Lake View Motel

The 3 tier property has an amazing view of the the lake. Beach access was nice to relax at and take in the beautiful scenery. Kids enjoyed the floating dock and swimming.

A great stay for HOF weekend. Very clean and comfortable. Very nice swimming area and plenty of sleeping space.

There is a beautiful view of Lake Otsego. The Lake View has lounge chairs and a small dock area where you can relax. Very nice, and a good value.

My family very much enjoyed our stay here! The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, and it was easy to get to. The proximity to Cooperstown worked very well for us, as did the ability to fish right across the street from the property - my son and I spent a good deal of time casting from the docks. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The property is beautifully situated. It's convenient to the Cooperstown amenities. A couple of the parking spaces are a bit challenging.

This property offers a sanctuary on Otsego Lake. It is clean and offers lovely amenities including paddle boats and a private beach/swimming area. They also had fishing poles ready to go. Their staff is courteous and very kind. We felt like family and beloved guests.

The lake front docks are amazing!!!

Check-in was efficient and helpful. Enjoyed the walk to the lake and sitting on the pier. Not swanky but would stay there again, no question.

It was noisy because it was right on the road. The view was limited because of electric lines. The blankets on the bed were dirty and had hair on them. The floor in the bathroom had a dip in the tile in front of the sink. Very dated, could use a good cleaning.

I found this to be very nice, quiet. The room was spacious and very clean. The refrigerator and microwave was a great convenience. Coffee was avaliable in the office in the morning. The view from the cute outdoor was beautiful.

Good, clean, simple accommodations. Art and his wife are great hosts. I would stay again.

Motel was great! Great view of lake, the room was very clean, check-in was easy and the office staff was friendly and informative. The only reason for not 5 stars is it’s dated and the beds weren’t that comfortable.

We woke up to a breathtaking view of the lake from our bed. Bed was very comfortable, no neck sore in the morning. Lady in the lobby was very nice and friendly. The only downside is that bed sheets had lots of small hair. We ended up getting extra blankets from our car and slept on them.

My family and I stayed in the Lake View Motel for 2 nights so we could visit the Baseball HOF. We read the good reviews online, so we were pretty surprised at how wrong they were almost immediately. First off, the staff is nice, and does the best they can with what they have. After our pleasant check in, it all went down hill. The motel is old and not updated. Upon entering the room, we all tracked in gravel onto the matted carpet from the parking lot which means you are stepping on small, sharp rocks throughout your stay. It’s summer and the room was musty and hot because there’s no central AC - only a small window box AC in the wall which was not on when we arrived. Any time there’s an unventilated room, that is not air conditioned or does not have a way to mitigate moisture in the air means that it has mold. Whether you can see it or not, you are breathing it in. A moisture detector, mold detector or a humidistat would work to check it - that must be the musty smell. Because of the moisture, the room carpet was damp the entire stay, and none of the towels dried after being hung up in the bathroom after use. This is an old motel so the staff cleans what they can but they can only do so much. They also give you 1 key which doesn’t work on the deadbolt so the room isn’t very secure. Finally, the location is a 6 mile drive north of town, which is kind of far and is deer riddled. We didn’t go to the beach across the street but the view on the lake is lovely.

This is a nice relatively inexpensive motel. Clean and well kept

The room smelled like mildew and bleach to me. The bathroom floor was soft. The closet floor molding was looking as if it was rotten, mildewed and cleaned with bleach. There was mildew under the glass of a photo hanging over the bed. I just had a 1 night stay. The room was adequate for that. I let person in office know when i checked out. They did not seem interested.

Staff was very friendly. Check-in and check-out were very easy. Convenient parking right in-front of our room. Lake was stunning across the road from property. Weather didn’t permit us to explore the outdoors. There were two double sized beds in our room. Unfortunately, one mattress was noisy and lumpy.

It's an old motel across the road from the lake. The staff was friendly. The sheets were clean. The room was small for four but it was fine. The shower was more like a mist but we got clean.

The view was amazing and very peaceful staff friendly but beds need improvements as they were very noisy making it hard to sleep every time you moved them made a lot less f noise

Friendly, helpful staff. Easy 10 minute drive to downtown Cooperstown. Lovely view of the lake. Quiet…. Room was clean and albeit small, it was adequate - we were only there to sleep - that being said, Mattress and box springs need to be updated big time to provide comfort to weary travellers.

