The property is definitely beautiful and historic. The rooms are awesome and clean. The pool is beautiful and clean as well. Here is the issue. I travel a lot. And I always put a “Do Not Disturb” sign on my door to indicate that I do not need service. I did the same here. I received THREE letters under my door requesting that I remove the “Do Not Disturb” sign to indicate if I need service (which I did not). The letter also stated that if the “Do Not Disturb” sign is NOT removed from my door, the hotel management reserved the right to enter my room every 24 hours. I have never experienced anything like this in any property. I understand that this is being done for guest safety but some people are just private and if you are a private person, this property may not be for you. Additionally, they do NOT store luggage, so if you have a conference and need to store your bags — good luck. Parking is $27 per night. If you are planning to eat in the area, you must make reservations on any day. Otherwise expect to wait for 1-2 hours.

The location is convenient, rooms are spacious and clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. However, the hotel, pool area and parking lots are very tired and in need of a full remodel. I find it egregious that they charge $31/day for parking in a broken pavement lot.

It is a great hotel with lots of walkable spots to visit. Only problem is the lack of an ice machine. The hotel does provide small bags of ice in the gift shop.. Get them before they are gone! Nice pool!

Arrived late. Reserved a king deluxe room. Initially given a room with what looked like 2 double beds. Back to the desk, given another room. The second one is what we reserved. The room was very nice. Clean, comfortable. The only issue we had is there is no ice machine. You have to go to the main lobby where they have ice in baggies for you to pick up. This was a first for a hotel. Especially a Hilton. Parking is $31.00 per day. Seems a bit much but... Overall, would stay here again.

Beautiful hotel and great location near the square and museums, but amenities and staff service was mixed. Restaurant hours were minimal, bar didn’t open till after 4pm, coffee in the lobby was not provided long enough in the mornings for guests, pool and hot tub closed for no reason at 3pm for an after-ski spa and calls to the front desk were answered but problem not resolved in any timely manner to use the facility.

They have a pool which is not functional. Customers should be made aware of this before booking is made. In the morning there was a long line to get the coffee in the lobby, and I think people waited 15 to 20 minutes before the pot was filled.

Hot tub was broken and room service didnt answer for 2 hrs so had to walk down to resturaunt. Drove 14hrs and I was looking forward to relaxing in the hot tub and having a nice dinner in the room since I had another 12hrs of driving the next day. Overall meh.

Stayed here for Spring Break. Pool was closed the entire time, bartender denied my valid vertical out of state ID, does not have a smart TV, and they charged a smoking fee when nobody smoked in the room and failed to resolve problem. Overall, if you are looking to spend 200 a night on a room, there are better options.

This property is in an enviable — an excellent location. Unfortunately, it’s tired and depressing inside: the interior hallway and room paint-scheme is far too dark; the interior carpet is worn, dark, and seems unclean. The furniture in the rooms are all different and it appears all were purchased at various garage sales. The elevator(s) shake. It’s depressing to see such a prime property in such a state of neglect. Walk 30 yards over to the Eldorado, and you will have the perfect example of a hotel that values its location and its guests.

As With most thing New Mexico, the landscaping around the hotel was really just natural weeds. There had been no attempt to remove the roots and add mulch. The tops were trimmed with a string trimmer and left where they fell. Most of the hotel was clean. However in our room the shower grout showed obvious signs of mildew. Especially in the corners. The hotel staff were great.

The mold in the shower, particularly the showerheads. We could not take a shower properly. We tries to get cleaning supplies but they wouldn’t give them to us and wanted someone to come in and clean after 8PM when we were settled into our room. On our anniversary. After traveling for the last 6 days.

Wasn't as good as I had hoped given the high room and parking price. Bathroom tiles are moldy. No extractor fan in the bathroom. The AC fan rattled noisily all night. Hotel needs new corridor carpets. Buikt-in alarm clock was set for 6am daily. Took 10 mins to figure out how to disable it. Nice beds and pool though.

