Travelodge by Wyndham Elko NV

The cleanliness was horrible. The building is in disrepair. The carpet in the hallway is 40 years old. The rooms were out of date and dirty. Would you sit in these chairs???

Extremely worn down property. Bad area. The breakfast was not good either. Bed was comfortable and shampoo etc. Provided. Free bag of micro popcorn that was a nice touch

Checked in and once I saw the room, had to find another better kept location. The carpet in hallway to the rooms was torn in multiple places and potential tripping hazards covered in duct tape. The room smelled of mildew, the curtains were shredded. Worse hotel I've ever seen.

I did not stay, as upon check in i was informed that because i'm a local resident this hotel demands a $350 CASH ONLY deposit. I have a hard time believing that Wyndham Corp is aware of this stipulation. Building interior is in horrible condition, carpet is torn and filthy. If this is the new standard for Wyndham, they better believe i will never even consider staying at any of their properties.

The property is in decline. Carpet in the room and hall stained and worn. Safety lock on room door broken. Bed and linen okay. The lights between the beds had been unplugged and the clock. Wi-Fit connection spotty. The rear entry way not well lighted and door didn't close easily and propped open by smokers. I would not stay there again.

The facility could use some care. The carpets in the hallways are becoming thread bare. Couldn’t get the remote to work

The property is really in a bad condition. Everything is really old and falling apart. Carpet are in very bad condition. Other than that the stuff and the surrounding area are great.

I with the front desk worker and they explained why this hotel is about $100 less than the other hotels a minute walk away, has torn up hallway carpets, permanently unlocked exit doors, but good showers, good and clean beds, warm rooms, and good breakfasts. The hotel caters to the local miners who surge in and expect a good bed, good shower, and good food but not a pool, hot tub, good carpets, etc, but like saving money. While my review metrics my seem poor I would stay here again because I need a bedroom, shower, and breakfast. The additional stuff isn't necessary for me but would be for my wife and kids.

It didn’t have bed bugs but there were other types of bugs. There were bugs in the bedding and bathroom. The bathroom was filthy. The tub was covered in back stains. The carpets were not clean. All the countertops were dirty. There was rotting food in the fridge. The place was a dump. The staff was nice.

The facility and room was very dirty and I did not stay there after viewing the room.

To start, checking in took about 45 mins (I was second in line). The ‘secured’ hallway door did not close properly, most of the lights in the room did not work (only the bathroom and vanity lights worked), and the toilet and bathtub looked like they have not been scrub in a decade. There was mildew all over the wall of the bathroom.

The staff is attentive and nice, and the location is very convenient for the convention center. But the hotel is quite old and poorly maintained. The carpeting is stained, the bathrooms are moldy and the rooms are drab.

The property was run down, dirty, dysfunctional, and uninhabitable. I left a day early because it was so bad and they refused me a refund.

Water out of faucet was black, spots of blood on sheets. Horrific. Checked out and went somewhere else. It’s cheap, but worth spending an extra 15-20 bucks to not get bed bugs. Days later and I’m still in awe of how bad it is.

This motel was the worst we've ever stayed at. We thought Travelodge would be a good choice, as they used to have a positive name recognition.The desk person would not give us a ground floor room, saying he had none left, but the motel was half empty. The stairs and hall leading to the room had filthy and worn carpeting, torn down the middle, and places where it was duct taped. The room smelled bad, like stale cigarette smoke. The room carpet was disgustingly filthy. The bathroom ceiling was covered with fungus. The bathtub was black with dirt. One set of towels had reddish brown streaks on them. The coffee pot was dirty, I didn't bother to check the coffee maker at that point. The microwave was dirty inside, and very old, although it did work. There was no smoke detector, just wires hanging from the ceiling where it used to be. We feel completely ripped off. There should be a law protecting people from this kind of thing. We're just hoping there weren't any bedbugs. Wyndham appears to be the slumlord of motels, as we stayed at a Super 6 in Rapid City on this same trip, and it wasn't much better. It seems Wyndham buys up aging, worn out motels, and doesn't do any renovation, just collects the proceeds from people they sucker. So Expedia must share some responsibility for this travesty. We will NEVER stay in a Wyndham property again.

The room is truly unacceptable—dirty carpets, a moldy bathroom, filthy, stained chairs, and toenails in the bed. If I had not driven 8 hours, I would have found another place to stay and paid the cost.

We checked into our room. First thing I noticed was that some of the base boards in the room were not attached to the wall. Some had even fallen flat on the floor. Then I noticed that the floor was not clean. There were debris and even coins on the floor. When I walked on it with my bare feet my feel could feel the dirt and grime. I understand why properties have gone to hard surface floors but at least clean them. The Hall way carpet needs to be replaced. Thread bare down the middle for the halls. I was not happy at all.