This was a nice place and Cooperstown a nice spot. It is a old country motel in essence so you have to know your staying in a part of history. Aside from the lcd tv the place could be a 1960s time warp. Thats part of the charm for me. The lakefront is beautiful.

Soft sheets; clean bathroom; nice television, microwave, and frig. The room is very small and there is no porch with chair or real view of the lake without going outside, the window is very dirty. I've stayed here before and was very pleased, not so much this time and wouldn't stay here again.

The room is dated but very comfortable and clean. The staff were so friendly and helpful. You are about 6 miles from town, there is an amazing restaurant 3 miles from the hotel. Very quiet, peaceful with a beautiful view of the lake.

Some areas need updating but overall it was clean, Willis at check in was amazing and we just loved it overall. Will stay again when we come back to the area.

One of the most friendly and efficient check in's I've ever experienced. Willis was great! If I didn't know better, I would say that Willis is an perfected AI generated bot. He seemed to anticipate our arrival, had friendly and humorous anecdotes about the area and made us feel genuinely valued. I recommend this property highly.

The desk attendants were VERY friendly and helpful. The room was simple, yet comfortable. Great view of the lake. Access to a beach was available but we unfortunately had no time this trip. Would stay there again in the future.

I've spent the last 10 years coming to Cooperstown and staying a little further down the road, but when my regular hotel kept raising prices, I started looking for other options. This was a great location, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the view of the lake was perfect. I'm already planning to stay here again on my next visit to the area.

We booked this hotel largely based on reviews from Hotels.com and because it offered close access to and views of Lake Ostego. The motel's primary asset are the friendly employees, particularly Willis and Jeremy. Also, the proximity to Lake Ostego is fantastic. Past that the motel doesn't offer very much. It is at least a ten minute drive (5 miles) from downtown Cooperstown to the motel and there are no restaurants anywhere near the location (seriously) and the furnishings, while clean, are very old and pretty antiquated. In a way this is charming but overall I would suggest that the ownership invest in some upgrades. For example, there was a touch tone desk phone and the hotel charged .50 per call. There are no cellphone charging ports in the room - USB or otherwise. (There were plenty of electrical outlets, however). The bedspread, while clean, was rather old looking as was the small couch in the room. During our one night stay, the electricity went out twice - once in the night and again around 10:00 the next morning. The young man at the desk was unsure why. Using the bathroom and taking a bath in the dark is challenging, to say the least. To be fair, the bed was comfortable and the room smelled clean and fresh. There was a coffee pot in the room though we didn't use it. Had we been closer to food, it would have been a much more pleasant stay, the loss of electricity notwithstanding. If you want to fish, it's a great location, but bring your own food.

The motel had a beautiful view of the lake. Our room was up on the hill. Nice, covered porch to sit out on. The only thing we didn't like was the light on outside our room. The curtains weren't heavy enough to block the light.

Very retro hotel clean good size room. Beautiful view of lake but not walkable for us. We drove car down and easy to park at “beach”. Crystal clear lake tough to get up ladder back onto dock. Convenient to Cooperstown but away from crowds. No phone service but used WhatsApp to make calls. Internet good.

I called to inform them we would be arriving after hours. The directions on how to get our key was spot on, easy and convenient. Our room had a partial view of the beautiful lake and mountains. The room was very clean but a bit old and outdated but in this motel that’s the charm of it. The following morning the young man at the front desk was a big help with his suggestion for where to go for breakfast. We went to the Lake Front Resaurant and Bar in Cooperstown. The food was good and the view was beautiful. I wish we could have stayed more than one night.

Beautiful views. Our room was on 2nd floor of 2 story unit. So hard for my husband to climb up. Nice enough room. Everything we needed except breakfast. Coffee in room horrible. At least that could be better. Glad we stayed the one night on our trip.

loved the property and view and amenities. unfortunately to dine out or purchase items had to drive 25 minutes to Cooperstown, but was still enjoyable

Not a lot of reasonable choices in and around Cooperstown. This very basic room cost over $200. It wasnt worth more than $75. No breakfast. Crowded cluttered small room. Noisy ac right near head of bed ran constantly.

Priced accordingly. We were there for summer tournament at Cooperstown Field of Dreams. 20 min drive. Dining by the lake at the Blue was great. Only complaint I have is people parking wherever they wanted instead of in front of their unit. Management said there are no assigned parking spaces. Really? Goes without saying. Otherwise, it was an ok experience.