Very run down Hilton. Dirty carpet, peeling wallpaper, ceiling peeling in the bathroom, poorly working AC, broken frig and no icemaker in hotel. They passed out ziplock bags of ice. Water from faucet was extremely cloudy and unsafe to drink. Stayed 4 nights and cleaning did a terrible / incomplete job each day despite us filing a complaint with the front desk. Front desk not helpful / rude. We were promised to get a refund on parking and 1 night stay for our troubles but did not get it when we checked out. Had to lodge a complaint with Hilton corporate to get any resolution as the hotel would not called me back.

The worst Hilton I have ever stayed at. -Was not given the room type I reserved -Room was extremely dark even with all the lights on. Could not leave the curtains open due to the proximity of the parking lot staff -No clock in room -Towels did not match -In room coffee creamer curdled in coffee -Mold in bathroom sink -Thin walls -Large pool only had 3 shade umbrellas. One of them was broken. -Very unprofessional staff. Several people inline at the desk. A women goes to the front of the line and carries on a personal conversation with the desk clerk. The desk clerk turns to the people in line and says "she is a VIP guest". Security guard YELLED at pool guests to move their chairs at least 3 feet from the pool. -I requested a reduced rate on my room and received no response.

My kids said they loved it. Great location and nice big rooms. Two suggestions - coffee machines in room and more lights. The rooms are a little dark. Otherwise terrific!!!

For the money I spent here, I would have expected soft-close doors on all the rooms. Instead, well into the night and starting early in the morning (including one memorable event at 3:00am) it was bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! I’ve had quieter stays at $90 just-off-highway motels. On top of this, while I realize I’m not a huge HHonors member, being given the room immediately off the lobby, with its own attendant noise, was kind of insulting, really. It’s a nice appearing property, and the location certainly contributes to the room rate, but if and when I’m back in Santa Fe, absolutely I’m staying at a different hotel.

So, in fairness, the hotel was less expensive than many of the other hotels in Santa Fe that weekend. It is fairly well-located and has a nice restaurant that comes in handy for a late night meal or glass of wine. However, the rooms are terribly dark--so much so that even with all the available lights on, you have to go into the bathroom to get dressed--let alone put on makeup or do your hair. The rooms are large. But the furniture is dark and heavy and because we were put on the first floor, we had to keep the drapes closed because cars were pulling into and out of parking spaces by my windows. The lobby is very blah. The front of the hotel has some seating but it looks as if it could use rejuvenation. Front desk staff were friendly but, overall, I am surprised that Hilton would keep this place--it is well below their usual standards.

The location was superb, the restaurant was very good, and the maid service was excellent. However the HVAC unit in our room was terrible. The compressor ran constantly even after we turned the unit off. It was so noisy it was hard to sleep. Maintenance came but could not resolve the issue. The front desk staff did give us complimentary breakfast for our stay as compensation.

Water in the first room would not get hot. Contacted them and didn’t get a response. Had to go to the desk. They ended up moving our room. Asked for a late checkout as an accommodation for the change because it didn’t occur until late and impacted the amount of sleep we were able to get after and before a long drive (as we are on a road trip), we needed sleep to be able to safely continue. We were told that wasn’t possible. I asked for a manager the next morning and was told that there was not one on duty. I messaged again on the number I was given and requested a manager contact me and still nothing. When I was at the desk 2 other guests were having similar issues, specifically they mentioned to me not having heat in their rooms and not being able to get any assistance. The front desk staff were ill-equipped to deal with such an issue and thus did nothing. I expected to hear from someone eventually and nothing (I have waited several days now). This was hands down the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel and maybe the worst customer service experience I have had.

