The breakfast area was optimal. There were plenty of food, the employees were pleasant. I love the fact there is a kitchenette so I could use the microwave to heat up my leftover dinner and coffee. The fitness center was fabulous...just what I needed to get my workout in. I highly recommend this place!

There's constructions it was a bit difficult. But when we found it the staffs were friendly and there was a public parking right across it was a bit cheap then the hotel. Both the hotel staffs and the Garage across was very nice and friendly.

The hotel is within walking distance to a lot. The room was very clean. Housekeeping came every other day. However there is construction going on, on the outside of building and we were unlucky and had them on our non assessable patio making loud noise. We would come back to the room for a mid day nap but it was impossible to nap because they were right on our windows making a ton of noise. Not sure why the hotel put people in the room they are doing construction on directly on the other side of the bedroom window. The bath water also came out yellow, so had to bathe my kids in yellow water.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at the Residence Inn Midtown East in April 2024. I traveled with my wife as well as my 11 year-old son and 74 year-old mother. We had a double room with was spacious enough for all of us. We were very pleased with the kitchenette with full refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and dishwasher. It was also equipped with a stovetop hob and cooking utensils, which we did not use. The staff at the hotel was fantastic. Everyone from the front desk team, breakfast and kitchen staff, housekeeping and bellhops, was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The quality and variety of the daily breakfast buffet were superb. We also made use of the guest laundry in the basement, which was very convenient. The location in Midtown Manhattan is very close to Grand Central Station, St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Rockefeller Center. We used the subway and Uber to get around and there are several stations on Lexington Avenue to easily access the trains from the hotel. There is a supermarket one block east on the corner of Second Avenue and 48th Street, where we purchased fresh fruit and bread to keep in the room. The hotel is also close to many restaurants for lunch and dinner. I would definitely stay at this property again on my next visit to New York and have no hesitation on recommending to anyone.

Really convenient location in midtown -- near the Metro and lots of restaurants and stores. The staff was friendly and helpful. The workout facility was surprisingly spacious for New York City. The complimentary hot breakfast was an added bonus. I would stay here for my next visit to NYC.

Had to stay an extra nt and booked last-minute. Every staff member I had interaction with was really kind and helpful. The room was clean and more spacious than I thought it would be. Did not need the kitchenette for such a short stay, but it was nice to note for future stays.

Staff is not friendly, if you have any issues. I would NOT stay here again. We got sick the first 2 nights with dirty water issues from the hotel. Then transferred to a different room with broken AC and broken ice maker in fridge that made horrible loud sounds for the entire night. They finally fixed the issue but where extremely rude about it.

Staff is great. Rooms are larger than most hotels in this price range. The exterior of the hotel is being renovated which they should alert people to on Hotels.com. As a result their HVAC system causes the room heat to be around 76 degrees. We never got a good nights sleep in the four days we were there. Do not stay there until they have it fixed.

My daughters and I were coming back to the city for an overnight to attend the theater. The room was exactly as described and pictured. Only a couple of issues. The key card didn’t work properly and the handle required a lot of force to push down to open the door. The other issue was the wifi was horrible. If you wanted better wifi you had to pay extra. Bc the wifi was so poor, it was virtually impossible to stream Netflix on the hotel tv. Lastly there wasn’t an exhaust fan in the bathroom which was odd bc there was a vent. The good: full size fridge and microwave, a dishwasher, utensils, kitchen sink. The beds were super comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was expansive and tasty. They do in fact have valet parking but there is an indoor parking lot across the street.

Beds were very comfortable. Loved the varieties of water they made and had out for guests. Great variety of breakfast items. Helpful hint for future guests: The bathroom exhaust fans barely work so if you want to try to drown out the road noises, you'll want to pack a small portable fan. White noise apps don't do a whole lot. Earplugs are a must for light sleepers.

The room was more spacious than I thought it would be. I especially appreciated being surprised by the balcony and many choices of lighting(great lamps!) My room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet and felt safe. I enjoyed the breakfast as well.

We should have been informed before booking and certainly before checking in that there would be a scaffold walkway and potential morning construction workers right outside of our window able to look in. When we got to the room and mentioned it, the hotel staff told me that the workers would be able to see in, which was completely incorrect, since the scaffolding walkway was literally inches from our clear window. When I asked about a different room, the staff person started interrogating me about whether I had touched the bed or anything else in the room, implying, that if the answer was yes, she wouldn’t move us. Ultimately, because of time constraints, we decided to take our chances and stay in the original room. Luckily, it’s 9:30 am and we haven’t yet seen the construction workers outside our window. But, a better warning and attitude would’ve been nice.

We spent two weeks at this location. Overall good experience although 4th floor was extremly loud (nighly garbage collection)from room facing street..avoid these rooms--seems you automatically get these when reserving through Expedia :-(. Excellent response from managment with a faulty AC. Problem was resolved in less than 30 minutes at midnight. Daily cleaning service was impecable. Highlight was daily full breakfast and friendly and courteous service from staff. Shout out to Carlos and Carmen during early morning breakfast hours, was a special treat to see them working dilligently every morning always making you feel at home.

