Stayed 8 nights

The hotel staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Breakfast was standard for a Hampton inn and very busy every morning but breakfast staff stayed on top of it and nothing was ever left empty. Housekeeping was wonderful and even left our souvenirs arranged adorably on one of our beds one day. Only one washer and dryer but they run a cycle pretty quickly. I was also pleasantly surprised at how quiet (relative to NYC) that this street was. We always felt safe walking around the area, to and from the subway and to eat. (The Excellent Dumpling House on 23rd was amazing.) Would definitely stay here again!

Stayed 3 nights

We stayed 3 nights. 1 of the 2 elevators was broken down the whole time. There was no breakfast even though previous reviews we read stated there was. The biggest issue was that we had an item stolen out of car. We left it there by accident. But the car was parked by valet in a secure facility. No signs of break in. Of course both the hotel and the valet took no responsibility and nothing was done. The items stolen were souvenirs from Harvard University - not sure we can get back that way. Very disappointing.

~ Check in was seamless. ~ Had issue over Fourth of July weekend with AC on a day when it was 102 degrees outside. Manager Jessie immediately changed my room. ~ AC had not yet been turned on in the new room but remedied with a call to front desk. Was cooled to 74 degrees on my return an hour later ~The tub was slow to drain. Notified desk at check out. Betsy was very apologetic and sent a follow-up email addressing my concerns ~ One elevator was out so only one in operation. Never waited more than 2-3 minutes for the elevator even with it being down to one ~No microwave in my room even though it was advertised as having a fridge and microwave ~The AC was out in the lobby so it made sitting downstairs or in the dining area unbearable as the “feel like” temperature outside was 110 degrees on these days and they left the hotel front doors open for circulation. They did have fans blowing on the front desk Breakfast score ~ 6/10 Breakfast day 1 - Turkey sausage links, scrambled eggs, french toast sticks, watery oatmeal, bagels, cream cheese, blueberry muffins, toast, small apples, clementine oranges, 3 types of cereal Breakfast day 2 - Kielbasa sausage, roasted potatoes with green & red peppers, (NO eggs), watery oatmeal, bagels, cream cheese, blueberry, oatmeal & bran muffins, toast, small apples, clementine oranges, 3 types of cereal I chose to eat breakfast outside of the hotel each day. I have had better stays at this hotel. This one was subpar. I will be back though.