Didn’t like that our reservation was moved from a single king room to a double room. The front desk was able to switch us to a king room for our last night but still wasn’t enough to make up for the inconvenience of being booked in a double adjoining room and having to pack and move rooms. Front desk stated that the bookings through Expedia were used to fill the left-over rooms making it seem that customers booked through 3rd parties were treated like second-rate customers despite also being Hilton Honors members for over 10 years. If we were looking for just a “place to crash” we would’ve booked a more budget-friendly hotel. After driving all day for a long weekend-getaway, the last thing a couple wants is sleeping in separate beds on Valentine’s Day.

Checking in took 40 mins due to a man and his son trying to get a better rate and changing their rooms three times. The clerk wasn’t sure what he was doing so he had to call the manager on his cell phone. He should have told them that he needed to check us in since we were waiting over 40 mins. We finally left to go eat and we were too late for the restaurant.

My bill included bar charges that I did not incur. The reception staff insisted these charges were mine, even though I never set foot in their bar—I don’t even know where it is. At this point, the issue has not yet been resolved. I’m starting to suspect that the hotel might be charging guests for services they did not use as a common practice.

Well located but tired/dated hotel. Bedding was not crisp and was stained. Room service knocked on our door 3 times at 8 pm and woke us. Staff was very attentive and friendly especially in reception and the Ortiz restaurant where we had a nice buffet breakfast.

Our welcome was excellent. Friday afternoon front desk staff were very helpful and welcoming, but i went downhill fast fro there. In the night of Friday. That the A/C started blowing hot air!. We reported to front desk who sent an engineer. We sure leaving to sight see and he engineer assured us he would rest the AC and come back to be sure it was operating. When we returned at 7:00PM it was 90 degrees in the room and ac was still blowing for air AND our room hadn’t been serviced. Fritz desk assured us they would get the AC fixed while we were sat dinner but since no housekeeping was available he would have towed for us when we returned fro dinner. You guessed it, no towels, HOT room and new desk clerk who was beyond unhelpful. There girly was sold out so no room to one to. He didn’t offer any solution but a fan for the room and was hostile! Said I had to speak to the manager the next morning. He couldn’t do anything to help us. We couldn’t sleep in the room so found another hotel (without their help). Returned in the morning to an even more unhelpful and belligerent desk clerk who refused to speak to us. Walked away and said he hoped we would be gone when he returned. There was NO management on site over a sold out weekend. I left a voice mail for the manager who did not return either. If my 2 calls. He sent an email apologizing and patting me 10000 Hilton points. Completely the worst experience I’ve ever had in any. Hotel in 40 years of travel. Finally refunded Saturday.

Incompetent front desk staff. They could not locate my pre-paid Expedia reservation. Then, after about 30-min discussion, the pre-payment was allegedly accepted, and yet, I was charged for the room again, and the charges on my credit card do not match the settled bill that I have requested at the check-out. It borderlines to the fraud, since one of the staff members (at the front desk on Sunday, 8/3/2025 morning) refused to achnolaged my pre-payment, stating that the erroneous charges are intentional. In addition - the same staff member hanged up on me, when I insisted on my pre-payment claim. Terrible experience, probably the worst I ever had in years of my extensive travel.

I explored numerous options for lodging in Santa Fe and chose the Hilton Santa Fe Historic Plaza. I've stayed at the Hilton in the past and like that it's centrally-located to numerous restaurants and shops, and easy to get to from I-25. I liked that it offered on-site parking and had a nice restaurant located in the hotel. I brought some work with me on this trip and it was very quiet so I could work without the noise interruptions.

This is a great place to stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. We only ate breakfast in the restaurant but is was very good as well. The only negative was the pillows, you head sunk all the way to the bed.

This hotel has excellent restaurant and bar. Great breakfast assortment. Paid parking lot and only two blocks to Santa Fr plaza. Several great eating establishments within three blocks of hotel. Rooms clean, quiet and friendly staff.

We had a good stay. The staff we friendly and helpful. The restaurant was very good. However, this was not "Hilton" in the traditional sense of luxurious. Lighting in the room, especially the bathroom was poor. Coffee goes away at noon.
