First valet didn't want to help with luggage cart, the bathroom handle fall off and the pool area was messy towels everywhere Drinks at the pool bar were very very expensive and not made correctly I questioned the drinks on why some were filled halfway He said," That was how they came" I still tipped 20% He had his local friends hanging out at the pool bar which I find very unprofessional. When we had dinner at the Hotel and Breakfast some staff were nice and some were very very slow The check out Valet were very pleasant Pool area needed a lot of attention Would I go back ? Probably yes

We had a wonderful less than 24 hours at La Posada with our 13year old & 2year old Golden Doodle - love that they allow dogs, have multiple restaurants & a heated saltwater pool & hottub. & it's so pretty!!

La Posada is a beautiful, historic property, very convenient to the main action in old town. We went in mid March so couldn't enjoy the grounds that people compliment (dormant vegetation and fountains turned off). Contrary to negative reviews about room condition and quality, our king fireplace suite was in perfect condition other than a problematic sofa sleeper. The spa is really nice and we enjoyed our spirit of Santa Fe treatment, which, by resort standards was very reasonably priced. Our only gripe was the hot tub (a key reason we selected La Posada) was badly in need of water treatment and cleaning (they promised to credit our resort fee).

It was all so easy. The worst thing, not that bad, was the steam room is only open while the spa is open. The room we stayed in you could hear people outside. We enjoyed our visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room we selected was pretty tight but nice. The bed was incredibly comfortable. I would suggest not getting the lowest priced room. The bigger rooms are not that much more and I believe are absolutely worth it. The property, its location, and every bit of staff here are exceptional. We will absolutely book here again and next time will stay longer. The restaurants and bars at the hotel are wonderful. Don’t skip them. Another highlight - free valet and a free shuttle within 2 miles for pickup and drop off. This is priceless as parking and valet around town is difficult and expensive.

This property is on 6-acres with southwestern architecture and beautiful grounds. We enjoyed all that La Posada de Santa Fe offers, including a fitness center, a spa, several restaurants/bars, and a heated pool as well as a hot tub. It is also located within walking distance to the old town/plaza area of Santa Fe with its museums, shops and restaurants. The staff members are very friendly and work to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. We plan to return.

The staff from front desk to valet to housekeeping were all wonderful. They accommodated us for an estly checkin which was great. The lobby was very nicely decorated Hotel is in easy walking distance of the main square with lots of shopping and dining options. Things went bad once we reached our overpriced king suite. There was no elevator which we were not told ahead of time. Die to physical limitations, I could not help my husband bring suitcases upstairs and on one bad pain day, could barely get myself upstairs. The carpets in entry, staircase and landing were filthy. In 3 days, the landing was never vacuumed with some sort of blue plastic trash scattered from check in to check out. Our king suite had dirty carpet with holes in several areas. Furniture was dated and uncomfortable with cobwebs covering the front window. Bathroom did not have a single rack to hang towels either by sink or tub. Sink was cracked and stained. Not enough plugs in bedroom to plug in 2 cell phones and table only on one side of the bed so hubby put a desk chair to set his phone and water bottle. The bed was comfortable with full pillows and nice linens so there was one plus. This property is not the quality you would expect from a Marriott Bonvoy and certainly not at the prices charged. I seldom leave a negative review but was very disappointed with this stay.

We had the BEST time at La Posada! Our room was lovely! The service was incredible! The food and drinks were great! A special thank you to Walter and Gerardo for taking such good care of us! Service was great from the front desk to the servers such as Angel and Betsy! Thank you all! One thing I will say that needs work is the housekeeping. They never showed up to clean and I had to call later in the day. All the young housekeepers were deep in conversations on their cell phones which is very unprofessional. They should not be seen/heard having conversations while working. Other than that it was perfect! Loved Santa Fe!

Wonderful staff. Our first night was not what we expected. The room was rather small with a large air conditioning unit inside. It had multiple steps to get up to the room which my husband could not do. They moved us the next morning to a much nicer room with a patio, which rich much appreciated. We enjoyed our stay.

We liked the location of the hotel. It was peaceful and quiet. We did not like the room: too dark, constand loud running ac, "tired" bathroom and bedding. Staff parked cars on the sidewalk and left a garbage bag in front of our room for 24 hours. Not impressed. We really wanted to like it more but did not.