Our family stayed at Residence Inn for 10 days. Check out is at noon and our international flight was not till the evening . Therefore we have asked the hotel if they can take care of our suitcases for the 3 hours so we don't have to rush out to the airport. When we returned back to the hotel one of our bags was gone. Oddly , it was a suitcase that had our new purchased clothes and a electronic. All our other bags with our dirty clothes were returned to us. This bag was targeted , purposely stolen! An employee of the hotel had tip someone. Anyway it is now almost 3 weeks since the accident and we haven't seen anything from the hotel. They had apologize but without any form of compensation - NOTHING. I understand that these things can happen but the hotel should take responsibility and show care for their guests. Our family stayed at Residence Inn for 10 days. Check out is at noon and our international flight was not till the evening . Therefore we have asked the hotel if they can take care of our suitcases for the 3 hours so we don't have to rush out to the airport. When we returned back to the hotel one of our bags was gone. Oddly , it was a suitcase that had our new purchased clothes and a electronic. All our other bags with our dirty clothes were returned to us. This bag was targeted , purposely stolen! An employee of the hotel had tip someone. Anyway it is now almost 3 weeks since the accident and we haven't seen anything from the hotel. They had apologize but without any form of compensation - NOTHING. I understand that these things can happen but the hotel should take responsibility and show care for their guests. The staff is just amazing at this property. We had a great checkin with a room given to us at 9am when we got there. The staff is always courteous and they take care of you. The location is also amazing with some top attractions in walking distance. We also enjoyed the breakfast everyday.

Stayed for 5 days over fourth of July and staff was attentive. Our flight was way early for check-in but they accommodated our family of 6 adults and 2 toddlers; holding our luggage and allowing us to find a corner to in the lobby to wait.

Really enjoyed this hotel. In a quiet area that’s a 15 minute walk from Times Square. Really good size rooms. Small well equipped kitchen. Free breakfast which we enjoyed. You can eat in the dining area or take a tray to your room. So convenient for late sleepers. No evening restaurant or bar but plenty of options around the hotel.

We chose this hotel because it’s so close to Grand Central Station, close to really amazing restaurants, walkable to Central Park and Broadway and Rockefeller Plaza, shopping and daily breakfast for our family of 4. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was very nice with lots and lots of options and some items change daily. The one thing I would like to see, not just at this hotel, but literally EVERY hotel - more hooks for bath towels!!! I mean, there were only two hooks and four damp towels. We always have to hang them from the tops of doors or chair backs or on a hanger in the closet, with not a lot of air flow. Whenever I see ample hooks for towels at a hotel, I just love it. But alas, no one ever thinks of this hardly. Residence Inn in Midtown was a lovely place to stay and we definitely would go back!

We stayed at the Residence Inn for 9 nights. The hotel was conveniently located 2 blocks from the Grand Central station when getting off the LIRR from the JFK/Jamaica connection. There is no need to take an expensive Uber/taxi ride. You are within a 6-block walking distance of the 4/5/6/E subway line to get you south or west to other parts of Manhattan or you can transfer data to another station. You are within walking distance of many top-name sites like Bryant Park/Rockefeller Center/Time Square. The hotel is located on the more quiet east side but there are enough people walking around at night that you never felt unsafe. The breakfast area was always busy but the staff worked very hard to clear the tables. I appreciate it was actual plates and silverware and not plastics you get at the cheaper hotels. We were at the highest non Penthouse floor (17th) and had a small glimpse of the top of the Chrysler building.

Very quiet hotel , could see the Chrysler building from our room , Times Square was a 10 minute walk from hotel . Great restaurants around hotel. Beds were very comfortable, and could not hear any street noise from room . If you want to be close to 5th ave, broadway shows , and Times Square with out the noise I highly recommended. We would stay again .

This is a great hotel in the perfect location and walking distance to Central Park, Grand Central station for using the subway to get around. Breakfast is fine given it is included, might be nice to include some more fresh items, we had cold tomatoes one morning which given we aren’t sweet/pastry people we enjoyed. Thoroughly recommend if visiting NYC

We stayed here for two days to attend a Broadway musical for the holidays. We have found our forever NY hotel! Wonderful service; spacious rooms with queen size beds; full service kitchenette was great for breakfast and late dinners. The complimentary breakfast included sausage, bacon, eggs, bagels, and a waffle bar!!! We will stay here again and again.

Everything about this hotel was perfect. The corner room has a small kitchenette with large fridge, stove, microwave, and sink. The room was spacious with a separate bedroom for privacy. I asked for extra linens for the pullout bed and they arrived in less than 10 minutes. The WiFi is good and the room was comfortable. The hot breakfast was amazing. Not a continental but with hot, fresh food. I will be staying here again and would recommend to a friend
