Convenient stay close to Grand Central and Bryant Park. One elevator was broken (but we were alerted to that fact ahead of time by the hotel) so only having one functioning elevator was a nuisance. Coffee and water on the mezzanine was nice, but it would’ve been nice to have a place to sit. Rooms small but functional. Good price for NYC.

The area was great, it was in the hear of Manhattan; walking distance to restaurants, time square, NY public library, etc. However, the hotel had one working elevator which made it horrible for everyone. We were told of this the night before checking in and waiting for the elevator wasn’t fun. During checkout time we had to wait close to 30 minutes to get the elevator to get down as everyone was checking out the same time. They truly need to work on that. Price wise it was good for the location. But the cleanliness wasn’t that good.

As good a location as you could ask for in Manhattan. WE walked to Theater, Restaurants, shops etc. etc. Only one of two elevators was working and the room did not have a frig or a microwave so I'd say it was under equipped for a Marriott Courtyard.

1. Our flight was delayed so that put us in New York a full day later but was still charged the night we didn’t stay. 2. One of the elevators didn’t work so they only had 1 elevator for 30 floors INCLUDING staff. They didn’t have a freight elevator for housekeeping so that made waiting for elevators extremely slow. We waited 45 minutes for an elevator on check out day and gave up. Had to carry our luggage down 16 flights of stairs. TERRIBLE experience. Once we had to walk up the stairs to the 16th floor. 3. I was hung up on 4 times before we arrived to inform the hotel of our flight delays. Seemed like I was an inconvenience. I barely said my name when she answered and she hung up on me. I just wanted to ensure we had a room when we arrived late. Only Pro: the room was cozy and we were able to watch Netflix to wind down each night We enjoyed NY but will not stay at this location again and will not recommend to anyone. The staff were extremely rude so overall terrible experience

I have lost trust in Expedia. The hotel I stayed at has 30 floors but only two elevators, one of which has been out of service and unavailable. I stayed on the 25th floor, and the remaining elevator would often stop at the 10th or 16th floor and then go back down without reaching my floor, possibly due to being overloaded. Sometimes it would just skip my floor entirely. As a result, I often had to use the stairs to go up or down. When I asked the hotel staff how long the elevator had been out of order, they said it had been broken since March of last year. However, Expedia did not disclose this information. While traveling abroad, keeping my phone charged is essential, but I was so afraid of missing the elevator that I chose not to bring my power bank with me on some days. The hotel had a mezzanine floor where coffee, chocolate drinks, water, and a microwave were available, but because using the elevator was so difficult, we ended up buying bottled water in bulk and drinking that in our room. The staff were all friendly, but if I had known about the elevator issue beforehand, I would never have chosen this hotel.

This was a wonderful stay. The staff was very nice. We made a few requests for extra towels and some things we forgot to pack. They were delivered to our room post-haste. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. The floor could’ve been vacuumed a little better, but overall, it was clean and well kept. I recommend.

This is a no frills hotel. You get a bed, you get a bathroom. but only 2 elevators for 30 floors and the staff has to hold one of them for cleaning half the time makes getting to your room a hassle. Otherwise the staff was fine. My room was clean. The bathroom is passable but only barely. The hot water takes a good 2-5 mins to heat up, even on not busy shower times. But if you want to be near shopping, subway, bryant park, the location is amazing. So its a trade off.

This hotel is all about the location! You are right in the middle of 5th avenue, with everything you need around you and great starting point to explore NYC! Everything is ok at this hotel, has all you need. The one thing that needs attention but isn’t a major issue is the air con. It’s old! And is so noisy that it does drown out the outside noise which is really loud, so it could do with an upgrade.

Very noisy. I almost didn’t sleep. I requested a high floor but instead got put on the 4th floor facing a very noisy street. There was also a family next door with a child crying all morning. You can hear everything here due to the layout of the property and proximity of each room to one another. I also attempted to work remote from the room and it was impossible. Housekeeping staff slams doors of rooms and it’s impossible to concentrate. Just very noisy overall and I would not stay here again. The concierge man was very nice and attentive.

