Good sized clean rooms and excellent location for shopping eating and to travel to other parts of the city. It’s right off the MTA and is super convenient. Parking is less than ideal because it is offsite with no valet services.

We loved the size of the room. We’re a family of 4 with two teenagers. The bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom were clean. They said they wouldn’t allow us to have a cot in the jr suite. I know there’s likely a reason for this but the front desk offered no explanation. My daughter wants a space to herself without her brother so she chose to sleep on the floor on top of the couch seats so she didn’t have to share the sofa bed. The hotel came up as a Times Square hotel but it’s really not. It was a hike to get to the theatre area. If I had wanted to be further away we would have stayed in Chelsea. The hotel lobby is nice and the building is historic but it has really small elevators so there was always a wait to get in one. Also, one of the elevators wasn’t working. The “view” in the Jr. Suite was of a very ugly courtyard. No reason to open the window blinds. It was depressing. So we likely wouldn’t stay here again but it was fine.

A classic hotel with a rich history, lovely staff and super facilities, including a good gym. Breakfast at the Bronze Owl was tremendous. Empire State is just around the corner, and great food in K-town Can be a bit noisy due to traffic, and loud aircon, but don't let that stop you!

Martinique New York is a great place to stay in the heart of NYC. It’s 10 steps away from the 34th Street Herald Square Subway station (N-Q-R-W Yellow lines, B-D-F-M Orange Lines & PATH), and only one block -a 5-7 minute walk- to Penn Station with access to the subway (1-2-3 Red lines & A-C-E Blue lines) as well as Amtrak, NJ Transit Rail & the LIRR. The area is touristy because it’s in Koreatown, which is a very happening & popular area in NYC. Tons of cute shops/restaurants. The sidewalks on 32nd Street can get packed, but nothing too crazy. The Empire State Building is a 5 minute walk. The room itself was standard-sized for NYC (on the smaller side as compared to the majority of hotel rooms in the U.S.) but nice. It was modern/updated. The A/C worked great. No views from the room’s window (we didn’t pay extra) but who cares? Go see the city! Lobby is chic & smells amazing. There is a daily resort fee of $45 or so per night, but you get $15 of that back in food/beverage credit each day. We never ate/drank at any of the bars/restaurants, but there is a cute little coffee shop in the lobby that has drinks, waters/sodas & pastry items. We used our $15 credit every day as we were heading back upstairs to stock up on drinks/snacks. If you don’t use the daily credit it does NOT roll over. We got a good deal with bundling our hotel & flight. Depending what time of year you come, this hotel is likely a little more expensive than others, but the quality is higher than many.

Our stay was great. The room with two queens was a little larger than I expected based on previous NY hotel rooms. It was very comfortable although our view was of a brick wall. The staff was friendly, especially the folks at the Bronze Owl. The room was clean and well-appointed. My only complaints are that there is a daily resort charge that doesn't really come with any real benefit. I would have had the wifi as a Hilton honors member and the "concierge ticket" business is a third party service that actually couldn't get us any discounted tickets or fares at all. That and only one of the two elevators was working so we often just took the stairs rather than waiting. Still, the price overall was good and the location is excellent... just steps from a subway station, LOTS of good food nearby, easy access to many of the top tourist attractions in midtown.

The things we enjoyed the most about this hotel, were the affordability and the great location. There were definitely some downsides, especially if we were going to spend more time at the hotel. The comforter on our bed was quite soiled and should have been changed out a long time ago. Also, the room seemed to be generally older and had needed repairs if you looked closely enough. Overall, it was not a luxury experience, but we would definitely go back for the great price and location.

This hotel is in a fantastic location in midtown. Close to the 34th street and Penn stations. The staff were very helpful. Good dining options in the hotel, with a diner and a bar in the evening. The only negative is the hotel needs a bit of an uplift and our room was a little dirty.

Convenient location in so called korea way street. Its between the empire state building and penn station. An old hotel with narrow corridors hotel is under going facade renovation. The inner rooms can feel little closterphobic and dark with a small window or rooms facing the street can be too noisy with sirens non stop as any night in new york manhattan. On our stay, On Friday night the neighboring club had street DJ blasting music on the street till 4 am. Isn’t there a quiet hour ordinace in new york? Its a crazy location and too many things are going on! Not a quiet street if you want to rest well at night.

We enjoyed this hotel as a family of 4. It was a large room for NYC standards. Easy location for the touristy things. We were able to walk to Bryant Park, Rockefeller plaza, Times Square. They do charge a $40 resort fee I didn't know about until check in. We were able to check in early, for $50. A parking garage was directly across the street and made for convenient parking.

Great location near Penn Station, Koreatown, subways and buses to get almost anywhere. Staff pleasant, everything worked, very clean, nice sized room and almost too-large bathroom. The one nitpick is the doors (including one between ours and the next room) let in a lot of sound, particularly voices, which could be an issue for anyone wanting to sleep late.

