Picked hotel because of pool. The pool pump was broke so it was closed. Room was not clean. Floor not vacuumed and trash was on floor near window. Mirror in bathroom smeared. One pillow case had blood stains. Hotel is not being kept up.

Excellent staff. Great food and cold beer. Unfortunately guest elevators were out of order. Use of staff elevator allowed guests to see how little the hotel management cares about the staff. Staff elevator cramped, dark, slow, had exposed wires in the ceiling. Access to staff area also showed hypocrisy of management with many large motivational signs posted about Teamwork, etc. along with many small signs threatening punishment for tardiness, eating from particular refrigerators, etc.

The hotel is under renovation. First we had an unrenovated room and could not get the cold fan to turn off but the accommodating staff transferred us to a very nice renovated room which was satisfactory.

The elevator for guests is out of service. The restaurant and bar was dead, for the most part. The guests in a room either next door or across the hall were quite talkative, making me wonder just how soundproof any of the rooms are. I hope it's a quiet night, especially considering how few guests were in the restaurant and bar.

Back in the day, what’s now the Sheraton ABQ Airport was a Wyndham hotel with design and amenities matching its Southwest location. Now it appears to be run by a faceless corporation that wants to take money out and put none in. After acquiring the hotel, Sheraton did put money into replacing its stylish Southwest furnishings with bland, undistinguished ones. Now it apparently skimps on upkeep. In our room (216): (1) the entry light didn’t work; (2) the carpet was so old and badly worn that I thought at first its remaining bizarre patterns were stains; (3) the in-room air quality was so bad, perhaps due to micro particles from the aged carpet, that I had to use an N-95 mask to sleep; (4) the aircon, when on, sounded like a freight train; and (5) the windows didn’t open. IMHO, this hotel needs serious maintenance and is living on a “captive audience” of flight crews. That said, the restaurant staff (Edwina & Deborah) were friendly and helpful,

Very disappointing for a Sheraton. Checked in, went to my room. Travelled by myself so I checked the entire room before settling in. Looked under the bed, there was trash and a handful of used tissues underneath - gross. Called the front desk to get a new room. Went into the new room and 2 out of 4 lamps did not work. Went downstairs to get another room - all I want is a clean room where everything works. Third room, cleaner and the lights worked - great. The bed was so squeaky and springy though, very uncomfortable. In the morning when I got in the shower, there was wads of hair in the drain - gross, again. Property probably hasn’t been updated in 20 years. Pictures make it look nicer than it is. I felt like I was staying in a hostel. I will never stay here again.

The restrooms in the lobby area were dirty and had an unpleasant smell. They assigned me a room on the 6th floor, as soon as the elevator door opened, the same unpleasant smell from downstairs was there. I walked into my room and the first thing I saw was the dirty mirror. It looked as if the last guest had spit on the mirror and no one had cleaned it. I went to look at the toilet and it had hair around the base, along with dried urine and blood. The sink, tub and shower head were dirty and unkept. There were layers of dust all around the room. The glasses on the sink were also dirty and dusty. The floors hadn’t been swept. The phone, desk, and chair were dirty. Lack of customer service. When I checked out, I wasn’t given a receipt nor asked why I was checking out so soon. The whole building is unkept and not what is pictured on the website.

This was one of the worst hotel stays in recent memory. We had had stayed at a Best Western Plus in Santa Fe the night previous to this and it ran circles around this Sheraton. Starting with check in, they sent us to the 7th floor to a room that had not been cleaned. Had to get a different room. Entire floor smelled of toxic sewage. I told the front desk and nothing done. It was so bad…I couldn’t figure where it was coming from until I shut off the Central air system. The smell was coming through the hotel ventilation system. Fortunately the window opened and had to leave that open all night in order to remain in that room. Next issue, restaurant. Restaurant was “open” but didn’t seem like it was. Bartender didn’t want to deal with the restaurant …that was obvious…she just dismissed us and said just go sit down wherever. Sat at table for a few minutes. Nobody around. Got up and got menus myself. Fortunately …and this is one of only two positive things I say…a lovely older lady came and waited on us. She has been there 25 years and was wonderful. Just a wonderful soul. She took great care of us. While waiting in food to arrive, the bartender stormed out claiming she was ill…leaving this other lady with the whole bar and restaurant to take care of. Also, hotel was not empty and there were lots of people coming in to eat while we were there. The second positive I have is the food was quite good. There were no amenities in the room besides coffee maker.

