice and the staff were very friendly. If we travel here again, we will definitely stay here. If traveling with friends, it will be nice because everyone will have their own mini apartment. Very cool little spot with friendly staff.

Very nice accommodation that was really a little house with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and a private porch. we loved the place but the internet connection was not good at all and the breakfast service was only ok. Waited a long time to get our food and when it arrived I saw that they had poured chocolate on my pancake without asking and I can't eat that. It was not on the menu description. They took it back but it took a long time for me to get my food back.

The proximity to the Old Town Plaza can’t be beat. Unfortunately, that meant hearing cars gunning their engines and street racing long into the wee hours. I found the bed pillows to be far too hard to use for sleep. I ended up using a pillowcase over a couch pillow. The buildings are old, which some folks may call charming. It means that the floors creak and many compromises were necessary in modernizing the casitas. The grounds are attractively decorated. Breakfast was good. The staff was nice.

That area is great, close to the Rio Grande, very charming casitas that does not feel like a hotel. Love the privacy of your own casita. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms were decorated very "New Mexico" style but still comfy. And with freezing overnight temps, it was nice that hot water in the shower was almost instant! Would definitely stay again and recommend it to others.

The staff was welcoming, made to order breakfast was wonderful. The grounds are beautifully kept, like staying in a park. Walking distance to Old Town square and some great restaurants. This place is fabulous in so many ways for one or two people. We were three. Didn't like that the kitchen had plates and glasses, but no flat ware, pots, pans or cooking utensils. No dish drainer. The hide-a-bed had a blow-up mattress, which meant the couch cushions sank. Awkward. We didn't open the couch. Just slept on top,but had to be sure about cushion placement. The bedroom was very small, had to scooch sideways to get past the bed to get to the bathroom or risk bumping the art on the wall.
The staff was welcoming, made to order breakfast was wonderful. The grounds are beautifully kept, like staying in a park. Walking distance to Old Town square and some great restaurants. This place is fabulous in so many ways for one or two people. We were three. Didn't like that the kitchen had plates and glasses, but no flat ware, pots, pans or cooking utensils. No dish drainer. The hide-a-bed had a blow-up mattress, which meant the couch cushions sank. Awkward. We didn't open the couch. Just slept on top,but had to be sure about cushion placement. The bedroom was very small, had to scooch sideways to get past the bed to get to the bathroom or risk bumping the art on the wall.

Asked to vacate room midway without any notice and no rooms were in the area even though the plumbing repair they wanted to do could have awaited one day. No manager came on line and no reimbursement for the hardship caused. And they charged same rate as much better hotel.

Great property but had mice or rats in ceiling in bedroom. Kept us from sleeping. Also had water leak in ceiling that dripped on bag. Checkout person apologized and promised owner or manager would call but never heard from them. Very disappointed.

The old historic feeling. However, they DEMAND a copy of your drivers license and when I asked why they said, "Every hotel does it". Funny thing is I travel for work all over this country and outside this country and Hotels DON\'T do this. She claimed it was for audit purposes but couldn\'t explain that. Then she put the copy in an unsecure file drawer. This is outrageous and not necessary.

A great experience with our stay. Enjoyed the convenience of the location to Old Town. The atmosphere was great. Very friendly staff to welcome and show us around. Enjoyed having our own hot tub and private space. A great experience, will look to stay there again soon.

Very nice accommodation that was really a little house with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and a private porch. we loved the place but the internet connection was not good at all and the breakfast service was only ok. Waited a long time to get our food and when it arrived I saw that they had poured chocolate on my pancake without asking and I can't eat that. It was not on the menu description. They took it back but it took a long time for me to get my food back.

The proximity to the Old Town Plaza can’t be beat. Unfortunately, that meant hearing cars gunning their engines and street racing long into the wee hours. I found the bed pillows to be far too hard to use for sleep. I ended up using a pillowcase over a couch pillow. The buildings are old, which some folks may call charming. It means that the floors creak and many compromises were necessary in modernizing the casitas. The grounds are attractively decorated. Breakfast was good. The staff was nice.

Very nice historic property built in the 30s with a nice hot tub and gardens. It’s located within walking distance to Old Town, botanical gardens, aquarium and more. Each room is its own casita. Nice area too.

The hotel was pretty, there was a wedding right outside our room. The location was the teason we chose to stay here. The casita was rustic, but it had a strong shower. The grounds were lush with green, but that just means plent o mosquitoes.

This place was sooo beautiful and historical. It was located just a couple of blocks from Old Town and was an enjoyable walk to get there. Stores and resturants galore. We got a room with a indoor hot tub and enjoyed a nice quite event in after our exploring. Room is comfortable with an old charm with new items. The only true thing we didnt like here is the bed. It was too hard for us but everybody is different when it comes to firmness. But the made to order breakfast made it better in the morning. We will definitely be back in the future.

This place does not look like much on the outside, but once you walk through that turquoise blue gate you walk into this eccentric beautiful hotel with gorgeous paintings and metal work and a beautiful Mosaic fireplace. This morning they had it lit for breakfast as it was a bit chilly and it was just a beautiful morning with a delicious breakfast. I’d come back and stay if I was staying in Albuquerque again.

We loved our stay in this oasis very near all that Old Town has to offer. The casita was comfortable with everything we needed. The bed was perfect, the grounds beautiful, and breakfast delicious! We wish we could've stayed longer. Relaxing in the hot tub after a long travel day was a nice bonus.

What an amazing and unique place. Wonderful outdoor walkways to you own “adobe house” as your room. Especially wonderful was our stay in La Cascada - a closed courtyard, table & chairs, two-person patio swing, water feature, and hot tube… all private and all ours! My only complaint would be that the hot tube was set too high in temp. Would be better to consider a “cool tub” during the summer months. Other than that, it was fantastic.

Our two queen bed suite was spacious, but the floors were very creaky, and there were quite a few mosquitoes inside. Jacuzzi was more trouble than it was worth – – took about eight minutes to fill up the tub 3/4 of the way, and the Jacuzzi jets were so powerful (even on the lowest setting) that they sprayed water all over the walls and shower curtain. I also wish the showerhead was bendable and had different flow settings.