Our stay at the Martinique was OK. Location was pretty good. Would I return? No, there are much better hotels in NYC. We arrived for 3 days at the start of a US road trip. The first disappointment was that when we opened the curtains in our room, all we had was scaffolding and plastic sheeting so for our 3 night stay, we had to keep the curtains closed. The room with 2 queen beds was clean but very compact. Breakfast on day 1 was dreadful. We ordered 4 breakfasts; the least complicated being eggs on toast with a side of bacon and salmon and cream cheese bagel. The bagel came with no cream cheese, the eggs came with no toast. We queried this and it was like we were asking for the earth. The server was awful, suggesting she just gets extra toast (by which time the eggs would be cold) eventually asked to speak to the manager who agreed we hadn't received our order. She was good enough to clear our bill and we left without having eaten and chose to go elsewhere for the other mornings. On our departure day, the lady at reception was very rude and we left with a really poor overall view of the hotel. Needless to say, when we returned to NYC for our flight home, we chose to stay elsewhere.

Very bad experience with the hotel. First, it’s a busy location but the hotel must cater to people who are interested in nightlife. We could hear everyone 5-7 rooms away so we never slept. It was clean but lacking in all things-no pool, no shops, barely a place to get a coffee. The doormen were great as was housekeeping but reception staff was literally fighting with everyone in line. A lot of upset guests. We were charged force night we did not stay because the staff did not cancel it as requested. Very frustrating as no on cares and who do you call to get help? I have had my last bad experience at Hilton. Marriott is SO much better at service.

The room was great, quite large for NYC and the price. The bed was super comfortable too. But what stood out was the staff. Everyone we interacted with from the front desk, the restaurants, room service, the bell staff and security (they retrieved a lost item for us!) were simply amazing. Sooooo friendly and accommodating. This will be our go to for a trips to NYC. Thank you!!

When we moved in there was some repair work going on with terrible noise - we laid early move in fee after transatlantic flight saying that we needed to sleep and then the drilling next to our room drove us crazy. The reception promised that it won’t happen again although it went on till 2pm and the next day the same noise! Moved to different room which was quiet this time but when moving forgot my pj ij the first room and never got it back despite multiple requests. Service can be sometimes slow - my key didn’t work and I had to go twice downstairs to ask someone let me into the room and I waited 40 minutes overall. Not sure if I choose to stay there again - location nice but what if the problems persist?

The staff were very condescending. I arrived at 2, they said my room would not be ready until 4 but for $150 more they could put me in an upgraded room right away. I asked if instead they would text me when my room was ready and they refused. When I came back at 4 that staff person told me she was too busy to wait on me and I should go to another person.

In my 35 yrs of running business in travel industry I was asked to pay an additional fee for 75$ for earlier check in. I had never experienced it before on any hotel. If there is room available it's always given to the guest simply as a sign of courtesy and service sector standart. Not only thst but I was shocked to see the side and class of the hotel Room I was reserved by Expedia for a group of 3 member family, me and my 13 yr old twins; a small room with bathroom in an old school style stainy bathtub almost attached a toilet. Needless that the windows were not cleaned half a year... it was impossible to accept I had to pay an additional of $50 to move to a sensible larger room with a proper bathroom. I think hotel pictures on your website are rather misleading. It should indicate the present state of the establishment that -yes it is a classic old Building/ we like that feature, no issue with that, - it needs to be renovated - half of the hotel building is covered with shoring on the outside for some structural work but I did not see any work in progress, - having said this hotel bellboys do a good job witn smiles and friendliness

Perfect spot right next to Korea town. A few minutes walk to Times Square. There’s subway is 2 feet away which takes you to the rest of manhattan and into Jersey. There’s a Dunkin’ Donuts and a pizza shops right outside. The hotel is quite modern you wouldn’t think it’s super busy and outside. Perfect perfect perfect. I highly suggest this hotel.

We absolutely loved the location. Easy walks to many tourist area attractions. Easy access to subways. Hotel is very central to shopping and dinning. The hotel itself is great, staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms are on the small side, but I think it may be common for NYC, especially in the Manhattan area. I didn't like that there was no fridge or microwave. There is no pool either. We stayed in the upper floors so there was not much noise in the room, just sirens from police and ambulance. However keep in mind when you are walking thru the halls you are able to hear everything people are doing in their rooms lol. Overall it was a great experience and we definitely recommend this hotel.

This property had wonderful staff. Especially the staff in the diner. My only small complaint is the lack of water fountains on the property. To fill my water bottle , I had to go to the gym downstairs. Whenever I mentioned this though the front desk staff happily provided my wife and I with four bottles.

I didnt like the Owl restaurant inside the hotel. That staff was rude and unfriendly. They did not make me feel as if i was welcome there. As for the hotel, i had no issues at all.

The HOTEL wonderful. The service on 10/21/23 at The Press Club at approximately noon to 1pm was HORRIBLE and the food was not much better. ( when we finally received what we ordered) . I should have known when it took 10 min to be noticed another 10 before we got our lukewarm coffee… and it didn’t stop there. I got up on my own to refill coffees, We needed to flag down the waitress everytime the orders where wrong or if we needed anything…she never checked on us. We really tried to be patient and nice but when the bill came and it was wrong…well then even my husband was upset. Which rarely is to be seen.

Great Hotel in terrific location!! We had a great weekend in the City- and the Martinique was a pleasure. Walk to Broadway, Times Square, even Little Italy, or walk 20 yards to the Subway. Hotel was in great condition, super clean and comfortable. Restaurant and Coffee shop were nice to have close, and the bar was a lot of fun. Excellent staff, and I think the reasonable price made it a good decision. We will be back for our next trip to the Big Apple.
