Convenient, clean place for me to stay when visiting my son at nearby Alfred University. Staff is always friendly. Workout room is nice. Only issue this visit was the breakfast was a little lacking in options.

I’ve stayed here many times as it is the closest and nicest place to stay when I am visiting or moving my son in or out of his college. I recognize some of the staff who have been working there for the last couple years and they are very friendly and helpful. My room was very clean as was the workout facility and the pool.

The check in process was slow in the evening. Person was fine just seemed overwhelmed. Additional morning/check out staff helpful. Room was large and as described. A definite plus and was clean. Refrigerator was larger than most and microwave was also a nice size. Bathroom products good quality. The hotel area is not one I would stay in again. Our room faced someone’s back yard. Parking was limited. We arrived at night and didn’t see until am. Didn’t get to have breakfast other guests were hovering and stacking food and we had a time limit. This was part of college visit and we have been staying at different hotels and types. This best western was nice and if in a different area would recommend more.

Check was fast and easy, many options for the continental breakfast, pool area was clean. Definitely recommend bring snacks/drinks with you as there is no vending at this location. Says they offer drinks and snacks for purchase in main lobby but its very limit there was hardly anything there. 3 bags of cheese puffs and a few drink options

The pool was a little small but we were the only ones there. The breakfast provided was great. Check in was very slow. The room was a decent one. Large fridge and microwave. Otherwise average but clean. Rate was high for what it was, but it was also graduation weekend. Would stay again at a lower rate.

Room wasn't clean. Found garbage and an old sneaker under the bed. When we tried to check out - we waited 15 minutes for someone to actually show up at the front counter. Tried calling to follow up on some missing luggage and no one has answered the phone ALL DAY.

We've stayed here several times due to college visit. Just ok. Parking and convenience is great. Our room this time was not fully clean. We may or may not stay here next time. Pricing is good and great diner down the street.

It smelt terrible like cigarette smoke, and must. Which caused the room to feel like it was dirty. The reception was cold at first but I kept trying to at least make her smile. Not clean. It just smelled and felt dirty.

Hotel is convenient for an overnight stay while moving our son into his dorm. The woman who checked me in is always pleasant. The calking around the bathroom was very moldy. The rest of the room and the lobby were clean.

The stay at the Best Western in Hornell was Excellent. The rooms were spotless, the workers were pleasant and courteous and they made our stay special. Wish every hotel could be like this.

Would gave been good except saggy bed and ac/heater didn't work properly - setting said 61 and it was more like 91. No way to turn it down except for turning it off. Temp and bed comfort are pretty high on my list for important hotel room features. Sorry about this review but I hope this is helpful for them or for others. Dont get room 119.

The room was clean and spacious and the beds were comfortable. The heating and AC unit was a bit loud and the fan in the bathroom was very loud. There was also a lot of noise from the hallway and adjoining rooms that could be heard. It is very close to train tracks but only hear the train whistle during the day.

Stay was good. But hotel was run down- ceiling was peeling and falling apart. We were given a handicap room which is fine but we didnt need one. We could hear everyone above us move. And the shower made the bathroom floor a mess

I went to check in the front desk said she didn’t have my reservation, when I went to ask if she would like to see my confirmation number or use any of the information I had available to show her my reservation. She said no then tried to charge me more than what I had been quoted on the ap with tax. The morning staff was also very rude and complained about their job for the breakfast line. For the room it was clean but the bathroom had paint peeling on the ceiling and walls. I don’t think I would stay here again.

The staff at the hotel were kind and helpful. However, the room was in disrepair as we turned on the heat and it smelled like something was burning and about the catch fire. In addition, the handle of the bathroom door was broken and would not lock. There were signs everywhere outside that the hotel is not responsible for your car and based on the surrounding area I could see why those signs are necessary. I got up at 3 AM to make sure my car and the items in it were still there! The hotel is ok, but not for the price we paid, but it’s really the neighborhood that is going to cause me to stay somewhere else next time.

Arrived at the hotel an hour early and they allowed us to checked in. The staff were friendly. The hotel is a bit older but well maintained and clean. Decent breakfast selection. It was a great stay. Will definitely book again the next time we visit in the area.

Upon check-in the person at the desk checked us in under the wrong reservation. the night manager woke us up at 11:30pm to correct the problem. The room smelled like dirty dog. The floor looked like it wasn't vacuumed, old candy wrapper and other stuff on the carpet. The desk looks like it was wiped with a dirty rag. Upon check out, I was passed off to three different people to try and find out if my credit card was charged for the other room. I was told no but they never could totally guarantee it wasn't. This hotel is probably the worst BW we ever stayed at.

They charged me twice for my room! And now they are telling me they didn’t even after sending them my bank account information and withdrawals! Also, the room was not clean, mold on the bathroom ceiling & No shampoo in our dispenser. Lastly, they are NOT kid friendly staff- rude and lazy!!!!

No id was asked upon checking in which raises a concern for safety. All i gave was my name which means anyone can check in . The front desk clerk sniffling all over the place. , my room was mediocre , sheets with stains toilet dirty breakfast was not great at all. . Eggs and bacon microwaved. Maybe hire more staff , the “cook “ was also the front desk clerk as well as a cleaner . I’d love to request a refund.

The hotel was clean and orderly on the outside and inside. The receptionist was very nice and welcoming. Our room was as described, very clean. The pool area was nice. Breakfast was very good. There were two issues: the beds were very firm and there are railroad tracks nearby. The trains sounded their horn a few times through the night as they passed through. I'm a light sleeper so these things bothered me but I still think this hotel was really nice.

Staff extremely friendly and professional. Breakfast buffet was adequate, eggs and sausage a bit on the salty side but all in all a nice quick breakfast. Can't go wrong with bagels and cream cheese, waffles and fresh fruit. Location is convenient to restaurants and shopping. Especially recommend the Texas Cafe, great menu and staff. We also visited the the Bullseye Cafe, darts and axe throwing for the adventurous. For Veterans, the VFW is only a block away.

This is exactly the type of hotel I’m always looking for, not too expensive but has amenities like free breakfast, comfy bed with nice pillows, seating area and desk in the room. The bathroom has the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash attached to the shower wall, which I like too. Also, short drive into town and easy to take the back roads into Alfred from that location, but no places are walkable, like places to eat.

Since my reservation was made thru Expedia and I paid in advance - the hotel said they could not honor my AAA discount which was disconcerting to me. No attempt was made to adjust the rate and I saw no place on Expedia where it states this policy. I will not pay in advance again and will not book thru Expedia. Regarding hotel - at the breakfast buffet there was a bowl of oranges and some had big spots of fuzzy mold. The attendant was very anxious to shut things down slightly before 10:00 am.