The sink was continually stopped up. when you turn on the water the drain in the floor would begin to gurgle in the middle of the night. It sounded as if someone was drilling in the bathroom through the night. Your room only got clean. If you ask, you only got clean towels if you ask, which were dingy. The floor was dirty. Would never stay there again.

There was a terrible sewer smell in my room that made me sick to my stomach! The room key didn’t work and finally I got a different room. My husband and I have stayed here many times and this was the first time that I had such a bad experience.

First off, all the staff were excellent, friendly and professional. My first room was extremely warm. I alerted the front desk and maintenance informed me that the AC blower had not been installed and the room shouldn’t have been rented out. They got me a different room but the ac also didn’t work. The temperature got as low as 79 degrees according to the thermostat. I had to be up very early by 4 and I checked in by 6pm so I dealt with it because I had to sleep. I was uncomfortably hot all night.

It may seem really picky, but the TV had very limited selection. I ended up at this hotel because of a very delayed flight and I just wanted to chill-out with some movie or such. Also, the AC did not seem to actually be doing any cooling -- just blowing air around.

Our stay was okay but not great. Every time we stay here, something seems to go wrong. A couple of years ago, the AC and water didn’t work. This time, those problems were fixed and the room looked nice. This year the TV didn’t work in any of the rooms, which was disappointing. The room keys also stopped working every day, so I had to go to the front desk to get new ones several times. Housekeeping did not clean the room on our second day even though we made the request. The carpet looked new, but it clearly hadn’t been vacuumed. We kept stepping on goathead thorns from desert plants on the floor, and they hurt when stepped on. Overall, the stay was just average, not what you’d expect from a Sheraton. Not likely to book here again, Hector

Check in was a long wait. Staff were looking for Julio which took about 20 min. First room they gave us the TV was working and furniture was falling apart. The second room's HVAC wasn't working and was cold the entire night. But the lady that help provide a second room was very helpful.

I was not allowed access to my hotel room due to a power outage after waiting in the lobby for over 45 minutes the managers Chara Blanch and Dan Stenz promised me a refund once the power came back “later that night or the next morning”. Dan Stenz raised his voice at me and walked away from me in the lobby area after I politely asked him if there was anything they could do since I had my confirmation and receipt on my phone. Chara Blanch apologized and said they were unable to do anything since the computers were down but sent me an email saying I would be refunded that day or the next morning. 3 days later I have not received a refund or heard anything from them. I had to book a different hotel for my stay. Wasted $230 and an hour of my time.

My stay at the hotel was severely impacted by the mildew odor that pervaded the premises, particularly on the 8th floor. Furthermore, I was dismayed to discover that Sheraton was charging my debit card daily for $200+ dollars, despite my having already paid for the entire stay through Hotels.com. At check-in, the front desk representative assured me that my card would only be charged $50 for incidentals and $10.95 for parking per day, as the room had already been paid for. However, when I attempted to obtain a refund for the unauthorized charges on the day of departure, I was informed that it was not possible and that a manager was unavailable on Sundays. I requested that a manager contact me to discuss the matter, but Ed, the manager, refused, according to Miajah, the front desk agent. Additionally, I experienced significant difficulty in getting Sheraton security to address a noise complaint on the first night, which disrupted my ability to rest for an important event the following morning. As a result, I would rate my stay as a 0. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, as I believe they are engaging in unauthorized and deceptive practices!!!

