Front staff was very rude, would not let us check in early but accepted plenty of other guests while we sat in the lobby for over an hour. Mind you we were in town for less than 24hours. The reservation was paid in full and when asked for access to the pool to wait for our room to be ready they denied our request. When asked to check in our room (Mountain View) after waiting and watching other guests get there keys, they said it wasn’t ready yet but we could change to the standard room. When we agree to change to a standard room and headed to the “standard room” it turned out to be the Mountain View room. We waiting in the lobby the entire time while our room had been ready. The room was great. Front desk was rude and lacked any sort of customer service.

Check in was slow and understaffed. The hotel was oversold and they were struggling with that. Keys were not working. Staff was short with guests and keys not working is not a guest's problem. Public space is not inviting and not up to Hilton's standards. Bathroom floor was dirty. Shower head didn't work well. Water pressure was good one moment and bad the next. Towels were over laundred and past their best use. Carpet in room is tired. 3 of 4 elevators were working. With a 15 floor full hotel - makes it slow getting around. Charged $20 a day for parking but because there are so few spots we ended up parking down the street in a public UNDERGROUND parking garage. If you are a single woman it is dangerous to park there and then walk the 2 blocks to the hotel at night. The hotel was worried about their parking lot because they had 2 security guards out front but they are happy to send someone at night to a parking garage that is not monitored. The other issue we discovered there is a sign on the lower level of the garage pointing to the hotel and an entrance but it was locked and our key didn't open it. Which means you are wondering around a poorly lite, underground parking lot looking for the exit. The hotel did give us a code to exit. My guess the city doesn't charge them $20 a day to use. I am sure when the property was built it was a top notch hotel but it is not anymore.