Inexpensive room ,clean but badly needs redone. Comfy bed and linens. Needed carpets and electrical work.

Only so much to be expected in a cheap hotel. The one big concern i saw was the broken door locks

The highlight was how quiet the place was. There was nothing special about this place. It is old, worn, and absolutely dated, but, just like any other place, you get what you pay for. I will never stay here again, because it is too old and worn. It could use carpet removal, new curtains or shades, some serious tlc. Here’s the curtains!! See photo.

This room was ok, reasonably priced for its condition. But the carpet in the hallway was ripped and filthy. (We did hear that "flooring" was being replaced in the adjacent Super 8 so maybe they have plans soon for this the hall carpet?) The room was clean but dated, same with the bathroom. Little things came to our attention (such as no ice bucket, etc.) but we were only there for one night and out of there early in the morning so we weren't that uncomfortable there. We've had better and we've had worse. There are so many hotels in Elko, we think because of its proximity to I80 (and max driving time, 10 hours by car from the SF Bay Area), that in comparison to those, this hotel seems to have fallen on hard times. The staff was friendly and efficient.

You get what you pay for however, our tv would not work the sinks faucet was not consistent with temp or pressure the showers/ tub temp was not adjustable and there was very little pressure from the crusted showers heady

The Roku TV made it possible for me to catch up with Apple TV shows.

My hotel room didn’t have a screen or a lock on the window. There also wasn’t an inside lock on the door of the hotel room. I stayed with my dog, who is very protective, otherwise I would have checked out and found a safer and better kept property. Be aware, you get what you pay for.

One of the ladies that worked at the front desk was not professional she was ready to throw a person out for complaining about his bad knee and needed a first floor. Told the guy "if you don't like it go somewhere else".

Ladies at the front desk are not helpful not professional and there ready to kick people out.

The ladies at the front desk were not at all welcoming. They didn't smile or even stand up when we came to the desk. The young man who checked us in was great. The property is very old and the hallway carpet is worn out. There were stains on our chairs.

Clean property and rooms. Old building, older carpet. Dish receiver sporatic. Wifi good. Get there before 8 for breakfast. Good place to stay, in downtown lots to do in all directions. Shopping close by.

I love the fact that we had privacy and the room was awesome and it was Pretty central to everything in Elko. I would would to come back soon

This motel is close to the Elko Convention Center, as well as a couple nice restaurants within walking distances. Easy access to downtown Elko as well.

It was the cheapest place to stay. But, then, you get what you paid for. Front desk staff never smiled. I had to change rooms because the TV did not work. Carpets are torn. Was quiet and bed was comfortable.

I like because it located in the middle of the town. I don't like it because the place is old and everything in the room is very old and dirty.

I loved their breakfast. They had omelettes and a lot of other options. They order their food two times a week so it’s more fresh. A lot of breakfast options at Travelodge and access to breakfast next-door. They had biscuits and gravy at the motel 8. Quiet at night and really close to a park which we liked for our dog.

It wasn't the best, but it was nice and cheap so well worth the price. I would suggest planning on going out somewhere for breakfast, the hotel breakfast left much to be desired. Chicken sausage links in a crock pot and pre-cooked eggs you could warm up in the microwave.

The first room they gave us nothing worked the fridge, the coffee maker , the tv all dint work. The next room everthing worked. The tv was so small we set it up on the refrigerator so we could see it, the coffee maker had the used filter and old coffee still in it from the previous occupants. The carpet was so disgusting we left a day early and the hallways stunk and so did the stairwells. The free breakfast was pretty good though

All staff were helpful & courteous. Breakfast was very good & breakfast area was very clean. Room is a bit dated, but it was very neat & clean. It was very quiet so sleep was good. A couple of the lights were out, but had enough working so it was ok. You need to replace the curtain. There are cracks in the lining. I would recommend this facility to friends & relatives. Very good value.

The property pictures are needing to be updated because the carpets were in terrible condition, and the bathroom was moldy and dirty. The great thing is is the beds were comfortable, and the hotel was quiet. The breakfast that is provided is not sufficient because a large family came in early and took everything and it wasn’t replaced.

They had a nice continental breakfast.

This place had old torn up carpet, no smoke detector, toilet ran excessive. Breakfast selection was decent but no hot eggs and meat as stated there would be before breakfast was over. Had to get breakfast elsewhere after counting on it being available.

Kids smoking weed in the parking lot. Abandoned car in the handicap. Sink faucet spins all the way around and you have to guess at hot, cold it off. Carpets are frayed and then torn. Carpets appear to be 50 years old. Breakfast are tiles popping up. Food is cold and frozen in crockpots at 8am. Coffee machine and lobby restroom out of order. Carpet around bed smelled of urine. Appears to be an hourly motel for locals based in the sign for locals staying and the excessive cash deposit for locals. This place is a disgrace and a dump!!!!