Horrible customer service! Arrived to Albuquerque around 1230p, decided to see if hotel had any available rooms. The reception clerk did not bother to greet me. I proceeded to tell her we arrived early then she basically shut me up and asked for last name. Gave her my last name and stated in a bad tone "we don\'t have a reservation under that name" i told her she was mistaken and stated "nope, i don\'t see the last name on the list". As i was looking for the reservation, she said oh i found it. Asked for my ID, i laid it on the marble countertop and it slid off, she then stated " oh wow, no need to throw it at me" i told her i laid it there and slid off, she said "yea sure, whatever". I said wow, can\'t believe your attitude, she stated "yea the same for you". Never have i had such horrible service anywhere before especially not at a Hotel like Sheraton. I did not get her name, she is a short darked hair Hispanic girl. As we entered our room, the temperature was very cold in the room, went to turn the heater and shortly realized the heater would not turn on instead the room got colder. Called the front desk and was sent a maintenance man to make adjustments. The next morning as we were trying to turn on the AC we realized now we could not cool the room. Called the front desk and they stated the maintenance man would go switch off the heater and turn on the AC. So we never had the option to go from heat to AC with the thermostat which was super inconvenient.

The hotel itself is ok but the staff on duty when i checked in get zero out of five stars. I called for their shuttle service from the airport at 12:05 i informed the man that i was severly visually impaired . I stated i was at door 6 and he said ok. See you in 5 minutes. 30 minutes later i called back and the guy says i drove by 5 times i didnt see you. I again told him i have a cane . Im basically blind. He says ok ill be there in 5 minutes but this time he told me i had to be at door #2. I finally get to the hotel and the man checking me in keeps saying things like over there abd points off to some direction. After i told him i cant see " over there" ge says oh well. Go left. So this place needs some ADA training. But the room was ok.

This stay was so much better than a week ago when we stayed in a room where the heat didn’t work and the bathroom sink leaked. This room was pretty good. We stay here because of the excellent location and shuttle service. The staff was excellent especially the shuttle driver.

From the moment we walked in, we were treated well. Check-in was seamless, the restaurant was not only convenient, but the staff was so friendly and helpful and the food was excellent! The bed was comfy! The shuttle to the airport the next morning was prompt, arriving 5 minutes after we came down, and it only took 5 minutes to get to the airport! The only "down" thing about the property is it is dated, but it didn't bother me. It was kind of cool to be in the retro deco.

Stayed here to catch an early flight. The free shuttles made the trip really easy. The free airport shuttle runs 24 hours and they also offer free complimentary shuttle for anywhere within 1 mile distance.

This hotel is very near airport, and offers a peaceful oasis after a long day of travel. The shuttle service is quick and efficient and the hotel staff welcoming. I’m so glad I chose to book a room and rest here for the night before collecting my rental car and traveling on to Taos. I will be a loyal customer going forward.

Upon checking in I discovered that the restaurant and lounge were closed. This was not disclosed when making my reservations. Partially through my stay only one elevator was operational which caused long waits and the need to use the stairs. The room had a distinct "musty" smell.

I loved the room, bathroom was separate from the sink and hair dryer. The bar and restaurant was excellent. The food was wonderful My husband had the trout ... yummy. We we're able to keep our car there while we were on vacation for a couple of day.. The shuttle service was on time and picked us up when we came back. 5 stars for sure

I have stayed in this hotel many times over the years as it's right beside the airport. This time, however, I found the food nearly inedible, with a Caesar salad so thickly slathered with strong dressing that I only ate a few bites, and buffalo wings also slathered. The dirty Martini I got from the bar there tasted more like water, very disappointing. And while the room was nice, during the night the HVAC cycled on and off with the sound of a bad bearing or belt and woke us up every time. A very disappointing stay at a place I usually enjoy.

The Marriott takeover has breathed new life into this old Sheraton. My son and I had steak and salmon entrees in the nearly empty restaurant. The food was exceptional. The service was great.