The convenience was great, but the layout of the room made it impossible to enjoy the fireplace or watch the TV with any comfort. 2 uncomforatble chairs in the corner faced the fireplace, and the TV faced the side of the bed and away from the 2 chairs. The toilet was litereally infront of the sink- we could wash our hands as we went to the bathroom. I think they might want to rethink the bedroom layout.

Very, very small. Dark! No storage for clothes or suitcases. Safe didn’t work even after two attempts for staff to fix it. On a positive side, we were able to cancel six nights of our stay and get refunded quickly. Some might like rustic feel of the hotel but it was just too very cramped for us.

La Posada is a beautiful facility that honors the setting and history of Santa Fe. That said, it seems that the resort relies too much on its image and not enough on its clientele. Our room, like others was quaint and "old Santa Fe" in style, but VERY dark and poorly lighted (at time we needed flashlights to find things in our luggage) and VERY limited in storage space. These things could be improved without compromising the style. The staff (especially the shuttle team) was friendly and helpful in most cases--no complaints at all except for the pool bar staff who were either not on duty or blase. I paid $8 for a vodka tonic that was flat and tasteless. When I commented to the pool barman, he just shrugged.

Really liked the old Southwest hacienda ambiance of the property and being able to walk to the Plaza. We were traveling with another couple so this review is about both rooms. Both were King and both were clean, however, there was a great disparity between them. Ours was smaller and in need of refurbishing. It lacked a bench or anywhere to open a suitcase other than the bed and we could not comfortably watch TV from bed. The biggest differences was the bathrooms. Our friends’ was beautiful, all new, spacious, with a 6 ft double sink, a walk in shower, beautiful tile, even a bidet. Ours, like a budget motel: just a tub- shower combo w/ no safety bars to get in & out. The sink area was tiny and poorly lit. The only towel hook was out of my reach from the tub. If this sounds nit-picky, we are “advanced” in age and my hubby uses a cane. The hotel assigned us the room without telling us of its limitations, As we were early check- ins, there was no reason not to. We all found the desk personnel to fall short on warmth and hospitality: matter-of-fact and curt: not a “Good morning, or “How are you” from one of them. Would we go back? Probably. But we’d be sure to ask questions about the room we were getting beforehand.

Power was out when we arrived, which was fine. We were told that we could stay at sister hotel. Went to sister hotel and they wanted to charge us suite price for a standard room. Overall, staff was very disorganized. Had it been me in charge, I would have been ready to accommodate my guests and communicate with the partner hotel. Sloppy execution all the way around. Ended up at La Fonda and experinece was perfect.

Stay here for a convenient, walkable location to the square and downtown. The property needs a culture shift though from can-don't so don't expect a smooth guest experience. Front desk has no cash drawer for valet tipping, so valets make change from their wallets clogging up the valet stand. Bartender was downright Eeyore to every customer. Room was never vacuumed during 3-night stay and amenities never refreshed. It took 2 days to get Kiva fireplace-sized wood refill - fought too large wood that smoked out the room and sent ashes around it. Etc.

Have been going to La Posada for 20 years. A unique place with a lot of charm. Service, the restaurant and historic house bar was always a treat, however since taken over by Marriott, service and food service is not nearly as good as it was under previous management

Loved it for how pretty the campus is and how cool the rooms are. Wood burning fireplaces with pinion wood at the ready is so charming. A little on the rustic side, but that is intentional. Great stroll to the Santa Fe square and shops. Great location!

One of my favorite Sanra Fe hotels with a wide variety of rooms ranging from magnificent to, well, meh. staff is helpful and cheerful. Grounds are lovely. Because it is a walled compound you want to avoid rooms on the walls, some of which look out on work areas. Great location.

Location is nice but for the price the staffing, in particular the restaurant was very poor. We were there mid week and waited to be waited on for breakfast for over 15 mins after being seated by a hostess. Repeated signaling to any wait staff was ignored. Finally 20 mins. in we just got up and left.

The location, the grounds and the lovely Staab House bar were the best things about the stay. Our king bed fireplace room was fine but very small. Plastic cups in the bathroom and paper cups for the a espresso felt a bit like a typical budget hotel, not a luxury resort. There was an industrial motor/humming sound much of the night in our room. On the bright side, we had the pool and hot tub to ourselves on February 1! Every staff person was excellent— friendly and helpful.

This is a beautiful resort with lots of amenities. The staff was professional and friendly. We ate at Julia for breakfast; the service was impeccable, and the food was excellent. This property is within walking distance to the plaza.