I am a bit tired of booking for a family of four and when we show up there are only 2 or 3 towels in the room and we have to call down for more towels and it takes 45 minutes to get them. This happened at this property. The location is great, staff was friendly, room was clean but we had a king and a sofa bed and the sofa bed was amongst the worst I’ve ever slept on. I don’t recommend the rooms with a sofa sleeper if that is an indication of their comfort level.

The hotel is in a great location, but it’s an old hotel and the furniture needs updating. I thank Aiden and front desk allowing my family and I to stay in an upgraded room. They were very accommodating overall. You get free coffee all day, but have to travel for breakfast.

Tatiana and Sophia were fantastic. The gentleman at the door was too. They were so nice and friendly to interact with and they treated my boys (13 & 9) so kindly. Great location and facility. We will stay here again!

We were so happy with this hotel! The staff were so friendly and always welcomed us back from a busy day with a smile and asked how our day was. Yummy cocoa! We were 3 females traveling so we were concerned with our safety and we never felt concerned. Keys needed to operate elevators. They even arranged a ride for us to the airport! Clean rooms, bathroom was great. Do not hesitate, book it now!!

I had the worst check in experience in my life. I had to wait for more than 30 mins to get a room. Their check in time ins 4 PM but showed up around 7 PM still room was not ready. This is completely unacceptable. Lift was not functioning as expected. Many times, it will not stop on the floor even though it is going in the same direction

We loved our stay! Conveniently located right near NY Public Library and Bryant Park. Lots of food options and short walk to Grand Central and other stations. It’s a walkable to Times Square and Rockefeller Center if you are able to. The staff was lovely, especially Pedro! Would definitely come back.

My overall experience was good how ever I called 2 times the day of my arrival and started I was going to be in late because of flight delays, and the Hotel was still over booked and I had stay somewhere else that night. In short that is ridiculous to expect your customers to accept that unscrupulous business practice!

Checked our bags after the stay.went to retrieve our bags and had to wait 30 minutes while they paged Frank the doorman 4 times. When he finally showed up I realized that prior to him showing up we could see him standing Infront of the hotel doing nothing and talking with pedestrians.He went to get our bags and we heard a large bang. Frank never returned, and when I went to check at the baggage storage location I found my suitcase on the floor. My brand new suitcase is damaged and was treated poorly. Since I did not expect to wait 30 mins, I ordered a shuttle to the airport, which came and left before our bags could be walked 15 feet to us. Shuttle was non-refundable and I was left stranded with no wait to reach my international flight leaving in less than 3 hours. Frank completely ruined our trip for us and when you pay the price they charge, you expect at least some common decency. Elevator also did not work and they did not make this apparent prior to booking.

We left a passport behind and asked staff to store it for us until we returned. They said they looked and couldn’t find it so we returned to search ourselves and it was exactly where we told them. Poor customer service for that part of the trip but everything else was great

This hotel is very convenient and walkable to all the local theaters. The staff were very nice. Only 1 elevator working during our stay which made coming and going a little long. No breakfast, but the coffee was very good!

I feel it was under staffed….. and there was 1 person working as the bell boy as well as the valet …. The coffee maker was not working ….. but the hot apple cider was very good and mentioning the good thing they had a nice coffee machine and to be used by the guests for free

We enjoyed staying at the Courtyard as it was very close to things we wanted to do. This hotel is safe and clean, but has few amenities. Ice machines are on only two floors, and there are no washers and dryers. Please check out the coffee bar as the coffee is quite good. If you want a basic clean,safe, and convenient hotel, this is it.

This is a great location but it's cramped in its access on 40th the lobby is very small The rooms are fine but the lobby and the breakfast area which is practically non-existent the coffee is from a machine but it's a great location great great location and actually they stored your luggage on the day that you checked out so that you can go around Manhattan and come back and pick it up which is tremendous service that gives you an extra day if you want it
